Looks like rain, smells like rain, but no rain. 10 drops. I hope we get a layday with tons of rain tomorrow. I need a break from the fence work and the plants need buckets of rain. Patti

We are taking the kids to Santa's Village in Bracebridge this week and they are calling for 60% chance rain the whole week! UGH!!! That really sucks!!! I do hope it doesn't rain the whole time so at least we can get in some good family fun!

Bummer, Dawn. Hope they're wrong! Yes, people who waste water, even in non-drought years, drive me nuts.

DawnLL, I can't believe that place is still running. I am 63 and we would go every year from the mid 50's mostly for my two younger brothers. I should stop in again for old time sake when I get to the cottage the last week in July. One of my baby brothers just got up to Lake of Bays last night. Hope he has some decent weather so he gets all the chores done before we get there!

Stupid hot again here. Bright sun, humid and blue skies with big puffy clouds. Light breeze and 89 degrees at present, although with the humidity it feels much hotter. Spent all of the early morning watering and everything is shriveling up anyway, including me. Opted out for inside and AC.

Pretty hot today! Dry, but hot. Now it's 85 with a decent breeze. Good deed, WC!

The bird is an indigo--blue buntings don't move up past southern Jersey--plus they're not as bright. WC--yours looks like a robin--smart to put him back. It was mid-80's today--spent the morning at a funeral, the pm in art class---I have finally finished the rose & clem--but don't really like it---will be painting a lot the next few days--in the 90's until Mon.!

Still 80 degrees here with 50% humidity. It was hot today but dry, and we spent a good portion at the FDR Library in Hyde Park (NY) researching DH's mom who worked for the postal service in the '30s and '40s and was invited to parties at the White House. Lots of interesting info.

Anyway, I digress. Supposed to be very warm tomorrow. I'm excited to be meeting another DG member and hope the humidity stays low so we have a pleasant day.

bbrook I think it is so cool that you went there as a kid! My parents took me a a kid and now I am so happy to be taking my kids! We went a couple of years ago and I think I had just as much fun as my little one! Of course I am a big kid at heart!

Nice day here topped out at 87 degrees. Nice night, had the top down when I picked my son up from VBS, I actually got goosebumps.

72° and fair at the moment, The long range forecast looks promising for a little rain but I know they tend to lie. If it's hit and miss thunder showers....I seem to be a miss. Now I don't like TS but we need the rain, my lawn is starting to turn brown! My hose only goes so far not to mention I am on well water and don't want to go dry so I have been limiting my watering.
