Which ones are those? Very pretty....

I love the colour of the first one and I love the purple on the white fence - very nice contrast!!!! The purple really pops!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Beautiful! I especially love how it twines through your white picket fence.

Lincoln Park, MI(Zone 5a)

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I am still young and have my memory intact (JK-love you Loretta!!)

Lincoln Park, MI(Zone 5a)

Did you guys check out the new ones Debbie has this year???oh my!!!^_^

Lincoln Park, MI(Zone 5a)

Well.Kathy did you tag them yet???your as bad as I am!!!

Lincoln Park, MI(Zone 5a)

Yoohooo Kathy!!!!names????

Delaware, OH

i was bad last fall and didn't tag as i planted, but buried the marker that comes with the plant. have everything re tagged now, but a few question marks as usual due to lost tag.
when i have a temporarily unidentified clem i put a blank marker right in front, and try and keep a marker in my pocket when gardening. so when the mystery is solved i can fill in the marker vs procrastinate.

WOW....Kitty thats a beauty...you leave those in pots???I just know you MUST have one of the most beautiful gardens from all the plants you order...

Baton Rouge, LA

Just wondering about that Tie Dye. Does it always get the brown edges on the bloom in heat? Is this common for many of the cultivars, or just something that Tie Dye exhibits? Thanks for any info! =)

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

This particular one is in a pot. I only have two in pots and they are this one and Bourbon both from Silver Star.

However, we are talking about a HUGE pot. It is probably 3' X 3'. Looks like a ceramic vase/urn. But is that new lightweight stuff. I hope it holds up good because I don't intend to move these if I don't have to.

All my other clematis are in the ground. Shock!! LOL

Kitty I just went and ordered that one from Debbie...glad you showed it!!!

Lincoln Park, MI(Zone 5a)

Opps we posted at the same time....I know you have lots of clematis saw them on the forum last year!!!how many you got????wish I could grow them in pots above the ground..you ever try that???

Driftwood, TX(Zone 8b)

I was hoping to keep Bourbon in a pot near the house - I'm glad to see that 9kittymom had some success with that.

Lincoln Park, MI(Zone 5a)

Is Bourbon as red as it looks in Debbies photos???

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

Yes, this one. It is above the ground. I wonder if I have a picture. Nope couldn't find it. I will take one tomorrow if we don't blow away tonight.

Here is a picture of the one by the patio. don't know the name.

Kittymom, what the plants you have in the bottom bed in that last photo? It looks like you have provided good shade for your clems.

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

My Bourbon hasn't bloomed yet. It has had a hard time this year. My DH broke it off when he was getting leaves out behind the pot. Claimed he didn't notice the 3 foot tall vine growing from the pot up the trellis. :((

Then it recovered and put a great vine and I top dressed it with compost and the squirrels came in and dug it up. It didn't break it though so now it has a screen covering the dirt around it.

I have probably 15 or 16 clematis lining the west wall of the other garage. Here are some pictures of those. I do have markers on them, they are just under the mulch. I 'intend' to get out there and use my new colored markers and do it right. LOL

Those are columbines. The two big ones in the front I planted last year and they have come back nicely. The three behind those are new from Lowes a couple of weeks ago.

Here is multi-blue

and since I have totally hijacked your thread, I will show you another picture of Westerplatte. It is very interesting. I didn't notice it until after I took it. but, look how the edges look purple and the middle looks magenta. Also that funky spot on the petal is where I petted it yesterday because it looks like velvet. apparently it doesn't like to be touched and now I feel bad.

I better go get some more marker orders turned in before this storm hits. Have a great night!
