Morning everyone, sitting here listening to a Joel Ministries service..so have two googles open.. it is on encouraging yourself..love his attitude..
his talk is on self meditation..some of us are on the wrong channel - off with the defeat channel, off with the who hurt me, off with the I come from a bad upbringing..off with the gloom and despair, we have to switch to the best days are ahead, all things are possible!
That each and everyone of us should make an 'ENCOURAGEMENT' file
if someone half way give you a compliment, mark it down and put it into the file, if you are not being encouraged, make a list of good things you've done, write about the things you like about yourself, that we need to accept and approve of ourselves otherwise we'll never be what we could be...
We need to be reminded of the good things in us...
Truly is a great way to start ones morning...
Sky is black, rumbling going on ... they figure the storm will pass through about 10 or 11..was starting to rain when I left home...
Was tempted to stop at Canadian Tire this morning but thought I'd put in an extra 1/2 hr. as I'm leaving early..who knows, just might stop if I leave a little early...
Thank you for the recipe Ruby, if I get home early this afternoon might just try it..seems simple enough for even I to be successful...
Yep, doesn't Dawn sound as though she's on cloud '9'
Thank you all for your kind thoughts...let's hope Dr. Walc has come up with something...will tell him you'll all call his office if he doesn't find solutions..lol
I did not sleep well last night, falling asleep here as I type and as I listen to the softness of Joel Olsteen's voice...guess I didn't think there was any emotion left within me re Bill, but guess I was wrong..tossed/turned..today's another day..start fresh...
Best/ worse/ ? did you learn today #54 visit with friends...
Liz, meant to ask you, were you affected in any way by the quake??? You were in my thoughts when they said how bad it was...don't you be worrying about me, I am positive that it's something so minor i.e. food allergy or something, it's just the having to jump the hoops - tests/doctors/appts. etc. before they can find it..
Starting to storm..yuk
Ruby, just go on the lookout for old chandeliers..I managed to pick up 3 for a few dollars at garage sales, just take off the electrical part and you are all set..pretty when the candles are lit..
It is an over-cast day today, unlike the scorcher yesterday. I may actually get some plants in the gorund today instead of procrastinating.
Thank you for the receipe Ruby! Yea! I'll gathering up my ingredients and make some of this asap.
Thank you'all for wishing me better luck. Trying times lately and that's putting it mildly. Just have to know it could be worse. I finally decided to tell my DH about the dish washer now that all the other things are either fixed and the doggie is better. Last night, I started to show him how the switch wouldn't turn on, and just as I turned it, the dish washer came on. LOL
Deborah, maybe it knew better than not to work..storming like crazy right now...just the kind of day you' love to be home, laying nicely covered with a blanket, watching t.v. - popcorn by your side...
Oh I love the yellow!
LOL, great minds think alike! Ohwah your white ones has a bee in the middle!
Happy Birthday, Carol and Rachel! ^_^
Happy, happy birthday to Carol & Rachel!!! Enjoy your days!!

Hello hello,
Many thanks for all the good wishes for my birthday...and all the pretty daises..
and Happy Birthday to Rachel... if you are lurking..
Betty..thinking of you today and hoping you get some answers..and that it is just an allergy to a certain food.
I had a wonderful bouquet of the Salmon Stargazer lily greet me today.
I received a gift in the mail from my dear friend in B.C. and she called me too...playing the Beatles tune..When I'm 64...she is a special pal. One of the things in the bundle of goodies are seeds of Cosmos and Shasta daisies from Butchart Gardens. One was a soap with the quote..
"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly our whole life would change" Buddha
The Birthday celebration will be on Sat. with my family in the garden.
I am smiling ...thank you
Hugs,
Carol
Sounds as though you are enjoying your day Carol...thank goodness I left early, hear the 400 north at Canal Rd. is completely shut down...
Just walked in...
Dr. Walc reviewed my files, said the 3 palops they did a biopsy on turned out to be ok - no cancer, so that was good news, so no blockage there...had the catscan, said what they did in the colonoscopy was the lower bowel and now because I was sooo extendetoday(thank goodness I was the size I was for the appt.) that he wants to do the upper bowel..he doubts very much that it is food related, he seems to think there is a blockage, either from scar tissue (kidney operations and hysterectomy) that it could be pressing and creating a kink or perhaps a growth..asked him if I could possibly get tested re foods, irritable bowel etc. but he says he's a surgeon and truly feels it's something totally not food related, so wasn't going to argue with him..so they will telephone me tomorrow and let me know when they are able to get this done...yet another series of test and waiting...told him that if he didn't find something and I'm still under so much pressure below the tummy he'd have to put me 'down' said he'd see...so although it is somewhat good news it's also not getting me anywhere..still don't know what it is...so will be patient...

