Ooooo! I love the little saucer pot. Do you have a nice pot to put the plant next to it in?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes Kassia, that is indeed 'Navajo Princess'!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

No, I dont' have a pot... you just gave me an idea!!!

Celeste - I love it... I think I took 30 pictures...lol... just to make sure...

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

The cup looks great Kassia. We liked it even when it was empty!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Having nothing else to do today(ha ha) I looked up all the plants and seeds I received from all you lovely people and added up what it would have cost me to purchase them........about $370. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

oh guys finally I am doing what I have always wanted to do... sit outside, among my roses in a late summer afternoon with my laptop (being eaten by mosquitos ... no not on the dream) and talking to you guys... life is good... if only I did this more often...

and this is what I am looking at... it's a good moment... there is peace and contentment in my soul!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

RIP!

Thomaston, CT

I really am sorry to have missed such a grand celebration of gardeners & gardening--thanks for the photos, Harper---now I have a better idea of whom I'm talking to---but I'd rather meet everyone in person. Fall RU?

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

That's cool, Kass. I have to start bringing my laptop to the patio. Can't at this time of day though - I get eaten alive.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ok here you guys go... the carrot salad recipe

Ingredients:

1 can of crushed pineapples
1 small bag of shredded coconut
2 carrots coarsely grated or scrapped
1/2 cup Raisins (more or less if you’d like)

Directions:
Rinse raisins. Soak raisins 10-15 minutes. Just enough to soften them up.

MIX crushed pineapples, shredded coconut, carrots and raisins into a bowl
Refrigerate for a few hours

Can make ahead of time. It always tastes better the next day

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yum!!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

really yum!!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I told Michele... I would make that and take it for lunch...nice for a hot summers day

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

It sounds awesome, Allison. It's going into my recipe book.
Yeppers! Just put it there, via OneNote.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Allison, thanks for the recipe!

Kassia - Hank and I LOVED that little nook garden where you have your table and chairs!! He took me right over to it to show me how nicely it is framed with the raised beds of pretty roses!

Robin - we missed having you at Kassia's RU too!!

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Louise---hopefully the next one for me!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hope so.......!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I can't believe we've managed to leave this thread alone for 7 days!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Appearently not.

Well I can add to the RU. I have my 1st fatality. 2nd one is starting.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I hope we are talking plants Sherrie.

Yeppers, the 1st one was an Anemone given to me by someone like ------
2nd a Columbine.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Too bad! I'll get you another next gathering.

Atkinson, NH(Zone 5a)

My Anemone already has a little bud...which I was surprised because I thought it was fall blooming...It is standing up nice and tall...hopefully it is the Anemone...can't wait to see it.
Liza

Sherrie...I find columbines croak a lot...they are very particular about when you plant them... I brought home an elephant ear hosta bulb, rhizone or whatever you call it, and it already has new growth...

LOVE EVERYTHING.. Thanks again everybody.

Yeah, my Anenome is on the extremely disabled list. DH planted it out and then we did not water it for a week. Bad call on our part. I haven't given up, though, David!!! It may yet pull through.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

So is my anemone (not doing well). I planted it in a pot the very first night, but all the foliage died. I'm hoping the roots are still strong and it's just trying to recover.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Maybe that's what mine is doing too.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

This was the first time I divided them. Maybe they are tricky. I hope they work out.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Please fear not, David. We are all learning as we go along ..... at least I hear some of us are learning, I'm just mucking along.

And********** Here's Ninny!

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

muck. muck. muck...

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

LOL!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Dave - my Bright Eyes phlox look wonderful! They are standing tall and you'd never know they weren't there for years!

I, too, love ALL of the plants you kind friends gave me at the RU! I think I'm just about "full up" in my gardens.....there's not room for much more!!! (Yeah, right.....!) LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Gee thats to bad Louise...I need to thin some more of mine out. LOL

Finally got my hair cut...I feel normal again. It was long and the high light was waaaayyyyy to much! Cut almost all of it out and I feel and look more like me.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Jeez, Celeste.......looked pretty darn good to me at the RU!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Your sweet.....i'm a brunette!! LOL
