I never tire of pretty pictures and I cannot believe that Brenda has a hoya blooming in the house that pretty!
When I get my seed for the larger gloxinia kind sinningia I am going to hang two sets of two bulbs on 3 shelves so they will bloom.
My sinningias are looking better now that someone told me they like a lot of light.
Brenda, Jan sent me a Sinningia 1503, too and here is one of the blooms. She has finished blooming now.
June Blooms 2
Very pretty picture... I will now keep that in mind about the lights being closer as I believe I have one or two of those also. I had one blooming and did not know it..LOL I will post a few pictures in a little while I am eating now... I always post my streps but I do have a few other types I am trying to grow... Also Ki sent me a few and I mananged to not kill a couple and root them.. Wow that is a major feat for me...LOL
Hugs,
Susan
Brenda your sinns are so gorgeous...I will try putting them closer to the lights along with the correct ratio fertilizer to see if I can increase my blooms.I would just die to have blooms like that!My little Leucotricha you sent is so cute..can't wait til it gets as big as yours...Gail that 1503 sure has a pretty bloom!..I have a sinn Diego Pink Jannich sent in our trade and it has 2 nice sized buds..I am really excited to see it bloom soon..some of the sinningias have such pretty leaves too I think!....I have my 1st bloom on Strep Ruby from Susan..Love the color of that bloom : )
Nancy,
She looks really good. I am glad I took the chance to cut her in half and it lived... YES.... She has grown since then. She looks really good.
Hugs,
Susan
Ok going to post a few and I am truly sorry for not know what they are and I want to know how do you all post so many and just tell the names.. By the time I get to the room with computer I can't remember it or if I write it down I dont remember which plant it was...LOL I have to get better with this .... Pleaes excuse the dirt one fell and I had to replant..
Hugs,
Susan
next one... Could you tell me also if these look good as I don't really know for sure if they do... My bigger episcias look good to me but as the leaves age they curl, not bad but after reading about this bug stuff I got out the glass and looked on every one of these pictures and found nothing so that made me feel better. I also think the bigger one may be getting to much light...
Thanks for any help.
Susan
Thats it for now and I am sure a few are happy... Is there a place on Daves that I can put pictures with names? for my records?
Hugs,
Susan

Dimmer (AKA) Kim
Ladies, I just love all of your beautiful blooms! It really brightens my day to be able to log on to DG and see these lovely photo's.
Wow Susan ... You really must have a thousand gessie's from the looks of it! Great job ... they all look wonderful to me. I love the one named Iris August - that's a Sinningia, right? Your Strep's and Episcia's look gorgeous too!
:( My Sinn. leucotricha that Brenda sent me is gone ... at least I can't find it in the terrarium. I thought it maybe had gone dormant but it should have showed itself by now!
Sally: Berry Splash is a pretty one too. I wonder if as the plant gets older there will be more variegation in the foliage? I was thinking someone told me that happens as a plant ages. Those pink blooms are just so pretty against that foliage. I still have a soft spot for that one you call Sunlit Sugarplum though ... I could look at that picture every day ... it is a beautiful plant.
My Episcia 'Aloha Mauna Loa' that I got from Brenda has a bud!! I am so excited. I have a few Episcia's and the only ones that have ever bloomed for me are Pink Panther and Blue Heaven. I can't wait to see this one! I have one bloom opening on Chirita 'Aiko' ... I know I would get more blooms if I fed them regularly. I can't remember the last time I fertilized! %#&@!% - bad plant mama!
Here's a picture of my full Terrarium. I need to find my list of what all is planted in here! I think it might be time to thin it out a little too ... getting mighty crowded in there.
Has anyone heard from Kimskreations/Kim? I think I remember her surgery was scheduled for tomorrow but not certain if that is the correct date.
Kim, if you are lurking out there ... we miss you and wish you well.
Lin, I love love your terrarium. Might have to copy you! Kimskreation's surgery is tomorrow. I emailed her on Friday and heard from her early yesterday morning but haven't heard back again. Kim, if you are lurking around, we love you and will be thinking about you tomorrow.
Jim King had some strep leaves on ebay several months ago which Kim pointed out to me. I got so excited but Kim had to buy them for me since I can't go to ebay. Then I turned around and sent pay pal to Kim in Maine!
Some started blooming several weeks ago, but I saw all kinds of new blooms on baby baby plants today.
I am finally starting to mark the name on each picture or I would still be doing what you are Susan.......I can't remember unless I write the name down . I need to look these up on the Streptocarpus page before I give the names. This is Al's Pal.
Lin, you keep posting your wonderful pics and I will go to the strep page and be sure I have the right names with the right pictures.
It is too much trouble right now.......I will go with the names on the pots. I know that one is wrong and that is Space Dust. She is no Space Dust. Kim, what happened.......I am still hoping an unmarked plant blooms like Space Dust and not the one I have marked.

Stunning photo's Gail. Texas Two Step is so pretty with that double bloom. And, Wow, Crimson Blaze is a huge full plant! I Love that one called Hotogishi! Will that bloom change as the plant matures? I would want it to stay just like that ... so pretty.
The colors in some of these photo's are so nice ... they look like paintings!
I would love to get rid of all of the lawn and have a natural planted garden with all native plants. Lawns waste so much water and then you have the pollution of fertilizer and chemicals. We try not to use chemicals but my husband does fertilize twice a year. A lot of folks just want to have a lot of green lawn ... my husband being one of them! I have tried for years to talk him into doing away with the sod and planting all native plants - he just refuses to do it. I even took him to a garden show with me once and have showed him many magazine and newspaper articles with photo's of "natural" gardens, which some are quite lovely. He just can't live without a green lawn.
