Liz so glad you enjoyed your visit and survived our humidity! Our weather was perfect yesterday except for the wind. But I did sit outside for a bit and enjoy it. You have a safe trip home!

Liz is the one who is near the fires and 4 paws on the other thread that you sometimes lurk on, I think.

We have one fire 2 hours from here that is the closest, we seem to get ours in the late summer and fall, the rains as little as they are here are endangering the burn out areas from last fall, due to mud slides.

It is so funny to leave back east at a certain time and to return a few clock ours our time later. Makes for a long day. One time I woke up after a week in Ohio and I had to go to the bathroom and sat up panicking because I was instinctual to retrace my most recent navigation's to the bathroom yet in the dark nothing was oriented right.

I smell something dead outside, yuck.

Something dead Dawn? yuk..was on the prayer thread for Twyla, here she thought something was dead in her house only to find out there was a man who had shot himself next door and decayed..can you imagine, she says it's the most fowl smell she's ever been around...

Thank goodness no fires right near you for the time being..what are you up to today? anything interesting? imagine I just came to work today and Wedn. I'm off for Dr's..think I'll drive in and leave at noon...

Hi to Everyone - I am looking forward to hearing that Liz got home okay. Gosh, that week flew by too quickly. What fun must have been had and what friendships strengthened.

Betty, John was in fact a stone mason for a while back in the late 1980's and early 1990's. He quit doing that because it was too hard on his back. He then became a car mechanic. He has been working at home for about three years now. He has a tow truck that he makes a partial living with and does mechanical work in his garage from time to time. He is going to apply for a school bus drivers job this week. The hours would work well so that he can have mid-day at home to do all the things that are required with the upkeep of our two acres. I told him if we had any more acreage, we would be in sad trouble. ha-ha

I have never lifted my gladiolus in the winter Betty. I not sure about your area or not. Hey, I don't do the ones that need to be dug up in the winter either. I still have a bag of twenty five more glads that I never got in the ground this spring and actually bought two more bags of pink ones at the Dollar Store last week. I can't get enough of them. They will be planted in the fall.

I took pictures of the glads while still in the ground this morning. I will try to come back and post some of them too.

HI, I got back about an hour ago. LOL, been busy getting things put away.

Anyways, Our girl is off again! Right on time too. I'll be tracking her flight and watching time for her text as soon as the plane lands.

Um, quite the experience to drive to the airport.
Heavy laughter (now) had to stop at gas station and call Steve to make sure I was to get on where I did.
OK...take a deep breath, whew there was construction so woohoo...flag girl had SLOW sign up, I said not a problem, another sigh of releive. To my great joy not too much traffic...Liz kept saying just normal traffic is ok. So went for three exits and wallah, Yikes with all the sign which did I end up on? turned off into international and now driving away from the airport!! So made a "safe illegall u turn" (haha just like Thelma would have told me to do!(betty's GPS) in the bus parking and headed right back in to airport, lol here we go again, ok so we are both reading aloud and followed on to terminal 3 nice and slow,haha, like the flag girl said. and I pulled up to sky cap and got out her TRULY Heavy suitcase. ROFLOL Came with one went home with 2 and a shopping bag from Harley Davidson. So gave her a big giant hug and got her in line...another giant hug and yikes hit the expressway by myself...watch very carefully the signs LOL, had to remember to breath, sigh of releif when i hit the exit and back home in about an hour!...Tadah, big smile I DID IT.

My family continues to live on the Rez, so i visit when I can. It's a lovely place to spend time. I have everything there as far as nature goes and most always at peace. Especially if i get the pleasure of seeing an Eagle.

Ruby, as for the glads, probably because of the cold temps they wouldn't survice, but they do look beautiful..might have to change my mind and put some in the friendship garden this spring...I went looking for some new growth and added some plants in the DG friendship garden yesterday..didn't get shopping, will try to do so this weekend..need some shrubs before they close their doors..pickings are slim...nothing too excited left...

Went to take a test today for a school job, I am a nervous and bad test taker, I feel bad and am pretty sure, I did not do well on it. I was one of the last ones done too. Sigh.

As you all know, Liz arrived on Monday. We haven't stopped blabbing at eachother since. LOL, Really since last my accident with PT cruiser... It is so funny, we got along just as fabulously in person as on the phone, text message and of course B,L & W! Meeting Liz was justa incredible. Haha, Love her laughter, jumpiness at every sound, so cute. Oh gosh, was so sorry I missed the Raccoon episode, but had fun listening to the story. Tuesday, we went shopping, Lol here there and everywhere. Also...Liz and i have been talking about giving me a hair dye. Whooo hoo I was excited to be rid of "the grey" only..I had some sort of reaction, yikes my head was on fire! So Liz promptly gave a good washing and rinse and a nice little Hair cut....hehehe, to MY liking. very simple, Thank you Liz. Hands on hips, cuz I heard there was plotting of a way out style for me....Hehe, well I do go off in different conversations, LOL digressed there. Anyway, We Liz and I are were just two pease in a pod! The entire week, LOL no 'strangers' about us what so ever, how incredibly cool is that!
Got to tell you too..Liz is an awsom cook. Made a dinner for us and a fantastic potatoe salad. LOL not only that but Geesh, took the kids chore away with dishes! Wow people really clean up immediately....Sigh, it was marvelious.

lol first i have too say lol betty your tooo funny!
but yesireee we were looking at circut city and dh said he had points built up so he needed to investigate if he could apply them to a gps unit.

