Harper's Birthday - Part 6!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I agree Laurel. Ideally I'd like to have names that sound different. Maybe, if DS and DH still like "Mojojojo", we'll name just the boy that.

As if cats would listen to anything their PA says other than "food". :)

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

OK, good point. about cats listening. What is a PA? BTW, I'm skipping over a giant wet spot on the bedroom carpet here at Maypop. DH informs me it's a cat "ball" that he cleaned up.

I am swearing off cats in my next life. The end.

i swear at my cats in this life..!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Dare I ask what a cat "ball" is?

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Cat hair ball that DH cleaned up=giant wet spot. You should not have asked Harper.

I have an entire animal farm of rescued, aging, infirm, young, old and nearly cute cats and dogs. DH says "No way, no more" and then I end up with another animal ditched up here at Maypop. If it's another critter that's been dumped here I'm not moving on the subject. I adopt out as many as I can, but DH is still here :>).

PA = purrsonal assistant. They don't have "owners", you know. I think a "cat ball" is a coughed up hairball. Harper, your guyz are short-haired and if they get enough grooming and "fat" in their diets, it shouldn't be a problem. But it is yucky to step on a fresh one in your bare feet first thing in the morning.

Dh thought he kicked a toy but it was a big grass puke. Dog did not stop there she ate a hole in the RUG and puked another grass ball and rug!!!!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Oh yeah, those things. I've done the stepping in fresh cat barf first thing in the morning too. It's been eight years since I've had a cat. My last cat, Montana, used to sleep on my head. Once I woke up with cat barf in my hair. Eeeeeew!

Sherrie, she ate the rug?! Eeeew!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

I am still waiting to get a British Blue kitty. . . . sigh . . .

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Harper the way it usually works is the cat tosses the ball on the rug. Then the dog eats the ball and the rug. We have a big hairy tortoiseshell Maine coon mix and a black Persian mix with a white milk mustache (also hairy). They get combed all the time but Romeow loves to groom Purrl so he's the hairball champ.

Cute names, Laurel, you've probably mentioned them before but I just thought I'd mention it now!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yeah, they are cute names.

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Have a great RU and while you're busy getting plants that you might share with me some day, I'll try to do cat pics and post. Be good at the RU and don't run around dancing naked in Kassia's sprinklers. OK? I do give you all permission to gain five pounds eating all that great food.

Yummy yummy time!

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Hey, Harper - glad to meet you on your RU-birthday!

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Me too, me too! Say "Hi" to Sam from me and Bill!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

We should have sung! ^__^

(Zone 4a)

I have just one question? And not to take away from Haper by any means - however how long does Harper's Birthday go on for? LOL

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Harper's birthday wishes will go on for as long as we wish it to. It's fun!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Darn, why didn't my smiley face come out as a smiley face? ^_^

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

It was great to meet you too Sue and Nance! Nance, I'll definitely say hello to Sam for you and Bill! Bill was terrific with him!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I missed Sam and Bill and most of the other husbands and sons and nephews and people I didn't already "know" from on here, and I'm sorry about that. (Somehow I met the wives....?)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

A lot of the husbands were hanging together down the street... Who knows what they were doing there? Sam was exploring for a while, then retired to the garage to play his gameboy.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I feel bad - I didn't even know he was there! (Say hi.) (He won't care.)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

How would you know if he would care or not? I'll say hi for you.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

My daughter was there - for about 45 seconds. She couldn't leave fast enough. She wouldn't care - I presumed, extrapolated, whatever. Please, say "HI!" for me.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Your daughter was there? I missed it. I'm sorry it was fleeting. I will say "Hi" to Sam. Then I'll show him your picture and he'll remember you.

Who wants to see kittens?

Yeah, she missed it too! Her "real" father lives in Framingham, so he picked her up there instead of driving to my house later. It's been a few months I've done him a favor.

Oh, cute cute cute I knew this would make me want a cat again! I don't see any adorable kitten! I refuse to look. What cute little kitten?

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

There's no kitten here. Don't bother looking. It's not a good pic anyway.

An optical illusion.... PhotoShop.....

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Nah, just a statue. Statues of cats are great because they're still cute, but you don't have to clean any litter boxes or repair torn furniture. You should think about getting one!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Nah, my kids allergic to those too, I'm sure. Happy July!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Speaking of cute kittens, or cats, that you don't see ...
here's one of mine, asleep in my grandaughter's Pooh Bear chair.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Oooo, yeah! More cat pics please!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

What a pretty kitty.... Looks like a good sized one too!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, Harper, I love your little kitties! They already have so much personality showing through in the photo! What fun! Are they a birthday present? LOL

Yes.......they must be! Happy New Birthday!!!!

Louise

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Is it July already?
Happy birthday, Harper!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Yup, it is. I forget, in what month did we begin this bash?
