Thanks! I can't take the credit on that one. I pointed to it as I was driving out of the driveway the other morning and DH captured it for me.

High of 91 cloudy so it doesn't feel as hot, slight chance of thunderstroms, which translates to no rain for us.

I got black clouds for 2 hours this afternoon, but not a drop.

It's actually raining a bit here! Doubt we'll get much but beggars can't be choosers.

Nice downpour so far.

Started out with a few scattered drops and hour ago, while I was out picking veggie. Just enough to cool me down! Since then it's been a steady increase to a nice light rain, with the temps dropping as we go along. Right now it's about 78 confortable degrees out there!

We got about 1/3 inch so far. Not bad.

No rain here today either. Did a lot of dead heading and weeding. Radar looks like the rain will be north of Nantucket. currently 70. It got to 80 today, but overcast most of the day, so it was a good day to work in the garden. Billions of bees today, and wasps and dragonflies. Patti

Misty this morning--then sun, approached by a powder blue dragonfly. Asked it to introduced itself, but snotty.

I think my dragonfly is a Eastern Pondhawk (Erythemis simplicicollis). He was pretty cooperative, but my camera's batteries went dead while I was shooting him so he was gone by the time I got it reloaded with fresh ones. Patti

We have been so hot and rainless here. They're saying some rain tonite and tomorrow. We've had the AC on here for 5 days which is unusual for us. The flowers are drooping. I'm praying for rain!

Rain overnight, overcast and the cool this am.

72, overcast and humid. Got a shade under 3/4 inch so far. Hoping for 1-2 inches when it's done tomorrow.

Weeding will be easier today. Out to tackle a couple of beds that I had put on ignore. I don't want to come back from vacation to find a jungle. Yes, I vacation from Nantucket in the summer, as I need my big tree and lake fix with my Mom up in Canada. 93 and still out in her canoe. Too funny. I hope I got her genes. My Dad died young, well three years older than I am now. Miss him terribly. Patti

Cloudy and 71° and humid. Got about 1/8th of an inch of rain last night, but man was it great to hear!

Great day to weed, now its raining. Go figure.

Got another short shower over night. More later today could be a good soak. Overcast and no wind at the present time. Temp hovering around 70 degrees.

Rain overnight & damp conditions now. Have to move iris marking inside--takes more time that way as they must dry first.

It's 70, cloudy, & this morning, showery---weather people keep talking about heavy rain, but haven't seen any yet--the garden looks happy, though!

Yes I see that band making its way east.

Have to take Mom to doctor today for reg. visit. They are saying it could get nasty this afternoon. Hope to get there, scoff up some ice cream sundaes and get back to batten down the hatches. All calm right now, is that a bad sign do you think?

2:50 pm drizzle, drizzle, drizzle !

A Tstorm is just finishing here, a trickle of rain yet. Wow! Rain, twice in one day. We really haven't had much rain here in town since maybe mid June. SOmetimes we see the line of storms go all around us. I think they collaborate and just want to tease us. "Oh, here we come...........NOT" Anyway, I'm just giddy with excitement to have RAIN.

3:30 PM The sky turned dark as night and it started pouring. Lights flickered, thunder roared, with lots of lightening. I had to lighten up my pic, since it looked dark as night.
