Vicki, most probably..she housecleans so maybe I should hire her once a month to do same...I keep everything spotless and everything in it's place, how come I have this phobia about the refrigerator? Don't understand it..even the stove looks as though I just got it, must be some reason..how about you all, how are your refrigerators doing? I'll have to go check the craft room refrigerator and see if she found it..next time she looks after the house I'll remind her of the 2nd one..aren't I terrible...
Never had hollyhocks before, first blooms but some little creature has eaten most of the bottom leaves until they almost have the look of lace..yuk
Best/ worse/ ? did you learn today #51 visit with friends...
Carol, that's interesting, haven't seen those before..your nurseries have such interesting plants, this weekend is the big 'Elvis' convention in Collingwood, their nurseries are to die for, just might take a run on Sunday because Sat. I have a 74th birthday party to attend...
I did have a couple lily's open though, almost done so I'll enjoy the next ones..think I'll buy more..
Can you believe there is a pond behind those beauties..waiting for the reds/maroons to open, not sure where they are in the garden...
Hydrangeas I've never had before either, planted them last year but no flowers..starting to get a few this year..put them close to the house, not sure I should have..
Well that was a walk in my garden this morning, time to get productive, hair is now dry have to try and give it a few curls...
What are you all up to today?
Joel Olsteen ministries is on now so off I go, will go back and read and respond this aft. once I've settled in..
Carol, you girls look like 'hot babes' lol...so nice to have a leisurely visit with sister..just talked to mine a few minutes ago, her back is out and she's been in bed for 4 days!
Judy/Liz you behave...tell Steve I want him to put his feet up, relax, you guys cook supper and wait on him this afternoon, he needs special treatment for putting up with us all.....
morning all,
betty lol i told judy if she wanted to bet on you stopping at those stores lol!
glad you made it home safe, wow that lily is beautiful!!!!

i cooked fried potatoes steve reading the paper patiently waiting:)
jaye, now what are you and bj going to spend all that bail money on???
carol ,vicki, big hello to you carol i loved thew pic of you and sis
uh oh think breakfast is ready i,ll be back to yap somemore
So nice having a day to put my feet up and relax..relaxing and puttering but that's ok..even put a roast on..
DB Bernie and SIL Charlene and daughter Amanda dropped in for an hour..she's just like a man, fibreglassed her truck, painted it and did some gambling painting on it..she's calling it "the gambler" did a fantastic job...
Better customized the box lid and did hydrolics, she fibre-glassed it and did design work..
Funny, I go away 4 days and half the world visited...DB Mike and SIL Kim came by from the city to show me his new bike, cousin and her husband dropped in, 2 friends I hadn't seen in awhile..teaches me to go away right?
Well I'm off to the bank..imagine this...putting back over 1/2 the money I took with me to spend..so, could have done more damage at Cracker Barrel but will save it for 'next' time..lol
welcome home betty, glad your safe and well.

So nice Laura to see you post...sorry to hear you are still not moving well...surely you are not at work? Bones and muscles seem to take forever to heal...sounds as though you are keeping yourself occupied a little while recouping..how's that grandaughter doing...
Now we've had a lot of high temps and humidity, what would your weather be like at this time of year...soon we'll be topsy turvy and you'll be telling us of your sunshine..
Looking forward to seeing your quilt...Judy showed me a piece of the fabric she sent you..is lovely..am sure you will incorporate all the designs and it will be lovely...
You must not be sleeping well to be posting at our time of day? Are you sure you are o.k. worry about you and think about you often..
Just had to share my new baby. Haven't had one of these since I was real little myself. The nieghbor's found it in a tree. I named her Powder and she is the love of my life right now. I weaned her in two days and I am her Mommy. Scotty said oh! NO! when I brought her in but he is sitting watching tv and who is he holding? My little Powder. Here she is. HUGS TO ALL BEV
Glad you are back safe and sound Betty. You must be exhausted and hope you have some results this week too. Love those gardens you Canadians have.
OH a storm is coming in again, it rained and thundered and lightninged some last evening, Greg and I went in the soft spa while it rained and it felt so good, but off in the distance we laughed and joked about the fact that it was probably not too good to be out where we could even see lightning and under two big trees to boot, we said what someone will find us crispy and naked in the jacuzzi, then all of a sudden this lightning bolt was right close and just flashed and boomed, we flew out of the spa so fast, figured God did not think we were so funny but gave us one last chance to get it.
Not nearly as funny ad Liz and her shenanigans back east. I was rolling and those guys are probably still laughing. When you leaving?
Ruby wow I can't believe you have so many day lilies, my gosh. How gorgeous that must be. I can't wait to have you divide them up. lol hint hint.
I am getting excited in hopes of more rain tonight, it is so rare here in the summer. Sometimes the gulf of Mexico shares their humidity with Arizona and they share with us on occasion. Yippie.
I am so glad that you came home Betty, Sailor probably gets real stressed at her age, waiting, ball in mouth, watching the drive way for mama.
Alysha is big as a house now, she is thinking of changing the babies name now, but I think it will be Baily, which I like. She wants something different but she does not like the names that I like that are different, so I have no clue what she will come up with.
Planted some more seeds yesterday and kept them watered so I hope they germinate fast, it annoys me to be a slave to them only to lose them this week when I have to go into town 3 days in a row, in the afternoon.
Wow Bev how fun, I know I would go mad with excitement if I had a kitten, I love them but Greg is not such a fan and my dogs are not either. Grrrr.
Does she have a face only a mother could love? You decapitated her.
Just click on the pic..you'll see all of Powder.
Bev, congrats! Powder will be the queen of your house :D
Of course you should be missed by everyone Betty. You're the livewire of the neighbourhood, family and friends.
Now how do you manage to only spend half of what you brought..... I'd be spending all plus what I don't have!
Bev, love the kitty!!!! She is the lucky one to belong to you.
Yep, sure can.....Oh those beautiful eyes!
She's adorable Bev. She looks so tiny!
Hope everyone has had a good weekend. We got a little rain here but not enough. I still had to water today.
Heading for the shower and bed. Another work day tomorrow. Have a good night all
Hi, All!

