Garden Photos - Part 27

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

There was one in a rip-off nursery near me that was about 24" and it cost $3500!

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I like my $3.99, thank you very much!!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Think I paid about $7 for my little ones. Lost them all last year.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I debate whether I should bring them into the greenhouse for the winter, or not.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

How deep is the pond?

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Mostly 1 foot, but the deepest is 3 .... just under 3,000 gal

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

3 is easily deep enough for them to survive. You just have to keep a hole open all the time - use a heater.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I only worry about a power failure.

Of course, I should have a generator, so I don't have to worry.

New Hampshire, NH(Zone 5b)

The fish will survive for a little while without the hole - so once the power comes back on the heater will melt a hole in the ice again and they should be fine. I lost power for 3 days two winters ago and all my fish survived the winter.

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Hey folks! Having fun getting caught up on everyone's beautiful blooms. Had family visiting and came down with Bronchitis so the garden's been on the back burner. Getting better now! Here's what's blooming...
I keep trying out green flowers, this one I started from seed, Zinnia 'Envy'.

Hard to photograph this patch. I have white Alyssum and Blue Lobelia from seed. They are so tiny that they blur in the breeze.

Beautiful shots all, as always. I love all of the lillies and daylillies.

Onewish, I finally remember where I bought that huge lilly from, I think that I will help to identify it when I have time to go rumaging through their catalog her soon. But, I'm 90% sure that I bought it from brent and becky's bulbs. Maybe you bought something from them as well? Anyhow. I hope to have time to do that tomorrow night. We'll see.

Willie that red hibiscus is amazing.
