I don't have any brug blooming yet, but here in this corner....I've a big pot of brugs. Yes, pleural...
Over the winter a non-reputable mail-order catalog advertised for a tripple blooming brug for sale. I know there isn't such thing unless if they were grafted. But thank to that false-advertise add. It gave me an idea, so in a big pot, I planted 3 brugs, a pink, a yellow, and white. I may have planted a fourth one in there...let me go and double check. lol. Of all those were planted there, 'Eternity' is making buds...wooohooooo.
Kimbob, that is a beautiful location. Hopefully we will see pics. of all colors at one time in the same pot.
dahtzu, the chances of all of them to bloom at the same time is remote. The pink one bloomed a few weeks past. Now another 'Eternity' pink is making buds. Will wait for the white and yellow ones. :-)

Kimbo the entire scene is breath taking. The bloom is beautiful. Hopefully someday I'll see a pretty bloom here.

Well I looked at all the links, but it is just too far for me to travel. 500 miles is a bit long. maybe there will be one in San ANtonio, or Austin soon. I will try to watch the threads and see what happens.

We will see what next year brings, but do think about it Sis's. I MAY be able to get some free SW flights . I just have to bake a lot of cookies, but I do have a connection. A stomach connection. I'll start working on that.
But we've got a year to plan and think. When Beck gets back, look at the pictures and do take the time to look at the wants/have lists. I think everybody needs to do an RU once in their lifetime. And that's just from hearing from Beck, I have not made one yet. Drat! They do sound like fun..

This gal in on cloud nine.. and walking on air!!!..LOL I got sooo many goodies, and not a 1 that I already had.... This RU was sooo hectic... there were a LOT of people, and it was almost impossible to be able to get around and talk to everybody....BUT ..
Ya'll won't have to wait until next year... Dave is maybe planning a fall RU at the same place.. and the Love's Lookout, had a beautiful view!! Also there is a big RU in Arlington in the fall. I am not sure if frostweed.. Josephine.. puts it on, or if she just goes, but it is supposed to be a good one... so start thinking a lil more early!! I am going to both.. and I can see us Hottie Sis's strutting our stuff!!..lol
I just finished unloading everything at 10:45..And I may be going to bed early.. since I don't really know what I am saying to ya'll...hehe I am soo tired, but it's the best tired I have had in a long time... and gotta tell ya'll.. Brugs to new hottie friends, then I got into a couple of swaps so pack pack pack.
DH knows I lots my marbles along time ago, he can't quite figure out the digging, cutting, mailing, and receive plants thru the mail.
Everyone of my brugs has a bloom of some type on it. I am so excited!
The wind has been brutal on the leaves and way too much water. I know AuntB I need to put holes in those pots, but then in the winter they leak all over and I hate paying for those plastic things they get expensive plus I am afraid the dogs or cats will drink out of them.
Off to eat left over fried chicken my sister made me for my birthday....then back out to play.

I hop in for just a little time, isn't life hectic. I would like to be counted in as one of the hotties but ... time really is taken up with family, work, gardening and church. This hottie is a little wilted.
I enjoy skimming the comments and wish you all well...and wish I knew you all better. What a fun group. Winter is the best time for me and the computer.
I bought 35 black 5 gallon nursery pots for my seedlings ($.50 each). I can't believe how big the brugs are getting. None have a Y yet, not sure if they will this year. I need 30 more pots to pot the rest of my seedlings up, they are really cramped in the 1 and 2 gallon pots. I have a few of my older plants - and cuttings from early winter - that have buds, hoping to have blooms soon. I haven't even taken the time to get my camera out. Soon, I hope.

Work was weird today. I was like what is going on? Women are having c-sections on Sunday and all the surgeons are doing surgeries like crazy, on a Sunday.Then, it hit me, they are trying to get everything done before the holiday
What do you have planned for the holiday?....we just usually have a big cookout and friends over, swim, catch up with each other and just have a good time. Pretty laid back, but we have had up to 50 people here. Thank goodness, I have a large yard. My house could not handle it.
Beck, I'm sure has got to get everything planted from the RU.. Another one in the fall in Arlington? Let me know the date as soon as possible and I will be there. Like, Kim said, we already know each other, it's just getting the actual meeting done. :))

Okay, my brugs are growing good, with new leaves, but I am not even close to blooms, unless one of them pulls a trick on me. I will get a picture soon of my family. I go and check about three times a day, and now DH is even looking for them. LOL, he first really thought I had lost my marbles when I started this, but after seeing the pictures, I think he is more impatient than I am..

Not kidding there, I use epsom salt equal teaspoon with household amonia on my my ailing plants in container garden. Joyce, Bonnie, can these brug benefit from such treatment. Aside, from mag. drips as Kim suggested for inducing labor. lol.
Congrats, Faye, in a few months you'll have brugs growing full spead ahead. Isn't DG a great place to garden with? I love it.

Kim, Stat? :)) magnesium sulfate, "epsom salts" is supposed to be good for these brug babies to promote leaf growth. from what I've read.... also good for human babies to prevent early labor, cerebral palsy and high blood pressure in pregnant moms (pre-eclampsia). I don't know if it will induce that bud. Are you expecting twins (or doubles)?? Would a flower promoter/fertilizer help? I am seriously thinking about putting some of that on my first brug... Along with the tree spikes, time-released fertilizer and everything else I'm feeding it. Any time I'm giving something to another plant, I just give it some, too. That's why mine is so short and bushy. :))
