Hi Sequee and Victor and all: Nope, Carmel SBUX is not on the hit list, thank goD! Yes, it IS quite a hike for him. But, he has to support the animals, I can't work anymore because of a chronic illness, so he's got to do the hunting, and I do the gathering :-))
Weather in Craryville: (to quote a famous late comedian; we only steal from the best, you know): Hot and crappy, this afternoon, hot and crappy, with this evening supposed to be cloudy and hot and crappy. We only got 1/4" rain in last night's supposedly flash-flood, severe Tstorm. So much for NOAA.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 26
Well it is just plain old stupid hot here. Inside and out. 89 degrees and the air is so thick and muggy you could almost use a spoon to gather it up. Sun blaring down and only a slight hot breeze to mix things up. Not much better inside now, 80 degrees a slightly less humid. Have fans going but I hope it doesn't get much worse. You know how older people have trouble regulating their temp. My mom has not complained about the heat just that there is no air. It does feel that way. Hope that AC guy shows up soon. A little rain to clear the air might help too but that's not looking so good right now either. :(
Temp 90.8, Wind SSW 1.3, Rh 42%, Baro 29.61 steady. ☺
Sorry bout your A/C ngam hope you get some coolness soon!
Mostly sunny & clear skies here.
Pouring, yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. DH has to take the oil tanker out, so I guess I should hope it stops, but this is real rain. They may wait until the next high tide. Patti
Bright and sunny.
It’s cooled down a little, 84 now, still not a drop of rain. I’m off to take my first tractor ride in 8 weeks, hope I make back inside!
Yes - good omen! Congrats on the rain and the repair guy.
Raining again today here in Gorham - but nothing like the thunderstorm we had the other day. My bit of Gorham was OK but a lot of the town lost power for about 18 hours. The rain flattened some of my corn stalks but we righted them and propped them up and they seem to be OK.
Rain stopped,
Temp down, still humid
Sorry to hear that, Jenni. Welcome to the forum!
Seems to have cleared.
Partly cloudy, 75ºF

I don't know when it happened but I came home to almost 2 inches of rain in the gauge. Garden looks good, surprised at how much it grew in a week while I was away. I was in California for a week, and inland it was 102 one day. The coast was beautiful.
Welcome home, Deb! We missed you.
Still no rain...
That was me, Deb. To make you feel good I ran over and filled the gage...Wish someone would do that for me!
heehee!
garden looks too good for that though!
thanks Nance!

We got about a 1/2 hours worth of rain last night, but the muggies continued--couldn't turn off the A/C--I always thought of rain as cooling! But my plants loved it, many more cukes in the garden--had to make pickles today. Son called to say all his kids were sick on the Block Island ferry today---glad the Sound was like a bathtub on Sat., & really glad I did not go to BI! It was muggy, hot, & just plain Yucky here today--don't think the humidity is leaving anytime soon. Good luck with the party, Pixie--Justin has great taste in birthday fare!
Very lucky here....rained off and on all day today.
Still nothing here, I had a cloud of dust hovering over the tractor. Showers seem to be either out over the ocean or north of me. I’m hoping for a hit before the night is over but it doesn’t look good.
it got dark out here before dusk.... looked like it was going to do something then....no rain again
Temp 77.1°, Rh 59%, Baro 29.64 steady. ☺
Mostly clear skies here tonight.
We got rain! Twice! Hot, humid, and sunny until 3PM when the sky opened up. It poured for about 15 minutes and then cleared up. Same thing happened about 5:30 PM. My rain gauge is showing 3", but my sprinklers were going for 20 minutes earlier in the day. Anyway, Yeah from me too.
Can you send some rain down here? We haven't had any in 2 weeks.
Just too hot!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back Debbilu
It's foggy and humis here,Cape Daisy plant has some sort of white mossy disease, humiditu and rain are hard on plants that need a dry spell.
Humid
Foggy
Rainy week forecast
Wish I could send some to all you guys and gals that need the moisture. Our gardens looked wonderful, after having received all the nutritious rains of the past two days, or has it been three? I forget. It's an age thing you know ...
The gardens always look better after receiving rain from the skies rather than rain from the hose.
Candyce we are having the same weather. Scattered thunder showers for every day until Next mid week.
We know how that changes but I can't remember waking up to soooo much condensation on everything and fog.
Some plants aren't liking this unable to dry out overnight and showers everyday.
Another day of the same??
Partly cloudy, 66ºF

Starting out about 10 degrees cooler than the last several days at mid sixties. Little less humidity too. Skies are overcast and little or no wind. Showers predicted and I hope one floats by this area again today.
70 and overcast. Need more rain, maybe tomorrow. But happy for some. Patti
Temp 76.4°, Wind E 3.9, Rh 60%, Baro 29.73 steady. ☺
Overcast skies, with am fog & mist slowly burning off.
Heading to E. hampton on thursday. Anyone close enough that I can monitor your temp and keep abreast of the situation? With my luck, that's when/where the rain will fall!
Overcast, 77 and humid.
Sun just creeped out from behind the cloud cover. Dang! It seemed a tad cooler this morning.
Same here. Another hot one but today is hazier and more humid. Rain is in the forecast - ha!
We had such a fun cloud pattern last night that i was wishing i had your camera, Victor! You'd have gotten an excellent shot, I'm sure!
It was cooler & cloudy this morning--just returned from an hour's hike----just saw a peek of the sun, hope it stays behind the clouds for a change--finally able to turn off the dreaded A/C!
I had my first hummingbird this morning he always comes when the cardnal plant bloosm
don't know how he makes a living before that.
Peter
