poor guy
official date of NJ gathering - September 13th
Bah, ha, ha! :-)
bump...plus
Is this RU still gonna happen?
I'm going to put a tentative yes to this, barring anything else may happen.
I might be able to do the 2 birds with 1 stone thing...
I have been wanting to go to the Coleus farm for a bit...not sure exactly where it's at, but it is in NJ.
Might try to squeeze both of these in...even if the other is for just an hour or so...

as long as we get 12...... and if we don't my plan was to call and see if they will still do it.....the coleus farm will be about an hour from the herb farm... i might want to go there too... would you go before or after?
You can put me down for a definate.
Dave
YEAH DAVE!
Allison, looks like I will be able to go too.
Golldarnit (don't know how to spell that but you know what I mean), I'd love to come but I can't. I'm sure you'll all have a fabulous time!
yeah.... it will be nice to see you again
How many yeppers do you have already?
Put me down as a definite.
Not sure about when I would be going to the Coleus Farm...there was a fellow DG'er that had a personal invite from the owner a few weeks ago (maybe a month or so ago) and I had asked if I could tag along, and, well, that was as far as I got. The Coleus Farm's open invite is from 10am-4pm, so visiting there would depend on when everyone was at the herb farm, and what time constraints we had there...
It's all up in the air. The Coleus Farm does not have a specific number of people for a tour, that was one reason I was looking to go there, kind of a RU back up...lol.
Let me know, please!
It will be fun and I won't have to go over 22 bridges to get there :)
our tour starts at 10:00.... and they are doing the tea thing at 1:00... my guess would be they would want us out of their hands before then... and we are up to 8 now... only 4 more needed
well it looks as though I am going to have to make that call and see if they will still do this if we don't have 12
:(
hey ho! I'm in Portland, OR visiting with DGKs. Am having a great time.
Before I came out here, I was able to confirm with my niece about that weekend. Looks like it is a go for me. YIPPEE!!! So, I am looking forward to seeing you. However, I can only do the morning tour.
I visitred a nursery here yesterday. It was beautiful. In am helping DS planning a little something.
So, greetings from OR.

I'm still waiting to hear from my step mil, they haven't received the tickets for Celine yet to check the date. I'll try to press her to see if she can def find out what date, I'm sure there has to be a way instead of having to wait to physically get the tickets(they are getting them as a gift from her daughter).
Jan great news! Have a safe trip back.
One wish I would have gone, the problem is the week end part!
Hey onewish. You can put my wife down to go also. She's not a hundred percent sure she can take off but I'll pay the price for her either way.BTW I would think they will take a group short of twelve as long as we pay for twelve people.Right now there are 9 of us.If we had to split the difference that would be $1.50 extra each.I would be willing to do that.
Wild Senna
I'd pay the diff also !
I would too... but I wasn't sure if anyone else would...
ooohhhh I can't wait!!!!
Oh yeah, I'd pay the diff. I didn't know we could do that.
I don't know if that's possible either... but I can ask
:)
Count me in for the difference.
you coming Yankee???..... woo hoo
My step mil can't make it.
next time
I'll be home early Tuesday morning. Will see if the niece that lives near there can go. She seemed interested before cuz she LOVES it there. Am anxious to see how the garden fared during my absence. I think Mom kept my DH on his toes. I know there was some rain while I was away, so that helped. However, I brought the HOTTT weather with me out here. 102, but not much humidity. It was much more bearable than Jersey summers.
Looking forward to metting you all.
Jan
Almost there one wish! Wish you good luck, I only wish I could! Clem
I can't wait!!!
Sorry, but now I won' be able to make it, we'll be in Lancaster/Strasburg. We've been promising my son we'd go in Sept when Thomas the Train would be there and of course it's that weekend.
oh no..... I will miss you... but Thomas is more important
At least to a 5 year old! lol
So sorry to miss you. I was looking forward to meeting you.
Several years ago my mom and I took DGS to see Thomas when we were out in Oregon. It was fun. Expect lots of people though. It will be a great trip through Amish country. Riding the Strasburg Railroad is one thing I'd like to do with the GKs that live close by one day. However, not with Thomas. From my house it's only about an hour out there.
Jan
I was really looking foward to it, oh well next time.
Yeah we're figuring there will be a ton of people there, it takes about 1hr and 45mins from here. My son is going to be in 7th heaven. We won't tell him till we're actually driving out there.
good news is two friends of Michele might come
ok good news all.... I spoke to the people at well sweep... if we don't have 12 she was ok with us splitting the cost to make up for the loss
so our deposit is in... and we are good to go
:)
Hey ho. My niece is going to come also. Yippee. She really likes
Wellsweep and only lives about half an hour away, so I'll pick her up to be my co-pilot. We can only be there in the morning though, cuz we are planning an 89th birthday party at my other niece's house down near Flemington in the afternoon. This is a major undertaking, and am hoping Mom is up to the trip. I have been asuring her it will be fine. We'll bring the oxygen machine, etc. She and I are spending Friday night there cuz it is so far for us to come just for the day. I think seeing a lot of her family will be great medicine for her. She has been on hospice care since April, but has improved dramatically, so her nurse thinks she can handle it.
I am so looking forward to meeting you all.
jan
Forgot to add that Paul is going down with me also.
Thom - it will be good to see you guys again! One of the sweet potato tubers you gave me survived and it is gorgeous in the planter on my porch with silver falls diachondra.
