If I had a mind, I would be dangerous. Sent without pics. DUH!!!!
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Pt.42 Visit with Friends
I agree about taking the tile up Bev, but maybe you would want to use the tile like stepping stones with some creeping thyme or a really low ground cover in between and around the stepping stones. Or mulch. And then the landscape timber to outline the beds....I don't know. I can't even make up my mind about my own, I keep changing the shape of everything.
Looks good, though.
I have tried those tiles like that Sharon and when they are wet I have slipped on them so thought I better not use them but that sounds pretty, Thanks HUGS BEV Any more ideas of how to use them? I do not want to get rid of them but they do break easy.
Hi Bev,
Have you thought about moving the bird bath to the centre of the garden..it would show it off better. Just a thought.
Landscaping timbers would be better ..then you would have a nice level edge.
Not sure what to do with the tiles since they are slippery.
Cheers,
Carol

Judy,
Ther eis so much written about deer resistant plants in the garden. I thought I had a bunch of links saved--but this is the only one I found. I am sure you could Google it.....
http://www.carrollgardens.com/fs_deer.asp
Liz--The red Rose I attached is my favorite red. It is long-stemmed and a classic Rose. It is called--"Proud land".
Starzz--
I just LOVE the deep blue of your Iris! This is one of my favorite colors in the garden. Along with fuschia and bright yellows...and reds....I have a clump of Iris also that is a deep purple/blue, but not as deep as yours. It is in bud--but hasn't bloomed yet.....Seems EVERYTHING is in bud! I can't wait for them all to bloom....Attaching a picture from last Spring....
Gita
I agree with Carol about the timber. I was thinking, though about the tiles. There is a sort of substance that you can get to apply to the surface of the tile to keep them from being slick. It is like a sand sort of textured substance. If I could describe it better I would say it was like a very sandy but thin layer of concrete just applied to the top surface of the tile. It just adds texture. the ones I saw had a color applied to the sandy mix before it was put on, so that it looked like a design made of that textural mix. The one I remember had a dark green leaf design right on top of the tile, it was a big design, but the natural tile was visible around the deisgn. It was a nice contrast. The bench alongside the path was also the same sort of Hunter Green.
If I can think of what it is called I will let you know. It was something that would stick to the tile surface
I think I posted at least one more, but it is lost somewhere out there in cyberspace.
Nite now.
Love the photo's, can only peep in, family here all aft. and evening..we're suppose to be watching a movie - wanted to take me to the movies, but heck, I wasn't in to it so we're all cuddled upstairs enjoying each other's company..got my trees planted, boys put off working tonight said they'd work first thing in the morning so let's hope..lol
Best of today..just a perfect day, everything brought joy to my life..
Worse..absolutely nothing
What did I learn...when you see shrubs on same that you want, 'buy them' saw 4 of them and went back this morning to pick them up, nada, not one left..maybe tomorrow I'll go check out other nurseries...
Mom didn't like the water feature so that saved me time and money..lol
Will gab with you all later..
Happy Mother's day everyone..
Liz that is so pretty. What are you going to frame it with? How was the trip-visit?
Betty what a nice family day and work out of them tomorrow.
Gita I can hardly wait to see your flowers. I just feel everyone will be tired of certain ones when mine start to bloom.
Shar love all the iris.
Starrz will you be getting pictures of the birds. What a great sounding day you have planned for tomorrow.
I'm tired and the brain is fried. You all have a great Mother's Day.
Vicki, would imagine your gardens would be at the same as Carol and I, Carol's is a bit more advanced ..one wouldn't think 130 miles would make a difference but it does...we'll never get tired of gardens and flowers..know if I do, I'll go back on a few posts and rmember the 4 feet of snow..that will surely do the trick..
Liz it's wonderful..FIL did a great job..will you be inserting it in a window or will it be a hanging?
I'm staying quiet this morning, sleepy heads..lol..I'll give them till 8 and up and at it, BECAUSE it's Mothers' Day...lol
You have no idea just how much those boys like to tease me..yesterday when we settled in I took them and showed them all the marvellous treasures I got in my swaps, they just couldn't believe it..then I told them to read the lovely note Anjl put in my package and of course they had read all your notes in my birthday book, knew something was coming, I looked back and forward to see who would comment, nada, no one said anything, just smirking so I said, it's ok..I pretty well know what you are both thinking so Greg pipes up and says..."thank God for the internet Mom, they have no clue as to how you really are" brats/brats/ I rook over to Jeff and he's just laughing, then I get a hug with the 'we're joking, we love you to death!' boys...
Well, coffee getting cold, few things I'd love to get done before it heats up..sure hope Riley who loves spending her nights hunting and days sleeping on my bed, didn't come home while the skunk made a visit..yuk..it smells out there...