Hello again,
Betty..glad to hear the good news about the polyps being ok.
Sorry you have to wait on more testing.
Thanks Sharon and Liz for the birthday wishes..it has been a very good day. Nice flower photos..
I had some surprise visitors today..an old friend with a new fella whom I had never met.
He enjoyed the garden very much..he said he would be spending all his time there if it were his. Seemed to know a lot about plants and gardening.
Then my neighbours had me over and gave me a wrought iron Welcome sign for the garden..rustic looking..I'll take a pic when I hang it. Then we all went to get an ice cream cone and drove down to the lake and people watched.
I am getting high speed internet installed tomorrow..hope all goes well. It will be a bit of a pain to have a new e-mail address but I am sure I will love it. Now I will be able to see all your photos quickly.
Good night all......
Rose Graham Thomas
Carol, you people watch too? LOL Me too, along with the wildlife when I have an outdoor outing to the lake. Course sometimes those folks I see can be mistaken for wildlife.
Betty, you still having a storm?
Liz, what glass swap?
Carole happy birthday girl. Have a big piece of cake for us calorie watchers, or two, or three.
Betty that is so dumb. Here they have almost done away with sigmoidoscopies because of this very reason, you are now forced to drink that junk again and do this whole thing over. Dumb, on top of it, if that is where the problem is, they may not have caught it either if you were not so distended today.
You guys I am glad I sound better. It was getting to Greg carrying the load alone, it was getting hard to make it, with no extra money to get by on. It was not the dream job or anything but it landed on me so maybe something great will come out of it. I got an appointment to take the test for the county, imagine this, Wed. when I have to work. I applied weeks ago, go figure.
Just posted Part #3 of pictures and commentary from my trip to Latvia.
Please go see--if you are interested.....

dawn, glad the canas are doing good! oh dosnt it just figure that would happen when you start a new job, another one calls, did you feel the quake?
Evening all, girls just left and Kyle and Noah are spending the night, grandma is heading off to bed and they tell me with no school they possibly will stay up playing till 1:00 or 2:00, they are going out in the boat for a few days, just stopping off for yet an evening to visit before setting out again..all so tanned...
Got a beautiful box of goodies from Jaye as we were on a swap together...a chain watch with beautiful charms, faith, hope, imagine, love...so pretty and I love silver...an elf for my garden, and she made me a time piece..a clock and where each of the 1 - 2- 3 etch are it's a letter with my name...very creative..also a sun hat so I don't get heat stroke...made my day...
Didn't sleep well last night so I'm yawning away, want to respond to all of you but might have to do it when I arrive at work tomorrow...sorry..
Hope you've all enjoyed your day!
Everyone around me felt the earthquake even Greg and he works almost where I work, but I did not. I was worried about my fish though he is a beta on a dresser in a big vase. My nieces in San Diego felt it too since it was pretty decent sized, but they are 3 hours from here and about 2 from the epicenter.
Just checking in to say hi!
Very good news Betty! I am so happy no cancer! It certainly sounds like the doc could be on to something w/ the scar tissue or a kink. Let's hope whatever it is, it's easily fixable!
Chat later!
J
Good Morning!
..I am off to a very busy and exciting day. LOL, DH gave me a wonderful piece of advise. His words of wisdom: Stop thinking about things and just do it!
ROFL, Yep...mulled all the activities around to pieces even. Got the game plan in and well today is the day I will be going non stop...Oh what a great feeling.
Actually started yesterday. Got a call for help and sister to the rescue jumped into action, just, love when I can be helpful, makes me smile. Then tonight after dropping off a bridal shower gift I'v got packing to do. Yep on the go again. But How exciting, we will be having some guests, friends we've not see in ages. So I quick put together photos of the house in cronilogical order, whew...what a task, but it was quite enjoyable.

I figure it can't hurt and geesh, will give me some practice on interviewing...But LOL, i am still going to hold out to the bitter end...Kids are doing well getting excited about school, so gathering supplies and making list of needed items.

hello to Everyone!! Hope you all have a good day.
Wonderful news Betty. I am so sorry that you have to go through more testing and waiting though. What a drag!!!
Hi to everyone. Good to read about everyone days. It is getting to the time of day when I begin to get really tired. I am cooking a pot of Butter Beans, which are my favorite to have at dinner time. I also made a huge toss salad. I love making salads in the summer when everything is fresh and so tasty. The tomato smelled wonderful. Yum.
Bev, the plants that you sent me recently had the plastic knives with the plant names on them. What kind of marker did you use that is permanent? I meant to ask you this before now. We need something that won't wash off so quickly. Thanks honey.
You all have a good evening, and I will check back in tomorrow.
Ruby
