Nice shots, Bill. Josephine looks great. The tree peony too. Yes, Celeste beat me to it - hummer moth. They're pretty cool.

Just jumping in here.
The last 12 hostas came from Bluestone and when you open an order from them twice a week for three weeks straight, the peanuts get to be a bit MUCH.
Might have to reconsider that website. The sale was great but many of the giant varieties had leaves broken off, smaller plants have not had a problem with. Why cant all nurseries pack like Roseydawn.
ALSO Forest Farm sent the Butterfly bush and the packing job was fabulous, bush is big at least five feet tall and the trunk is at least two and onehalf inches around.
I am very pleased.

Kershaw, SC(Zone 8b)

Here is a no id Peony. I think it's one of the Cheddars, but thought it was 'Bowl of Cream.' No idea, but it's pretty!

ge-Forest Farm is great to order from, and their stuff is great! The shipping is not cheap at all, but ya get what ya paid for. Either the fall, if they allow fall shipping, or next spring, I'm going to place an order with Fairweather. They seem, from what Victor showed in pics, to send as good as plants as Forest Farm did, and their shipping is cheaper.

Here is my tree wisteria about to bloom...some have started, within the next week or two I will repost when it has all bloomed out! Last year I had a few blooms on it, this year I have over 20!

They do have a fall shipping season, Thom.

Kershaw, SC(Zone 8b)

I've got a list waiting for them!

lol.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Oh no, Victor, you have me dragging out the FF book they sent me to see if there is anything that I could possible want for the fall. Ha. Does Fairweather ship in the fall too? Big trouble.

Here is a early favorite each year. It has not become invasive and has bloomed for the last 20 plus years. I think I will get some white ones. Campanula glomerata 'Superba' Patti

Great blue, Patti. I seem to have no luck whatsoever with campanulas. FW has a separate, smaller catalog for fall. Goes out the end of August.

Wow - what a pleasure it's been to catch up on this thread this evening! Gorgeous pictures and envy galore!

I just can't get enough of my only lupine ever, started from seed three years ago, and this is its first bloom. I have bought another and started more seeds - I'm crushed that I mived one I started from seed and killed it!

I think this is a kind of spirea - my mom calls it Bridal Wreath. White blooms rarely do much for me, but this is a show stopper.

These two blooms are on the same noid columbine volunteer.

Columbine 'Magpie' in its third year from seed:

Looks like 'magpie' will have a good year, slightly better than it's smaller 'magpie' neighbor, started at the same time:

This is what happens when you transplant a TALL bearded iris in the spring... you lose the 'tall' part. LOL it looks almost like Dutch iris...

I have three different "black" varieties, but only one of them has bloomed in the three years since I planted them. This year, they're all going to bloom, but surprise! One that is shorter and hidden appears to be a very pale purple... I can't remember any of the names but I think one is 'black magic' because I remember thikning witchcraft had to do with the name.

For once, I actually SEE the culprit of the gnaw spots on the leaves. It found itself in a new home shortly afterward.