Well I'm off to brave more abuse from those boys..lol...
Enjoy today
Happy Mother's Day..
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ALL!
Just got up and still feel doopy. Have to go get my coffee.
Morning everyone
Vicki,
I'll try to get some pics of the birds one day. I don't have a good zoom on my camera though. I don't have pets so I think of these returning birds as my "no care pets". LOL
Liz your stained glass piece is wonderful! Your FIL must be so pleased to be able to help you.
Betty...enjoy your boys today..will they be planting your cedars for you?
I'll bet they tease you about your GO GO GO.
My crab apple tree is opening nicely..

Good Morning, Happy Mothers Day to all.
Gita, thank you for sharing the Why Women Cry. Reading, it's so beautiful and true!
Also thanks for the link on Deer Deterrents. Very interesting Read.
Ves, I hope you will post photos of your gardens and flowers. I know I never get tired of seeing all the beautiful flowers.
and now, Seems i will have to settle for pictures to get my fill of lovely flowers.
I took pictures of my gardens, but won't share those today. It's suppose to be a Happy Day.
On a Happier note...I went for a nature walk with a friend yesterday, lol good thing because today it's pouring down rain!
Anyway, We saw some beautiful spring flowers and guess what I DID Stumple upon! TRILLIUM!!! Not only White, but Red as well.
Had me skipping as I had just learned about them From Shars article, LOL so much for a quiet walk, I then rattled on about Aunt Bett.
You know I felt really Smart to be able to tell her all the floral, That I was able to name, but mostly the Trillium...The white ones, were fully opened and the red ones weren't, the resemble a tulip opening...Bummer I forgot my camera but I did have c-phone! Soon as I figure out how to send them from phone. I'll show you all the pretties from my Nature walk.
Bev, your shade garde is going to grow in lovely. I have to agree with Carole (Starz) and Shar though. The bird bath is a beautiful feature and standing in that spot alone would be splendid. Of course then I would remove the tiles altogether. Should you choose to keep them together, the only thing I would suggest is perhaps moving the bath over a little bit to give them a more separate look. also, add a more of the stone, or mulch to the timbers...just my suggestion. I have enjoyed seeing all your blloms, beautiful!
Liz, Wow...what a beautiful piece FIL did. Now, tell DH to hurry up with his manly tools and make the frame so we can see it hanging!
Enjoyed my fire last night. Was so glad that I went to this friends house. We chatted about our kids. She has Twin Boys, they are Seniors.
Nice young men, whew talk about Giants! LOL, They even changed the music to my listening, HA, my friend couldn't beleive it, when she came out to the fire, wanted to know what the H*** they were listening to! They just pointed to me. I guess she is used to their Noise.
She has all boys, so had fun getting the girlfriend ready for her Sr. Prom. Now, I know this isn't very nice but...She was cute, but i can't wait for them to see Julia...One of the boys dated Julia in 8th grade...Broke up before the start of school, But we have remained very good friends...ROFL, guess i am a little envious they didn't stay a couple, he is a doll.
Oh, update Julia got her hair cut and she dyed her hair to natural color!! I am so excited, She has very dark brown hair and so pretty.
We've also found someone to do her makeup. Duh, don't know why i didn't think of it. Our friend is a Mary kay Beauty consultant, offered to do Her make on the day of the prom!! Still trying to talk her into an Up style...Will have to show her the style liz suggested...Hopefully she will agree. Next we are in search for long Whitel gloves and a shawl! And she will be set to go...I am so excited lol she is real live Cinderella of to the ball. Big smile!
And Thank you all on such nice comments about her.
Carole, Love the new look of your Tea sitting. You enjoy the day with your family sounded like a lovely day planned.
You too Gita.
Oh Betty, my Betty, what can I say...You are just too cute. You know if i were there I would just have to squeeze you tight!
Enjoy the day with your family. Boys...How fun they tease you so, in such a loving way!
Gilli, GG...I know you two are the busiest moms. So today, I hope that you are beeing treated like Queens.
Shar, I am so glad to see you feeling better. Your gardens are so lovely I always enjoy seeing your blooms. Thank you thank you for Sharing Aunt Bett with us! LOL, I do have some beautiful Iris as well. I have rescued several from gardens of houses sold, that were going to be tear down...So they are always an incredible surprise to see the colors. On one side, I call watkins bed, I managed to plant 4 bearded Iris...When they finally Bloomed the were Yellow..Purple..yellow..purple!! How excited i was to have them come up in that order.
Also, i have White and purple in the front bed. Can't wait till they bloom so i can show you.
Dawn, have misse you too...I can't wait to see your gardens in the front! Have you gotten a chance to plant more??
Well, I have finished a pot of coffee, LOL still waiting to hear any sound of my family stirring.
Will enjoy sinking my hands into something! Ahh..maybe DH will help me with the cutting the next mini house.
