Good luck, Candyce. Stay safe.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 26
I believe it, Sherrie.
Was there much damage where you are?
I'm glad your gardens were OK, then. Ours looked a bit wind-blown, or deluge-toppled, otherwise, OK.
well the wind picked up here... and looks real hazy out... might get a piece of that storm
The radar shows something right over me, but I'm still tapping my fingers...
Whoo-hoo! Thunder and lightning and BIG, FAT exploding raindrops! I stood out there until I was soaked through, then came in to sit under the ceiling fan! Most refreshing!
Still 92 degrees out there! Hope this cools things down instead of turning it into a steam bath!
Lucky you! I'm still hoping.
PekeBoo would debate that with you. He's trying to climb back up the womb. What a scaredy-dog!
89, sun blazing, rain abating. Does a 15 minute downpour count for anything?
Yes - a tease.
LOL! I know all about those...~:-)
Good luck, Sherrie!
Looks like the storm headed your way, Sherrie, will miss us by a couple of miles to the north. But there's more on the way, for sure. I love watching the interactive radar ~ LOL!
I'm starting not to believe the radar at all! Just showed a number of pops right over me and yet I have gotten nothing at all. One even showed yellow on the radar.
Yeah, Sherrie. I see that one on the radar.
Sorry that you have no rain, Victor.
There is a whole long line of them popping up, I hope you guys are okay up there. Looks like the front is sinking SE, if it doesn't fizzle out we might get some rain here in a few hours. Victor I hope one of those rain blobs that are going over you decide to drop a little rain your way.
Even if it is just a little tease...
My mother is house/cat sitting not far from you, Sherrie. She's in Brewster. I was on the phone with her when she suddenly said, "It's POURING!"
Nothing here, though. Hazy, hot & humid.
Hey, Victor - remember not to long ago I was whining about how tired I was of being COLD?
:oD
Nancy
Yes, I do, Nancy! I could use a nice 20 - 25 degree drop right now.
Hey, gab - your Mom is right up the road from me! I'm 2 exits away from Brewter on I84!
Temp 78.8°, Wind S 2.4 mph, Rh 57%, Baro 29.76 steady. ☺
Almost a carbon copy of last 'nite's readings except today was miserably hot , reaching 93.8°. Thankfully the lawn is green & the plants & bonsai are doing well. Haven't planted/ transplanted anything since the beginning of the month. Too hot & dry to risk it.

no rain AGAIN today....sigh... all these pots are killing me
I think Sherrie got all of yesterday's rain. We didn't get a drop on this end of the lake, although the other end of the lake got rained on pretty hard. It's funny how that happens.
The forecaster is predicting more of the same weather for today. We'll see if it rains on us or not. Like Victor, I'm not holding my breath and I am getting the watering hoses ready.
Currently it is 67°

No wind so windows are still open.

Hazy sunshine, 80 degrees and humid again. No rain here yesterday, chance again today.
Temp 83.4°, Wind SW 5.1, Rh 54%, Baro 29.79 steady.☺
Not a cloud in the sky here, hazy sun and humid, (compared to what we're used to).
83 and 60% RH. Another yuck one. Started dragging the hose to all the soaker hoses yesterday. Will do the rest today. Actually, it seems we have a heat wave most years around this time. If you look at a plot of the annual temps, the peak is always around the 23-26th of July in this area. Ugh.
Good time for an Alaskan Cruise if it wasn't that I'd come back to the Sahara! ☺
Here's what I was describing:
