Jackmanii gone crazy
Garden Photos - Part 19
Nice blooms, Harper! Bill, I would make the 90 pound person weed. Wouldn't need any back-walking.
Nice clump, Andy. What was the critter that was eating your hardy hibiscus, Andy?? One of mine is getting eaten alive.
Victor, I'm trying to remember what was eating my hibiscus last year - it was the only thing I used sevin on. They are little green catapillars - you can barley see them, and they turn into a type of fly? I was thinking saw tooth fly, but don't see anything like that. I'll keep looking. The leaves ended up as skeletons.
That looks like them Andy.

OOPS, Saw fly. I always get the them mixed up.
Thanks, debilu.
Thanks to both of you! I assume BT would work on them?
ANDY!!!!!!!!!! I miss you!!!!!!! please give me your site again.... for some reason I can't find you on my favorites!!!! oh Andy, we miss you last saturday!!!!! how's the strawberries going???? mine were not good ... had some but nothing close to yours....
Thom, I love mini plants... there is just something about miniature things that appeal to me... even newborn babies ... such a tiny human being... little puppies... kittens... and now plants...I got dwarf hostas by accident also...
BTW the one you gave me last year is really pretty... I would not call it a mini but its probably a dwarf one...
Victor that first daylily is gorgeous....
I feel like the Phoenix rising from the ashes. Went to NC for a bit and came home to gardens on the wane. Glad I got a nudge from a fellow Dger to check in here. Everything is looking great for y'all. (something I picked up down south :)) So I wandered out today with the camera after pulling many, many weeds. Still don't think I hit the 50% ratio as far as the weeds are concerned. Here's one I grew from seed, which is extrodinary in itself. I'm not the best at seed growing. I think it is honeywort or commonly known as shrimp plant.
Thom--you are such a bargain hound! Get some cash & go to the casino! I also weeded today---spiderwort is taking over in 1 garden! I think this is the worst year I've had for flowers--just too much foliage--I have lemon lilies out & 2 other nothing special DL's. Hope I can post a few things that are blooming--mainly asiatic lilies. The hostas are looking OK--here is Northern Halo.
I like any post that contains 'recurved' and 'voluptuous'!
love the purple winky... do you have it planted by your pinky winky?
No, I don't Allison. Should have thought of that! Hee hee, Weeze.
HEY, I just noticed I forgot the "L" Is there an eraser for paint pens?? LOL
Where the 'L' is this hosta?!!
Whir-l-wind. I have whirwind written which sounds more like a carnival ride. Although they're fun too, if you don't fall off and die...I'm starting to feel like my old self again !! :)
wow I like that Chianti
Ditto on Onewish. Chianti is stunning Harper.
Double ditto.
Thanks Allison and Weeze! It's a hardy, healthy one too! None of my AL's came back nearly as good as this one. I'm impressed they came back at all after all the neglect I gave them. It's the true test of a good plant. Neglect.
Speaking of neglect, I think that's the best way to get my epiphylums to bloom. I don't know the name of this one. It's from my MIL.
Wow Harper, beautiful!!!!!!!
