pirl wrote: What beautiful photos, everyone! Thank you for brightening my day though the sunshine is doing a grand job of it as well but the brightest part comes from my little Charlie. Jax - (the "hottie") - we've had some good times on threads, haven't we? Harper - loved the photo (my good buddy JD sent me that duck filled with flowers a year ago today) and loved having you dig here and share the goodies. You'll have to keep returning until you have one of each - your own 2,000 daylilies! You're so kind and such a good helper in the kitchen! daiseycat - thank you for the greetings. Zuzu - my sweet rose person who's "sweeter than all the roses". You are so very special to me. My dream would be to spend a day with you, your kitties and your beautiful gardens followed by a few Mudslingers. They were Mudslingers, weren't they? It's easier for me to order Cape Codders but, in any event, "I'll have what she's having". saanansandy - thank you. That's a beauty, too. Celeste - gorgeous JI! Yes, I got my Charlie kisses today! ge - thanks and I've told you before but I do hope you have better luck than I had with that Chocolate Cherry Dreams, a nightmare for me but it has to bloom beautifully for someone and I hope it's you. Thanks, Candyce - the weeds weren't listening to your wishes but at least it was only the simple to remove clover. It's a lovely day even if it is warmer than the 70 I prefer. Celeste - gorgeous JI! Yes, I got my Charlie kisses today! ngam - what a lovely photo. The horrible deer got my daylilies so it's wonderful to see a good shot of them from your gardens. Thank you. Al - such a beautiful dahlia! Thanks for all your encouragement, your dahlias and your help in raising them. If I take more of a break than I'm taking now the work will wait for me but you'd send me to the fields quickly if you knew I was tying up dahlias (again and again). You're a delight to know and I hope we get to meet someday. HHH/Thom - we missed you so much on Saturday! Maybe next time? Thanks for the good wishes. Nanegoat/Nance/Nancy - it was so great to meet you last Saturday. Thanks for the good wishes and thanks for all of your help in the kitchen. You and Harper made the day a snap for me. I just loved meeting you - big thanks to Harper for telling me about you since I haven't been posting or watching the NE forum. Lynn/mamasita - you've enriched my life so much with our Dmails. Thank you for always being there for me and sharing recipes with me. We didn't have enough fresh peas so I used green beans for the Crunchy Pea/Bean Salad and it was a huge hit. Loved the cashews and bacon on top! schickenlady - how beautiful the morning glories are! Thanks for the greetings. WC (I still say it's for Winston Churchill!) - thanks for the greetings, "neighbor", and the rose. Is that 'Peace'? bebop - what a beautiful Eastern Swallowtail. You took a perfect photo of him enjoying his day - so glad you can't see the wreck I am enjoying my day today. Thanks! Joy and family - you truly are a real JOY to know. I admire everything about you and your family. I thought of you as we ate the Raspberry Peach pie my daughter brought over on the Portmeirion plates! Charlie took the Primula plate since he liked it best and he says the name very well along with Aegopodium, Houttuynia, Caladium, Amaryllis and Cyclamen. I've started him off with some good names to remember but Aegopodium is the one he sings and dances to. Your lilies are beautiful - thank you, Joy. Cat - thanks for the good wishes. Harper - it's always good to hear from you again. Victor - my dear friend, thank you for the lovely words. I feel the same about you. Go ahead and pick me for your gardening team but I do have to have time out for naps. Thanks for the beautiful daylily photo. Forget about "Everybody loves Raymond" because everybody (with a brain) loves our Victorgardener! You have my admiration and my respect. Kassia - such a pleasure to know you and have held you hostage for the weekend. Thank you for the lovely greeting. Maybe the deer will leave my dahlias alone so I can have bountiful blooms on them. Pirl Pirle Pril Pirlie Pirl Girl Pirlene Perlene Arlene Arla Honey Mom and best of all ... Grandma P.S. Yes, Victor, I know about family photos and know it's not the wise thing to do but they (and my son, at work today) are my pride and joy so just this once I need a pass. Edited to add Zuzu's Pirlie and Jeanette's Pirl Girl. This message was edited Jul 29, 2008 6:04 PM |