oh my it was a normal traffic day and judy was doing good then hit a few obstacles and started to panic ,but she made it through the terminal oh and speaking of which..
now that i got the hang of it i knew i would get it all checked in curbside, had all my goodies in the carry on got to tsa check in and the gal says who's is this? omg its mine!
she said theres things in here you cant bring on plane so either dump them or check it in.
well im not dumping nothing! so i was escorted to main guy to be re- let in through employee entrance so i didnt have to go through the line again so had to pay 25.00 for the bag, then had to go through the machine and started to ding lol forgot it was my phone, ok can it get anymore stressful lol.
well now that im on the otherside look at this macdonalds whoo hoo stress food lol afterwards i was wondering if that was such a good idea being in a window seat lol??
but i was fine all went quick till boarding this older man i guess he kept brushing this younger guy with his breifcase... omg the younger one yells at him you hit me one more time im getting the police!!
ok now i start to sweat hope neither one is sitting next to me, the lady next to me said i dont want to know what that is about!! turns out to be a nice man who was rather tall and he was so cramped that he put me with my back to the window, so when all was safe and the cart came around you better believe i got a bottle of wine! well now that im sleepy think i"ll nap! no such luck left my word puzzle above wasnt going to ask them to move oh guess they both had the same idea to use the restroom yaaaaaa
well got my book and then thought gee maby i should use the restroom to lol

ok here we are all nested back omg where are my glasses panic attack got the whole plane in a uproar now retracing steps now the flight attendant is helping me. the lady behind me says you took that bag down???? omg there they were i thanked everyone appologised and b-lined in my seat hanging my head in a shame of embarrasement!!
we landed, i decided to stay in my seat having nothing to do but watch baggage being unloaded,omg the guy looked at me and started hoofing luggage throwing it like he wanted to kill someone im just sick at this point!!
dh on his way, and im getting my baggage got it all waiting for the small bag oh no pop dripping so we get home and two of the sasparilla bottles opened up what a mess!!!! some things were chipped but is fixable no one will know lol
oh dh up have to go visit will be back later.

judy tell steve to not complain lemmons will be on the way today lol

Ruby I usually have morning glories on the trellis'. But I pulled them out the other day as they weren't growing! Next year I think I will plant green beans by them. So without the morning glories there there will be less seeds sprouting. For a plant that doesn't winter over I end up with hundreds of starts. Just pulled a bunch again the other day. Here's a partial of that area. I thought I had a better one but can't find it!

How very pretty Vicki...I've never had luck with morning glories and yet Kathy's dad down the street has massive areas of them..don't know why? Love the pond, don't you just find it so relaxing sitting listening to the water...this weekend although I have a function to go to I plan on just sitting outside..

Judy, am sitting here as well trying to put in a day..went to bed early but must get some things done this evening as tomorrow the girls come painting and it's a long day, well not quite as long as my appt. is 1:30 and I'm only 1/2 hr. from home so should give me 3 or 4 hours to relax..will mention my leaving at 11:30-11:45am tomorrow and see if Paul says why come in, stay home..lol...my son is having a meeting with him and a few men tomorrow aft. so maybe he'll be generous and give me the day off..yet another...bet the children are glad to get their rooms back...was nice being in a teens room and seeing how creative they are..I had photo's of dreamguys, Bobby Darrin, Bobby Vinton, Fabian hmmm can't remember them all..know Brenda Lee and Connie Frances were some of them...didn't get caught up with Beetles though..

Judy, tried installing the photo disc so I could add pictures but as soon as I put it in the cd compartment of my computer it freezes the entire system..will take it home and try..did you or Liz try your cd's???

Suzanne and I were gabbing the other day, she'd like to go to the year round 'Frankenmuth Christmas' town so think we'll schedule it for late September..always nice to travel at that time of year..any of you ever been there...I used to go every year and came home with a trunk full..maybe that's where I could spend my saved $$$ from Chicago trip, what do you think?

Just got an MSN message from Sharon, lordy it's hard to be sympathetic at times, really is, she's yet in another quandry with her 40 yr. old son who lives with her..apparently he didn't want to stay inside her house this past winter and connected her RV and stayed in it, therefore he asked his ex-wife's aunt to look after his cat, well he's never picked it up, owes her $400.00 for her efforts and she want $$$ and to have the cat picked up, then he's been trying to convince Sharon he's rented a place and just waiting for it to be painted..heard this story for about 2 months..anyway Sharon was talking to Brian's ex and she said Brian asked her this past weekend if she knew of a place for rent...sooooo the story goes on and on..don't know what to tell her because she just said she couldn't see the lady out money and would pay her, no lesson learned there, asked her about just putting him out..'what would people think' so deadlock..no sympathy here...know it's not nice but you get tired after at least 20 years of same story...what would I do..not sure, but it's sapping the life right out of her..hard to watch...any suggestions..

Vicky I love that fountain. I never have luck w/ mg either, but at the RU someone gave me a bucket load of seeds so I soaked them after nicking them and put them in the lasagna bed after, and now I have 100 little sproutlings so we will see if they flower but this is good news at this point. They are mostly Grandpa Otts variety.

I feel crabby today. I have to go to the EDD office to talk to my case worker and do some other things, I am in a bad mood since the test and I ate bad Sunday and feel it today. grrr.

Dawn most of the time the MG's grow good for me. I think they like a vacation every other year! I grow Grandpa Otts also. Love purple flowers!

Vicki think the morning glory seeds I planted this year were Granpa Otts and think Gita sent them to me..
