Well I'm done with morning or rather it's done with me..had a lady ask me if I was selling my chair as she passed in the car and I was setting it out..nope, have enough to do..lol
Here it is put together and sitting pretty..
Now they are just white daisies but aren't they pretty..
Now I didn't get a clear photo, will do so later, anyone know what kind of daisies these are..so very 'frilly'
Was asked to paint a garden flower box by same lady..told her I would but can't cut it out or paint till fall..she was please with it..mine has same deisgn front and back and on sides have trowels, gloves etc. she said the design would be fine on one side only..so already a 'fall' to do..mark it next to 150 wine glasses I need next month..lol..
well, it's lunch better get on with it, have corn on the cob to cook and will do a roast..after all it's Sunday..lol
I've yet another chair to complete today, started in Monday when Dianne was here, really should have been done by now - not - so I'll take the arms upstairs and while I cook I'll do a design on them...hopefully I'll get to put it together tonight..

Where do you get the unfinished chairs, and how expensive are they? I can only find those that are already finished and are horribly expensive.

Shar, the one I just finished came from Canadian Tire and it folds which is really a good feature..that particular one came already white, once I put the back pieces together and filled the holes I sanding it down to take she shine away and then painted it white so my painting would adhere..
You can also get them in a nice stain type finish and I do same, sand down back and paint..
They are $69.99 and when on sale which these 2 were they are $59.99..and then last Sat. when I bought one of them you got $10.00 Canadian Tire money back when you spent over $40.00 so made for a cheap chair..good quality wood...yesterday I picked up the table, already white to match and it was $23.99 on sale..a bargain..the footstool I made..had a kit years ago and everytime I made chairs rather than buy I'd make, had one kit left in a box I hadn't used...so all's well..lol
Trying to decide here what to put on the arms of the chair I'm finishing this aft. while corn is cooking..lol
Promise, might even have coffee sitting/relaxing on the chair I just did tonight...that's my plan..
The arms I'm doing shouldn't take more than a few hours, I've done them so often it's become 2nd habit...
Break time, if I can put in another hour or so I'll be done the 2nd chair and all that is left is the finish coat, then all my mess can be cleaned up so that the girls have a clean room to work in tomorrow...
Poor Sailor, I'm outside and she comes out, I come in and she comes in, I come downstairs she comes downstairs...she's looking tired..lol

Do you collect them or sell them or give them as gifts? Love them anyway and that planter box too.

Hot out here again, but thank God the coolers work good and cheap and are keeping the house really cool.

Carol, think they are 'crazy daisy's' looks very much the same..didn't buy them, only seed pkgs. I purchased were Dollar store 4 for $1.00 - read your link and says they will reseed themselve...I'll also save some seeds for spring..
They must have just opened in the past day or so..really quite lovely..
Dawn, nope don't sell them, usually paint them for myself or for family..when they get tired, then I move on to something different..lol..
Well I'm fighting near exhaustion (almost) the arms are painted, slats are done in blue, just made a change to the back daisy's but not sure if I'll have to energy to put it together tonight..might be a tomorrow night project...

Greg/Mel and the boys just came in, going to Midland for Chinese Food and wanted me to go..yep, I'm dressed like a pauper, tired out..would fall asleep in my food I'm sure..decided that I'd tidy up put everything in a corner and put it together tomorrow night...
Bev..did you send me seeds? anyway I know it says they seed themselves but will for sure save seeds..I think they are just so cool...
If they let me send seeds to Canada I will gladly save you some. Those that you have look almost like the ones I got from my nieghbor one but they spread like crazy. Mine disappeared but she still has some.

Just popping in again. I see that Carol gave a great report on our day together. We had a wonderful time. I have more pictures but it will have to wait. We have Sonora's laptop with us but no wireless internet. So I'll wait till we're in a hotel or something and post them from her computer there. It was so nice to see how well Sonora and Dana got along. I think what I enjoyed the most about Carol's gardens are her little treasures scattered around in nooks and crannies. Time just flew by. We stayed until around 9 pm, and could have stayed longer if I didn't have a lot of driving to do that night and the next day.
Betty, I just got your d-mail. It's too bad that you weren't able to come too. I am glad, however, that you were able to get an appointment so that is good.
Well, I'm off to bed. We're going to Marineland tomorrow so I need my rest.
