Haves - Wants Pt II - May Swap

Bedford, VA(Zone 7a)

Well, if Chantell could send two teeny pieces of her cows tongue cactus and cholla, I would be thrilled. I'll share them with Susan!
Terri

Chevy Chase, MD(Zone 7a)

I have lemon balm, and potted up a bunch of small pots of it. I had been throwing it away, forgetting anyone would want it, so I don't have a big clump to share. But trust me, it grows fast!

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Terri - I'll dmail you regarding cacti

Crozet, VA

I really hate to admit it but I have never learned to cut and paste. Thankfully, my list is very small. I do have two new things to add that I saw yesterday on a walk about. I have Pineapple Sage and Thyme to share if anyone is interested.

My list now is OFFERING:
Mixed Coleus
Autumn Joy Sedum
Rose Campion
Purple Columbine
Artemisia
Castor Bean
Pineapple Sage
Thyme

These have been requested so far:

Happy and Larienda want Rose Campion
Chantell, Wldflwr, Happy and Hart want Columbine
Happy and Hart want Artemisia
Larienda and Wldflwr want Castor Bean Seedlings

Did I miss anyone? Please let me know.

I have now forgotten what all I asked for. Let me go back and look and will post again.

Ruby

Crozet, VA

Okay, just found my WANTS:

Sweet Woodruff from either Happy or Dragonfly
From Gita - either color of the Datura if you have any left, Shasta Daisies and any Tomato
From Happy - Carex Graii, Wood Poppy, Sweet Woodruff and Ficus Benjimani
From Hart - Purple Clustered Bell Flower

So, this brings us to those I haven't heard from yet:

Dragon, can you get a Bleeding Heart to the swap?
Critter - I will take a Tomato Plant if possible. Roma preferably, but any other will do.
Becky, I saw that you were offering a Blue and White Columbine and I would love to have one.

Dragon, I am sorry that you won't be attending. I was really looking forward to meeting you. Another time possibly.

Ruby

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Critter, I got your rose plants. I dug around under the honeysuckle and there they were. I potted three little plants in a pot. They're small but they will grow like wildfire.

I found the prettiest little blue flowers out there and dug some and potted them. I thought they looked like some kind of miniature veronica and I think that's what they are - common speedwell. Very dainty and pretty and I thought some of you might want some for woodland or rock gardens. I think I potted three pots.

http://www.ontariowildflower.com/deciduous.htm scroll down - pictures are huge, the flowers are tiny.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Ruby, I mostly don't grow Roma types because for me they seem to get more BER... but I do have a 'Speckled Roma' and also I think an extra 'Orange Banana' tomato plant that I'll put aside for you. I'd love a pineapple sage start... I had a big plant last year, overwintered it in a pot in my basement, and it has yet to show any sign of life this spring. :-(

Hart, thank you for finding that rose for me! I'm going to find a temporary spot for it this year, and then I plan to put it back in our fence row where it can climb the big wild cherry tree (hopefully, I'll have succeeded in killing off the poison ivy in that corner this summer, once & for all!).

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Jody, don't mean to be a complete pig but if you have plenty, could I also get some of your parrot's feather and water celery?

Critter, take a look at that wild speedwell I found and see if you wouldn't like some. It kind of prostrates along the ground and would make a pretty groundcover. The flowers are teensy but in a group are really pretty.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

chantell larlienda happy I am amending my haves -wants as you offered.
chantell- I'm more looking for outside things-
happy- I sort of started a lamium bed under this redbud so any lamium sounds good. I may already have the common one, its blue bloom, reddish leaves part of the year.

Sequim, WA(Zone 8a)

Larlienda - I have some Silver Lace that I attempted to root - however, I think it'll be better if you take semi-woody cuttings when you are here! I have TONS of BES and Shasta/Alaskan Daisies to dig from! Sedums are coming along very nicely and a breeze to grab cuttings from...If anyone wants some daylilies I'll be happy to get rid of them - I have decided I really don't like lilies :)

Polygonum aubertii (silver lace vine)
Siberian iris - purple and white
Alaskan Daisy
Black Eye Susans (of course LOL)
I can start some MG's if anyone wants me to
Columbines - blue/white/purple - HOWEVER - again, they have the blasted leafminers
A white hydrangea (I believe it is a peegee)
A pink Hydrangea (NO idea what)
Rose of Sharon
Geraniums - Rozanne (and another one - of course I have no idea what)
Sedums - at least 6 different types
Hosta ("generic" type)
Day Lillies (no idea)
Oriental Lily - white - Casa Blanca

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Wow Jody....what a list!!! Would it be ok if I added just a "couple" more if you have enough to spare?
purple millet 'majesty' seedlings, yarrow mix, Convallaria majalis, Arum italicum pictum, & Arum italicum again only IF you have enough still remaining. And please let me know if I have something you'd be interested in. EE's maybe?

Happy - again, ONLY IF you have enough - might I get some of that Lamium Purple Dragon too?

Gita - go ahead and let Ruby have her pick please of the Daturas

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Sally, ajuga is the one with blue blooms. Lamium comes in different color blooms, including pink, white, yellow.

Bec, if nobody wants that hydrangea, I'd be happy to take it.

