I am sitting enjoying my sweet tea.. and my ciggies... that's right... ya'll heard me... I have a bad habit.. and not only with brugs... just wanted to let ya'll know. so I can be prepared if somebody comes after me with a baseball bat!! hehe..
Linda.. A RU is exaclty as Bonnie described it!! The best part is meeting the dgers you have been talking to. If Bonnie finds the link.. you will see we are a very talkative bunch.. just like here... Course have you ever meet a Texan that was quiet?? LOL Also it is nice to see the plants growing in your own gardens that a dear friend shared with you!!

Kim Hi! I saw you somewhere in another forum today.. Are these brugs some of your seedlings?? I need to repot mine and start pouring food to them.. I ended up with 3 of 8 seedlings I germinated . 3 is good, they are small now, but they are like puppies, cute when small but will they be manageable as an adult?? lol We have been getting wound up periodically on this thread, but you are welcome to our banter! We LOVE bloom pics! I think Audrey may be out of town, and Marion will be getting home soon from a trip... but I think we're filling in pretty good for them, but we sure miss them. Joyce that white MONSTER white brug, is a keeper, I remember last winter, now! (I've been calling it Giant-so like me, huh?) My kids laugh at me all the time.. I do it with actors, movies, character names... But I try real hard to keep people straight. lol Waiting for the heat to lift before I tackle (get started on) the deck and flower area...
None of mine are ready to bust loose yet. Gotta go out there and see what's up with them.

I use others peoples lost marbles (now they are going to know), glue em to bowling balls, throw some in the birdbath... but once here, none leave my property... Okay, jumping back and forth between forums has made this southern lady a might dizzy. I need a brug bloom to smell to keep from having vapors here...
Those doubles are beautiful and I have been really eyeing them. But triples? Could you give us some names of some triples that we can research... I must be nuts! I haven't had a single bloom yet and I'm thinking triples.. But if I can get these singles going, then I might consider one, or two....
I've got to tell you a funny. I was talking to my daughter by phone and telling her about the brugs and hostas, and she got real quiet. Finally, I'm like "honey, what's up." She said "mom if you spend all of your money on flowers you won't have any left by the end of the year." I just laughed and tried to reassure her that I was not spending my way to the poorhouse. Later, it hit me, "the end of the year?" That's her birthday and Christmas! I could not help but chuckle to myself. :))

Took Kenboy's advice. I have very poor "gumbo" soil. So, Kel made wooden 2 X 2 X 1 forms, so all brugs can be planted above ground. But first I broadcast gypsum on the ground before putting in the soil. (1/2 potting soil 1/2 compost)
At first I wanted to do like what Chrissy of Australia did, cut down some 55 gallon barrels. Kel got too much wood than money :D

Happ, can I change your plans for next year? You pick up Bonnie, pick up Cat , too, and as you drive through to Texas, you'd better stop off halfway at my house. We'll have refreshments or dinner or whatever. and then we can go on from here. Yeah, I'm jumping in on this. Also I can snag hubby's minivan, (minus his equipment plus his company gas card), so we'll have plenty of room for goodies. Anyone else want to join in, fly in, drive in, bus in, whatever. The van seats 8 comfortably.
They are talking about making this an annual event, since Dave and Trish moved down there. So, let's really give this some serious thinking next year. Mark your calendars! I could do a hottie brug roadtrip this time next year! Tee hee, Texas won't know what happened if we get there!! Peg

Hi hotties, i am just sitting here and my head has not stopped spinning, and to make it worse, we have two Kims, yippie! Li ly Kim, you made it to our group! Welcome! What a difference from yours, yours is sooooooooo relaxing, ours is oh well CRAZY! So I think Beck asked for a prize if they guess when Pink Beauty will open, so I have a baby rooted brug, no id, noone has been able to identify mama brug, so with that said, if you want to play the guessing game, let's play, a baby brug you will get!
