Those are some great photos of the hail, Sherrie and Victor. Funny, but I live just about 25 miles or so from Sherrie, and all we got were a few raindrops. Oh well. I wasn't looking forward to seeing all my 'babies' damaged by hailstones!!

Today is going to be gorgeous!!!

63 and sunny. Supposed to be fantastic. My little guy graduates K today!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Victor, you must be a proud pop. Is he thinking of getting an advanced degree or starting up a Landscaping business with one convenient customer at his tender young age?

It is 67 now. Out to plant more seedlings. Almost done. Patti

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I added the pic.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Victor congrats to your son for graduating K.

80 degrees and breezy s/b hitting 85 today partly cloudy
5:31 sunrise
8:32 sunset

Anything is better than yesterday. The veggie garden took a harder hit than I have told you. I did not see it all yesterday, today I did. It all got a wack/hack job of some sort. Today the spinich looks like swiss chesse.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous day! Thanks - the graduation was a lot of fun. We just returned from lunch. Warm but a nice breeze blowing. Some of the kids held up the 'diploma' as if it was a college one! So funny.

It is better than seeing them shy away.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Congrats to the graduate! Must have been cute, I love little kids. My son turned 22 on Father's Day. Not so little anymore.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thank you, Deb. They were very cute, They sang 11 songs! The one thanking their moms and dads resulted in lots of tears.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I bet.

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

How sweet, Victor. It all goes by so fast! Hope somebody got a video.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That would be me! Got the entire thing on video. Thanks. 76 and very nice now.

Thomaston, CT

Love the little ones---you must of been so proud of your son, Victor! The only thing I miss in teaching is working with kids--the nice & needy both. Sherie--your pics were scary--I had no damage, but our hail was tiny. We had only a few showers yest--lots of thunder, though--nothing today, but storms for the next 5 days! What a June!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Absolutely crazy weather month so far. Many quick changes, lots of t-storms, hail, heavy winds, etc. Just wish I received more rain.

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

We laugh at the pre-K and Kindergarten graduations. The kids were so cute and we were so young! My older one is 24 and his brother will be 21 in about 3 weeks. I'm looking forward to the college graduation! There is a strong possibility it will happen in December. I'd love to have hubby put together a compendium of all the graduations in his life! That will be a big tear-jerker for me! Just you wait, Victor! The time flies by, trust me. The cute little guys are now big men! - Lynn

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I know, Lynn. Can't believe my older one will be ten in December! Really does fly. We'll be empty-nesters before we know it. Nan - I was very proud. He made so much progress this year. He had some delay issues last year and was in an integrated class in a great school. It really prepared him for K and he has just taken off. Great report card.

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

Don't count on that empty nest! I STILL have my older one living here! With luck, he'll be moving out in August. Then I have to get my brother out of here...... I have never had any time solo! I'd like to try it for a while, though!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Temp 69.6°, Rh 61%. ☺

Humidity is rising, so are the chances of scattered thunderstorms.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Congrats on the little one graduating Victor. Sounds like you had a wonderful day and so glad that you are able to take part in the important events in your childrens lives. Too many parents are too busy to show up - actually one parent not showing up is tooooo many!!! Every day is an important milestone in their lives - they learn and grow so fast. I marvel at how Colin is growing - he climbs up the ladder on his playset without any trouble (he uses a spotter though). I ordered a couple more climbing rocks for the rock wall on the other side cause he can't reach them all with his short legs. He'll be climbing up that soon - already knows how to do it just can't reach. Oh, this is the weather thread - yesterday beautiful and the day before the hail shredded a lot of my blooms. Eleanor

Eleanor, you are so right. When I "graduated" from sixth grade, my parents both worked and didn't take the day off. My older sister went. I won an award (good citizenship) and they asked my parents to stand up, so no-one did. My sister said she wasn't my parent so didn't stand up. I felt awful!

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

I know how you feel Deb. I was a music teacher in my other life and the day of the concert was just horrible for some of the kids because no one was there to see them. The parents that cared wanted me to have night concerts but that presented problems for the kids whose parents wouldn't bring them back and there were a lot in my district. The district i taught in had a wide range of backgrounds from very poor (parents in jail, drunk, on drugs, etc.) to middle class to the very rich. So i kept my first and second grade concerts during the school day and that way I would at least have the kids there and told the parents to save up their sick and vacation days for them. Right now Jenn takes off more time from work than Colin's parents do - goes over real great with her boss but he knows what is going on in poor Colin's life and wants the best for him. Eleanor

Congrats, Victor, on your little guy's graduation. They grow up oh so fast! My DS will be 38 (!!) next month. How did that happen when I'm still growing up myself???

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

So true. What's the John Lennon line - something like life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Why are the posts on this thread much wider than the others?

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

They're not on my computer Amy. Thanks to you, now I can write the degree mark. It's currently 68° outside, 78° inside. What's up with that?

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I am having trouble with these wide posts too.
Humid today highs in the 80* Just what we wanted in April and May.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Hi guys and good morning, I am not having the trouble with the wide thread, but did on the brug forum, we just started a new one and it disappear. it is very annoying when that happens, who knows why. It will be muggy and humid today here, ac is on! Have a nice day everyone, Clemen
