Arlene,THANK YOU for everything you've sent to me, your friendship, and all the great posts!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I wish I had half the gardening success you have (Kassia's pics are AMAZING!!!), but here's one of my waterlogged noid DLs that's holding it's own after all the rain-and quite and unusual color! The DLs you've given me are thriving, but no blossoms from them today :0( They have blossomed and are a wonderful pink!!!
Melissa
...and Jax, too!
Happy Birthday, PIRL!!!
Happy Birthday!! Enjoy! :)
Dear, dear Pirlie -- one of my earliest friends in DG and still the best! You are the perfect friend: invariably loyal and generous, with an acute sense of the proprieties and a wicked sense of humor. I'm so glad you're spending the day with Charlie. Post photos, please. I know you'll have a wonderful birthday and I hope you also have a wonderful year.
Want to be one of the first to say Happy Birthday.
I know you don't post much but probably read nightly.
I often think of you in your gardens.
All the plants you sent are about to bloom including the Choc. Chery Dream DL.
Happy birthday to a great friend and mentor. You are incredible! Enjoy your day, which I hope is filled with sunshine and no weeds!
Happy Birthday from me and the cats. I'm sorry there isn't a flower picture, but I am at work. :(
Zuzu, I couldn't have said it better!
Enjoy your day with Charlie, Arlene! Happy Birthday again!
Harper
What beautiful photos, everyone! Thank you for brightening my day though the sunshine is doing a grand job of it as well but the brightest part comes from my little Charlie.
Jax - (the "hottie") - we've had some good times on threads, haven't we?
Harper - loved the photo (my good buddy JD sent me that duck filled with flowers a year ago today) and loved having you dig here and share the goodies. You'll have to keep returning until you have one of each - your own 2,000 daylilies! You're so kind and such a good helper in the kitchen!
daiseycat - thank you for the greetings.
Zuzu - my sweet rose person who's "sweeter than all the roses". You are so very special to me. My dream would be to spend a day with you, your kitties and your beautiful gardens followed by a few Mudslingers. They were Mudslingers, weren't they? It's easier for me to order Cape Codders but, in any event, "I'll have what she's having".
saanansandy - thank you. That's a beauty, too.
Celeste - gorgeous JI! Yes, I got my Charlie kisses today!
ge - thanks and I've told you before but I do hope you have better luck than I had with that Chocolate Cherry Dreams, a nightmare for me but it has to bloom beautifully for someone and I hope it's you.
Thanks, Candyce - the weeds weren't listening to your wishes but at least it was only the simple to remove clover. It's a lovely day even if it is warmer than the 70 I prefer.
Celeste - gorgeous JI! Yes, I got my Charlie kisses today!
ngam - what a lovely photo. The horrible deer got my daylilies so it's wonderful to see a good shot of them from your gardens. Thank you.
Al - such a beautiful dahlia! Thanks for all your encouragement, your dahlias and your help in raising them. If I take more of a break than I'm taking now the work will wait for me but you'd send me to the fields quickly if you knew I was tying up dahlias (again and again). You're a delight to know and I hope we get to meet someday.
HHH/Thom - we missed you so much on Saturday! Maybe next time? Thanks for the good wishes.
Nanegoat/Nance/Nancy - it was so great to meet you last Saturday. Thanks for the good wishes and thanks for all of your help in the kitchen. You and Harper made the day a snap for me. I just loved meeting you - big thanks to Harper for telling me about you since I haven't been posting or watching the NE forum.
Lynn/mamasita - you've enriched my life so much with our Dmails. Thank you for always being there for me and sharing recipes with me. We didn't have enough fresh peas so I used green beans for the Crunchy Pea/Bean Salad and it was a huge hit. Loved the cashews and bacon on top!
schickenlady - how beautiful the morning glories are! Thanks for the greetings.
WC (I still say it's for Winston Churchill!) - thanks for the greetings, "neighbor", and the rose. Is that 'Peace'?
bebop - what a beautiful Eastern Swallowtail. You took a perfect photo of him enjoying his day - so glad you can't see the wreck I am enjoying my day today. Thanks!
Joy and family - you truly are a real JOY to know. I admire everything about you and your family. I thought of you as we ate the Raspberry Peach pie my daughter brought over on the Portmeirion plates! Charlie took the Primula plate since he liked it best and he says the name very well along with Aegopodium, Houttuynia, Caladium, Amaryllis and Cyclamen. I've started him off with some good names to remember but Aegopodium is the one he sings and dances to. Your lilies are beautiful - thank you, Joy.
Cat - thanks for the good wishes.
Harper - it's always good to hear from you again.
Victor - my dear friend, thank you for the lovely words. I feel the same about you. Go ahead and pick me for your gardening team but I do have to have time out for naps. Thanks for the beautiful daylily photo. Forget about "Everybody loves Raymond" because everybody (with a brain) loves our Victorgardener! You have my admiration and my respect.
Kassia - such a pleasure to know you and have held you hostage for the weekend. Thank you for the lovely greeting. Maybe the deer will leave my dahlias alone so I can have bountiful blooms on them.

P.S. Yes, Victor, I know about family photos and know it's not the wise thing to do but they (and my son, at work today) are my pride and joy so just this once I need a pass.
Edited to add Zuzu's Pirlie and Jeanette's Pirl Girl.

Certainly!
Oh Pirl, he's grown sooo much and what a handsome young man!!
A huge change from my little black haired Elvis when he was born!
Very cute! He's really belting it out.
oh I miss his nice smile already.... such a pleasant boy!!!!! too bad you can't post him saying that plant name! that I certainly forgot already!!!!
a-GEE-po-di-um is how he says it and sings it though it's really Ageopodium.
We'd have a couple of mudslides, Pirlie, but I'm sure we'd find time for some mudslinging.
Fun, fun, fun!
How did I forget Pirlie? I'll edit my post above to include it.
Thanks, Sharon. No message for me from my favorite, Aunt Bett? No potion for an instantly young hot body? Or is that my physical therapist? See, I'm forgetting already!
I'll be happy to share Aunt Bett's potions with you, Pirl, but I am keeping my P.T. for myself. His name is Dr. Love, by the way.
Believe it or not, my sister's GYN's name is Dr. Love!
Ahhhh, Victor to my rescue, now you know I am not making that name up!!!
How funny. OB GYN.
I thought it was great to have a pain management/PT by that name.....but your sister's doc is even better. And I adore my Dr. Love, by the way, which is why I won't let Pirl have him.
Pirl, you have the most beautiful picures of all! What handsome kids- the little guy is a cutie!!!
I admit I am nagging my son to get to work on a similar project ;0) *sigh* you can never get men to do anything.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Pirl, Happy Birthday to you.
Hope your having a fantastic day.
Donna
