Garden Photos - Part 19

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Thanks Celeste! I'm still on a high after meeting you. :-)

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Is a ditch lily the same as a roadside lily? I have some that creep under my fence from the roadside. They make me laugh just because of their tenacity and height. I have one blooming that is as tall as I am.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yup, that's them!

Isn't it a great orange color? If people didn't think of them as ditch lilies, they might be admired more!

That's a beautiful begonia Kass.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

both pretty Kassia

Does "Chianti" go well with fava beans?

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

If the beans are drowned in a good marinara sauce on home made pasta.

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

I know it's a weed, but it's in my neighbor's yard, and it looks pretty right now. Plus the monarchs like 'em!

A wonderful DGer gave me this. She called it a night bloomer, but I don't know it's true name. It is stunning!!

That is a beautiful rose Kassia. I will have to wait for my hollyhock until next year. I only planted it this year. I have to remember to do more see next year too.

My hydrangea is looking good this year. I'll have to take some pictures of my other ones too..

Love the "shoes"

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I remember them from last year, Andy. Do leave them outside all winter??

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Like that Wolf, Bill. Very nice, Robin. The lilies are great now. Here's one of mine. Much deeper and darker than appears here.

I have that same pest on my Hibiscus. Thanks for the ID. I keep going out and squishing all the caterpillars.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

LOL, the sneakers stay out all year. Some Chicks fall off and some Hens don't make it but they fill in in no time. The sneakers are falling apart, though.
Here they are in February '07.

Maybe you should check the hardiness before purchasing footwear!

For the question way up above - Monarch cats = caterpillers. I "raise" them, thanks to the hummer/butterfly forum!
