Nona, you are right. My garden is a dream come true...

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Such a beautiful sight, Kassia. I'm sorry about the rain, though.

Cool Cool Cool !!!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

oh so nice to meet both of you!!!! The other relatives of those beatiful deer lives around here.... they clean up my roses every fall...

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Kassia, your roses are simply spectacular!! Don't cry! They'll still be beautiful for the RU!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Welcome John & Liza!

Kassia, dmail directions to me, please.

Rockport, ME(Zone 5b)

Kassia, I really thought I had your address somewhere, but could you Dmail that to me? I'm horrible with directions, so just your address will be fine. I'll get there electronically! I'm potting up plants. It may be just a pot luck for plants, since I really don't know what I'm bringing just yet. I'll just hope for some kind adopters!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

done!!!!

Atkinson, NH(Zone 5a)

Kassia:

We are trying to figure out what to bring for food, is there anything in particular that is needed ? We have a folding table if one is still needed also.

Dont forget to Dmail directions. We do know where Framingham is. We will be coming down 495 and then in on Rt. 9.

Thank You,
John

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Thank you all for the welcome. Sorry I did not reply but I popped a joint in by back (lifted one to many bags of potting soil). So now I'm flat out for a while and can't even sit at the pc. I'll be back on in a week or so, It's so nice to find that there are a lot of nice people out there who just can't have enough plants (like me). Thank you all again and I look forward to talking to you.

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

whoops, hit send before proofing. Should have typed "my back"

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

poor you Donna!!!! I have done that also... too much love for gardening can be painful!!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Get well Donna, and we'll be right here when you feel better!

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Thanks Kassa,
Well it got me a week out of work in this beautiful weather. To bad I can't even get to the front door, never mind outside it. We've had some showers here almost every night so I'm hoping everything will be okay outside in their pots and little trays until I can get up and running. This is not the first time I've done this to myself but unfortunately it's the worst yet. Under strict orders to stay in bed for a week (which I'm not very good at following). Your pictures look great, I'll be checking out the ones on the rose forum when I can.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hope you are all better very soon, Donna! I know the feeling and it is not fun!! Take it easy!
Louise

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Kassia, my PCA Linda will be with me, and she gardens too! She's even thinking of bringing something to trade!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Great!!!! we should have tons of plants... last year was a lot... so it will look like a nursery!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Only one more week to wait!!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I have 4 of those chairs that fold into a sack that I will bring. I'll figure something for food...any specific needs Kassia?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

It was so pretty here I worked outside all day. Among other things, I dug up 9 lily of the valley. Some hardy geranium are on the list for tomorrow morning before the humidity sets in.

Rockport, ME(Zone 5b)

I've got the Iris and Rudbeckia in pots, now on to hosta and Alyssum and English Daisy.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Dave, I am not sure... what would be easy for you??? how about salad? or a veggie plate? I don't remember seeing any of these on the list!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Kassia...you need to change mine. Not bringing chicken wings as we are not useing the stove or grill. I am bringing a meat & cheese platter.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I'll bring some veggie dip based on fresh dill, if David brings veggies. I could bring those too, but they'd all be from the supermarket, if that's not too humiliating!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I'm not sure I'll make it - trying to plan hotels for Friday and Saturday, and something for our puppy. Looking for something with trains for DH.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

eek!
Food has migrated from the food thread to here - all is chaos...
; )

Rockport, ME(Zone 5b)

*Ack*, where's that food thread again?? Although, not being a cook, you may regret my input....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yay, Kassia, add me to the list I'll be able to make it, hitching a ride up with Allison(onewish). I had to find someone to babysit overnight since I never know if Hubby will get called out for work.
Right now I know I have 6 tomato plants to bring. I have Zinnia seed(kept in our extra fridge) that I collected last year had room to plant only half of them this year.
Is it safe to divide day lilies now???

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Great!!!!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Well, everyone, things are getting better for me... I am less stressed out... it took a week to really de-compress and I am still feeling a bit odd... I left the hospital... love working as a nurse... love the people I was working with... oh I trully miss them... but the commute was really horrible and stressful for me. I was so stressed out by the time I got there that it was totally counterproductive... so after a lot of crying I decided to quit and rest for the month of July and look for another nursing job in August... went to my doctor and she did prescribe rest! darn it... not as young as I like to think I was... so at least I can relax, garden everyday after 2 pm for a month and kill enough japanese beetles to take the stress out on something... but I really like being a nurse... so I have a lot of thinking to do about my current job situation and all that is involved...

I really look foward to Saturday - regardless of what has transpired in the NE forum over the past few months... I look foward in seeing you guys... thanks for coming... for traveling far... no it's not MY RU, its a DG RU, but its a pleasure to meet again some of you... and a pleasure to get to meet new ones too...
