Garden Photos - Part 28
Thanks, ladies. Got mine from Fairweather Gardens, mo.
That is a neat pine, definitely!
I get tons of burdock in the outback. Grandma used to make them every spring; breaded and browned in butter. What were those called ??? Cardoons? Those were GOOD!
that tree is great morrigan.
I always liked watching cardoons on Saturday mornings!
Beautiful Bev... I just didn't want to seem like a "forum hog", but I am just sooooo happy to have found all of you. I hvae lots to offer, and lots to learn, and I thank you all. I can't wait for an RU that I can meet some of you at. I am virtually alone up here, and there is no one to talk to about this stuff, save for one friend who I rarely get a chance to chat/garden with b/c of her hectic schedule. So, okay one more....some more of the jewelweed we have here, that I think is both lovely, the Hummers LOVELOVELOVE it more than anything else I have ever seen, and it is a natural antidote to poison ivy, which we unfortnately also have alot of. Oh, and the bees love these flowers too, and that is very important to us...
I got this Turks Lily at last years Round UP. It was nicely potted and tagged with one stem and 2 buds. I also got 2 small hostas from the same person, sorry I forget who.
I just want to say thanks again and show how well this lily is doing. It has 2 stalks with 5 buds each. The hostas are doing well also.

Morrigan you have dmail
I love all of it. I do have trouble keeping up with who posted what but I love that pine Victor and the Faery hangout by the tree and the memorial garden and the meadow, great stuff all of it. I also think I know a relative of your tree man. He is a quiet guy that stays out front, doesn't say much, just keeps an eye on things. I wish he would pipe up a little when bambi comes to visit at least, but he is a calm soul and would not harm anyone. His name is George Oakdale, do you see a resemblance?
haha. definitely a relative. where did you get the stuff for the face? Or did you make it?
Oh no I did not make it. They sell different faces in the garden centers and I think they have them online too. Here are some. There are many more now, some glow at night. http://www.bizrate.com/outdoordecor/products__keyword--tree+face+garden.html
Wow, GREAT shots, everyone! I've gotten too far behind to mention all the ones I love, but there are so many! What a treat to see all these gorgeous blooms and imagine them in the context of your yards and gardens! Bravo, Grand Gardeners!!!

David Paul, Love your strawflowers. May have to try those next year. I'll look up Johnny's.
Andy, nice Turk's Lily. It looks very happy in your garden. Beautiful, rich color.
Very pretty, Allison! I love that white petunia. Is the throat a deep blue?
purple throat... and it's Tidal Wave Silver... I grew from seed... first year with pelleted petunia seed... look good to me

Ok.... so you all might remember up above where I mentioned that I called a bunch of nurseries looking to see if they had any of the big sky series echinaceas, and that two of them mentioned that they were having sales. You won't believe what I walked away with for 33.95. My budget was really only for the echinacea plant, but I decided that if the prices were just tooo good to be true... that $40 was the top.
Not only that, when I mentioned that payday was a week and a half away, they said that they would hold plants for me until then with a raincheck!!!!! (ok, it might help that I actually know these folks some... but still)
So, I can't resist but to post pictures of my score. although, all of it has to stay with me while I'm house sitting.
