longwood trip
That's it from me :) I'll post the trellis photos from the veggie "Idea Garden" on the trellis thread too. We walked by the herb gardens and the children's garden so fast...I would have liked a photo of the mosaic fountain in the children's garden ~ I'm looking forward to a return visit some day!
I had fun with the cat in the chair photo...this is how I felt by the end of our wonderful day
You are so cute Diana. I think we all felt like that after the tour. I am with you. I want to go back and walk in the opposite direction next trip so that I can see all of the wonderful things that I missed by leaving early. We are now trying to decide when we might be able to come back. It was a very wonderful weekend for me.
I won't get to post my pictures today unless I am able to find some time in between all that I need to get done after being gone for a few days. Again, it was a wonderful few days for us.
Ruby
The photos are splendid you all captured the beauty of the place. The treehouses are wonderful and I wish Steve could have been there to see that carved dragon standing guard. It is so picturesque, you really did a bang up job with your cameras!
Haighr, I was thinking last night while viewing all the pictures that it would actually be hard to take a bad picture at that place. I may prove myself wrong when I post mine though. If anyone is going to take a dud, it will be me. ha-ha I will post mine eventually.
Ruby
Take your time Ruby, will be even better if we stretch this out so I am more inclined to go back and look again and again.
Need a break, more pictures to come!
I had a wonderful time. don't know when I'll get back to see it again. I am enjoying everyone picture, such memories of a great time together.
hi ladygardener1 :) I'm loving your photos, in particular the staircase shot and the cape fuchsia in yellow, which I forgot to take. I have a cape fuchsia plant but the trumpets are an orange color. I love that plant and over wintered mine last year with success. Keep 'em coming...and it was a great time...so nice to meet everyone especially.
I have never seen such lush photos. Those azaleas are just gorgeous. All of the photos are beyond my vocabulary!!! I want to retire and move up there and mow the grass every day!
That orchid wall looks like a dreamy spot to hang out, I'll bet it was even more colorful in person. Ohhhhhh, we just gotta get up there.
