Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

my neighbor sounded interested... so there is one more... hopefully we can get to 12

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Wish I could join you . . . it sounds like fun!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it really is a great place... such nice people too

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, I did read the directions, but I'm a dunce. Does abyone have any idea how far this is from Summit? (Like from airport exit off the Garden State, where 78/24 combine?)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

a bit under an hour... according to mapquest

http://www.mapquest.com/mq/10-_UPW

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Duh - never thought of that! I will see if I can find a more direct route!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I know the directions off 46 are the same way my gps took me there.. the last time we went

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm thinking that taking 84 or 87 might drop me down closer. I just wanted to get my bearings frm my normal NJ destination!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

am i officially adding you to the list then?

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

That's the weekend I'm supposed to be going camping. I'm going to check and see if there's a (kayaking) campground nearby. My camping buddy is big on herbs and LOVES tea, so I know she's be happy to attend, too. Just need to do a bit of research!

PS - If there are les than 12, I wonder if they wold give the tour for a "donation"?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

not sure.... I guess if we don't make it I will call and see

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

i am interested, not sure yet if i am available. 10 am is an awfully early start time for someone 3 hours away!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Oh come one Amy, I was 5 1/2 hours away from Kassia's I just had to leave at 4:30 AM!!!

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

OMG - you're a tough cookie! I'm squirming about the 2 hours myself.

Hmmm - What route are you taking from New Haven...?

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Whatever mapquest sent me... But my schedule is highly variable until a week or two out.
Yes, Jen, i know! But i am just not a morning person. If i have an early am call, i can get there on time, i just don't like it. But i never choose to get up early...
^_^

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I'd love to go. My schedule is packed right now and I'm getting a little burnt out, so I can't give a "yes" answer. If I do go, Sequee, I can drive you.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the reason we had to book so early is because of the tea thing later on... she wanted to make sure we had enough time to see everything.... and yes Jen is a tough cookie!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I am soooooooo NOT a morning person either. You know I really wanted to go to that RU to get up at 4AM. I had gone to bed at 2!!!!

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

hahahaha. Now THAT sounds more like me...
^_^

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I want to go! If Harper goes then I can probably ride with her. :) If I drive I can take Amethystsm.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yup!

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

You guys are tempting me! Should I??? Clemen

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I'm still working on getting someone to take Mom that day. It's 3 hrs for me as well. Hopefully I can come up the night before to a relative with Mom, that would make it easier on her. At this stage of care, it is all about her and her needs. It would be great if we could do that, cuz her 89th birthday is just a couple of days later, so maybe we could have a party at my niece's during the same trip. Thanks again for doing the legwork for this. I'm anxious to meet you all in person.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Since I don't know all the ins and outs of this site yet, is it possible to find out who is in NJ and send them dmail? (I'm also technologically-challenged)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

89 WOW!
You can hit the home tab then under that is FAQ Extras Marketplace, etc click on extras and under DG connections it has find other dg'rs in your area.
Not everyone frequents the Northeast forum, though. So go to the Northeast forum and the 3rd post down is a sticky with everyone's name and location. I think only about 4 or 5 of us live in NJ that frequent NE forum.
Do you need to hitch a ride?? You can meet me at my house if you want.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I put a post in the RU forum... but only 4 views so far.... not looking good... wasn't sure where else to try and attract some locals

the more the better Clem.... shouldn't be too long of a ride for you

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

I'll have to map it onewish, it might be a possibility, I see it is a Sat, that makes it a little more difficult, I'll check the calendar and let you know. it sounds like a lot of fun! Clemen

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

:(

it is a saturday

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Thanks for the offer flowerjen, but I will decline since I need to bring Mom to my niece's house who lives near Pittstown, if it is okay with her. I would hate to have you counting on it and then something happened that I couldn't make it. Mom really hasn't been away from the house since May, cuz of hospice care, but she is doing amazingly well. That's why I am even considering taking her for an overnight. Just all the logistics will need to fall into place. That's why I'm still a Maybe.
I went to the page you suggested and I was BLOWN away. There were 5 pages of subsribers that live within 67 miles of me including you. I had to pick up my chin off the floor.
I am also trying to get my other niece to go possibly. She lives in Califon, within 20 miles of Hackettstown.
Keep prayin that the details fall into place, please.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

ok checked the map, a little too far for me, sorry, I'll have to decline, and it is a Sat and dh and my girls demand too much of me, i only wish I could go! Clemen

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we have plenty of time Jan.... hope all goes well though

sorry to hear it Clem
:(

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

well my next door neighbor is finding out if her SIL is interested .... hopefully that will be one more

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I'm getting so tired of driving, but I want to go so bad! I grew up in Chester and then moved to High Bridge when I was a teen. Port Murray is home for me!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

That would be great, Harper!!!
I mentioned it to my niece that lives in Califon and she got so excited. She loves the herb place. So, I will put all my effort into coming and get her to come as well.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

you can do it Harper!!!

:)

hope you can figure it out too Jan

I know I am getting excited to go

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

My step mil may be able to make if that not the day they are going to see Celine Dion.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

herb garden is better anyway

;)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

That's what I think. My fil is being dragged to her concert, he doesn't even know who she is!! Too funny.
