These are the topiaries that Cy had planted top and bottom of the knot garden. If memory serves me right this is lemon verbana...I think...
official date of NJ gathering - September 13th
Was it germander? I think he called it "poor man's box".
Yep. That's it. lol.
I kept wanting to type Corriander, but that was in those tasty treats his wife made...lol.
They WERE tasty and good, too. I liked the rhubarb punch as well. It was refreshing. I wouldn't have guessed that it was rhubarb though.
So glad we were there on Sat. and not in the heat and humidity of Sun. That was brutal!!!
Sequee & Allison, I'm going to take a guess at your unidentified flower in the photo Allison posted. I believe it's some type of Plumeria. The leaves resemble the 2 I am growing now so I went to PF's.
This first one is a white one but the leaves almost look right.

These next 2 pictures resembles the flower.

Looks like you guys had a great time! I have a lot of shade too... maybe I could do that coleus trick somewhere... (if my cuttings survive the winter). I always think of annuals as potted plants, unless they reseed... isn't that silly!
Pixie I think you got it... that photo does look like it... good job!
Awe shucks, I was just looking to see if anyone was out of the blue doing anything in Jersey. And I missed it! I didn't think things went on here ;-). I'll have to keep a better eye on things more often now. Looks like you guys had fun. :) Andrea
hello Andrea.... I hope we do this again next year... maybe when his gardens are in full swing
Allison
I will attempt to fatten up my checking account over the winter...lol.
Count me in if I'm able. Woohoo!!!
I'll make sure I keep a look out for it then :-) Thankyou! Andrea
going try and make the rhubarb punch today
:)
Let us know how it turns out. Have fun.
mental note... take the top off the blender and cover with a towel.... unlike me... that burned my arm and stomach
I am fine... but WOW did that hurt
it came out really good.... everyone was raving about it... I did a double batch and it barely made enough to fill a 2 quart container.... it might be smart to mix a big batch of the juice and can or freeze it before adding the ginger ale to make the effort worth while