Shar, how did the garage sale go...
Cat, waving..know about storms, you keep feel one hovering all aft. & eve. yesterday, watered the grass and flowers anyway, glad I did because it rumbled and moved on...
Gita, going to read your posts...
Judy and Liz, know there will be tears today..safe flight Liz, no fooling around with the airlines..could you fit all you bought into the suitcase???
Jaye, don't know how I ended up with more money...lol..put it back into the bank so I wouldn't spent it this week....as if that would make a difference..
Everyone else 'hi'...
Morning all,
Bev..what a "sweetie"..such a cute name too.."Powder"..
she will be a great companion in the garden.
Dawn..OMG!..good thing you two got out of that hot tub in time.
Hi Laura,..I showed Gillian a piece of the fabric that I sent to you for the friendship quilt when she was here..she liked it.
HI Gita,...I'm going to go to the "Greetings from latvia" thread and see if I can make a link here for all of us.
Hope this works for you..

Gita's thread...
Greetings Friends - How fun to read about the goings on in everyone's lives. Bev, you have the most to be excited about right now. Powder is soooo cute, and I am not even a cat person. I love her eyes!!!
Betty, it is so good to have you home and checking in here so often. I used to live nearby a Cracker Barrel. John and I considered it our favorite restaurant while we lived there. Their Country Store is fabulous. And you are right about the prices being good. It has now been several years since I stopped at one. I bet that I would have a good time in the stores.
This is Emily who begged to have my necklace put on her.
Ruby
Emily is adorable Ruby..before I blew up the high chair pic..I thought those were raspberrys on the tray....and it made me decide to go get some from the garden to put with vanilla yogurt for breakfast.
I have a small patch.
Lovely glads..I never had much luck with them in my garden but my neighbour had some gorgeous ones for a few years..and she would give me a bouquet..
Hi Carol - I am going outside shortly and cut another bouquet. I have been only cutting the ones that have gotten top heavy and fallen over. I didn't check on them yesterday, but I can see that a lot of them are in bloom this morning. I see lots of yellow and peach colored ones.
Will post a picture later after getting them in a vase.
Here is wishing everyone a very good week coming up.
Ruby
Only have a sec. for about 1/2 hr...Carol it's your birthday today is it not???? had it marked on my schedule..I'll go back and check but just incase 'Happy Birthday'
ooops..I'm early it's July 30th. lol...don't know how I got that mixed up..

they tried me back at work today for 4 hours and oh the pain... so back home i go... never mind.
I finished my top of my first quilt... i want to pad it and put the back on before i show you but i am so proud.... its not perfect but i love it!

well off to rest.. hello to all. the weather is cold and wintery and makes me ache. i feel so much older than i am... im on thrusday!!!! thats your wednesday... want the lotto numbers?? hahaha i feel at the moment tho.
isabelle rose is just doing fine and knows me already. still waiting on the pics so i can brag.....
hugs to you all and dont forget to post the pics of your gardens.. i do enjoy them and they brighten a sometimes dull day....
hugs
xx
Wrote such a lovely long post lol then Sharon msn'd her link to her new puppies, thought it would open up another link and puff, there it went...
Ruby, Miss Emily sure is growing, bet each time you visit with her you see many changes..children are brilliant these days...remember (well I don't quite remember) they used to keep children in cribs/playpens till almost 1 year old...what a fantastic walkway, now is this John's trade? Sure looks professional but a lot of work..won't you be pleased once it's done...
My grandmother had glads, can remember the rooms filled with them, I've never tried them but I think it's because you must take the bulbs out in the fall right? should try a few..
Carol, walked the garden this morning and it's got such a feel of September..do you think the beauty is almost at the end? Isn't it sad..maybe it was just the weather!
Laura, sorry you are still in so much pain, what does the doctor say? Looking forward to seeing photo's of Isabelle Rose, just have to love the name, makes on think 'old fashion'...now will you quilt your top or tie it? I enjoy tied quilts....yep, your birthday is just around the corner or rather in days...do you still have same telephone # that I could call????
Dawn, you are starting to sound like a proud 'grandma' bet you are excited..I like the name she has chosen, let's hope she doesn't change her mind...are you near the fires, if so, wouldn't the rain you just got help out? know Liz said she wasn't nearby..thank goodness...
Bev isn't that the way, they say they don't want the kitty and/or pup and before you know it, it's their best friend...
Got my Missy the same way, she's so overly affectionate, think she knows I saved her life...lol....now these animals rule the house...
Here's the link to sister Sharon's babies...so cute..would love one but I did say no more doggies right?