Sequim, WA(Zone 8a)

LOL - ok, we'll have some big dudes here to do the digging :-)

Strasburg, VA(Zone 6b)

gasp!!!!
don't like lilies?
wow......i'm addicted :-)

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Gotcha Chantell
Have plenty of everything listed and will be bringing some that aren't listed too ;)

The only plant(s) that are giving me grief are the arums, both of them. Dug and potted some small bulbs a few weeks ago and they prompltly went dormant. :( And to top it off... before I labeled which was which. So anyone requesting them will get a pot full of potting medium, and may get either or both that are listed, LOL. The small bulbs are in there though, I had to do a finger check to make sure.

Sequim, WA(Zone 8a)

It is not that I "don't like them" - they are very pretty and I like them everywhere else but in my garden :-)

Strasburg, VA(Zone 6b)

ahhhhh, i understand :-)

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

AJUGA- of course--Boy am I slipping, don't know my ajuga from my lamium. I never actually had any lamium, just lamiastrum. Well, I will still gracefully accept lamium, even if I was thinking ajuga. Aren't I nice.
hart- I will allow you to press upon me--
Choclate mint
Clara curtis
Golden creeping jenny
Feeling queenly here- don't know why, just do!

Bec has nobody snapped up the Casa Blanca?? then ME
More haves---
I made a pot of my yarrow Paprika to help the cause- no big complaints but it just hasn't rocked my world.
would anybody (besides me) feel like bothering with my baby amaryllis, to see if they overwinter for you? or grow the up to bloom size. they are christmas-y red, or apple blossom, unlabeled.
Heritage Raspberry will be pulling and chucking...
any need baby American Holly? they sprout up all over but don't always transplant well.

Chevy Chase, MD(Zone 7a)

Sally: I've got lamium for you.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Ahhh Jody YOU rock....matter a fact....I think we ALL rock....why? Cuz we "ARE THAT good!!" (name what show and actor that's from - not Becky she hears me sayin' it all the time.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Hart, you know I'd gladly try any type of Veronica! You're already bringing so much for me, that I hated to be greedy and ask for still more... but since you're offering... :-)

I can always find places for clumps of daylilies (especially colors other than gold/orange/red/peach, LOL) and shasta daisies... I've started a staggered double row of such along the back side of our mini home orchard, and I'm hoping to fill in behind this year with some additional plants for a more mixed, meandering look. By the same token, I've already got some daylilies and daisies, so everybody else should take first dibs!

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Sally, I'd love some raspberry plants. You don't like them?

Critter and everybody else, please ask for anything you want on my list. I don't think there's such a thing as asking for too many plants (as you can see by my greediness, ahem.)

I'd like to finish getting everything potted tomorrow since I'll be in Manassas all day Thursday.

Brunswick, MD(Zone 6b)

Chantell, seriously, you don't think I know the show? Seriously?

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Ha...LOL "Seriously"

Brunswick, MD(Zone 6b)

Edited my Haves and Wants to include Basil Dark Opal - 3 and Basil Siam Queen - 2 (not to muscle in on critter's territory, but I have so much)

Larlienda, if Wyldeflower has as many Stinking Hellebores as I do we'll have enough for everyone coming to the swap, and probably all of Becky's neighbors too! I've potted up 6 pots with 3 or more plants in each and anyone is welcome to them. Anyone who takes them can keep them, give them to family friends, strangers or even trade them for something else. I just can't bear to pull them all out and throw them away :(

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Ooooo what pretty color - Basil Dark Opal !! Miata - please?

Brunswick, MD(Zone 6b)

You got it Chantell.

Sequim, WA(Zone 8a)

Since I have the seeds, but haven't started any - could I please have some basil/chives/parsley (and other herbs in abundance) - please and thank you!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Here's my list:

HAVES:

Lychnis (either white or fuschia colored-not sure)
Hosta, "Rusty Bee" (not winter sown)
Heirloom Tomatoes: (winter sown and ready to put in your garden-still small but they'll grow fast!)
"Aunt Gerdie's Gold" - several
"German Red Strawberry" (1) - Hart
"Marianna's Peace" (1) - Hart
Balsam, "Blackberry Trifle"
Sedum, "Matrona"
Spiderwort - Hot Pink (lots) - Joyce
Climbing Hydrangea (white & rooted)

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

hey hart-
I've had these raspberries for years. they send some runners so at this point I need to thin a lot. I'll be HAPPY to pot up some for ya! Heritage fall bearing red , altho you can get a few in summer on previous canes. my mom loves them. I gave them a great dose of llama manure and wood chips so I expect a good year.

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Shirley, could Joyce have one of those hot pink spiderworts? She's crazy about anything that's hot pink.

I know she's bringing some of her tree rose of sharon. These really do make nice little trees maybe 10-15 feet tall, not shrubs, with no pruning or training. Good townhouse size trees, Chantell and Bec.

I can't remember the name of the variegated groundcover she brought last year for someone - Critter or Happy maybe? But let me know if you need her to bring some more.

Shenandoah Valley, VA

You have llamas? Just kidding. I know you import the manure direct from Peru. heh heh I would love some raspberries. Will rabbit manure do in place of llama manure. Okay, okay, I'll stop with the llama manure jokes. That just tickled my funnybone.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Hey now...you know bunny poo is great for plants....

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Want some? Come on over.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

LOL

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

hart: I'll put Joyce down for some hot pink Spiderworts.

Shenandoah Valley, VA

That's great, Shirley. If anyone else has anything that's hot pink or dark pink, it would be a nice surprise for her. She wasn't bringing the rose of sharon trees expecting to get anything to bring home, just because she thought you all would like them.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Pink eh? Hmmmm....sure I can come up with something...any particular likes or dislikes?