MIL coming for dinner so will enjoy a visit...LOL and pray SIL and her don't get into any arguments.
HI Jay...Your right about the Swaps...Really enjoying what what every one got.
Ruby, Thanks you for the idea with Castor Beans! I know exacly where i will plant them..But I am afraid that I would have to plant them across the entire front of my house LOL...I think my neighbors would be offended because that would look like i am shutting them out. But Yes you did send me Seeds! And I will be starting them this week. This way by time Memorial day comes i will have some to place around the property!
Ok...Now really, I'll be quiet and go wait for family to wake up.
Have Lovely day everyone.
...Laura, I am so glad to see you had such a nice day!
wow - way too much for me to catch up with! Beautiful pictures, Sharon!
Betty and Ruby - how long did it take your castor beans to germinate? i planted some more than 2 weeks ago and haven't seen anything yet... But i am not very knowledgable about seed grown things. (Warning to any clueless people like me - those seeds break/crush really easily!!!!)

Hello Amy, Judy, Laura, Vicki,Liz and Carol..been quite a day..most enjoyable..love having the boys around, and do they tease me, sure do...
Know it's almost 2pm, boys and family have all left and this mom is tired out..got ALL my projects on 'to do' list done, lol, maybe that's because I said they couldn't start uncovering the "Foxy Lady" until chores were done..think they are hoping for warm weather for the long weekend..so, in no time at all my 3 trees out front were set in, the old gazebo metal structure that fell last year was made into 2 arbors which were installed on both ends of a treed area which is my secret garden..do have a nice arbour in front, but thought once the shrubs and trees grow, it truly will be hidden, can't waste the metal right..my boys seem to think that yes, these pieces could go out in the garbage..that not everything has to be put to use..don't they know 'trash to treasures' are special, they just shake their heads..told them "I've got a list, don't want any why's, how come or why would you do that" both shrug their shoulders and laughed...as they finished one project they's day and what's the next 'mom'...not on your life would I let such nice metal pieces go to garbage..they simply had to put wood to attach both sides, which I'll paint black and once vines grow, they'll be lovely....lol.., then they cemented 4x4's in for an 8' fence piece that I'll attach lattice to..hopefully it will hide part of the neighbors eye sore..(now to find quick growing vines) ! Said don't you think that having it up there will hide that ugly mess, and Jeff said 'mom, what do you think your neighbor is saying, could he be saying the same...more laughing..thought I raised them better..no respect for their elders..
I tried my hand at a B&B last year and truly enjoyed it, so I'm organizing myself to properly run one part time this summer to take the hotels/other are B & B's overflow so Bernice across the road who ran 'Beyond the Garden Gate' B&B and found it too much at her age (was telling this to the boys and they said 'what mom, is she nearing 60 (more laughing between them) anyway she gave me her sign..so the boys dug holes and cemented the sign which needs upkeep..they so wanted me to wait until the white was sanded and painted..."mom" won and it's now up..then on the more serious side, said I wanted to get together with them both and go over all my papers etc. should anything happen to me..each year I tell them the same and each year - no get together...anyway as I was going on and on about this, Jeff said it was just as well they put up the sign for the B&B as it would be a great place to put a 'FOR SALE' sign next week when I'm gone...lol...they don't take much too seriously..they try to avoid any serious talk with me...
Greg is gone home to work on his pool, Jeff left to go dirtbiking and then back to the city and Greg will pick up the Foxy Lady and take it in for spring servicing for me...so it's been quite a day..actually quite a weekend..I've so enjoyed it..oops..forgot to mention I got the 3 tries, gift certificate for local nursery and a water feature for front deck...will show you a picture once it's out of the box and in operation..right now, it's off for a warm bath, temps are dropping and guess I'm tired as now I've the chills..now I can enjoy my aft. and evening on my own, feet up and resting..well not quite..
So with a kiss goodbye and a 'Happy Mothers' Day' behind me, it's off for a bath and hopefully I can make myself usefull and put in an hour or so on my matt..didn't get far with them all arriving yesterday...
Do hope you all are enjoying your day!
Helping Grandma..
A finish to complete my day...Kyle and Noah just arrived with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a card...truly makes one think of the responsibility we have to the next generation..
Thoughts I'd share their card..
A kid nees a grandma....to share in the fun,
to spoil you a little, and love you a ton.
To laugh at your jokes and admire your art,
to tell everybody you're darling and smart.
To take you neat places to see different stuff,
to make sure you're bear-hugged and cuddled enough.
A kid needs a grandma whole great big lot...
That's why I love the neat Grandma I've got...
You are the best grandma....
Love it, made my day..
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY ALL OF YOU.
BETTY THAT IS WHAT YOU GET FOR HAVING ALL BOYS AND GRANDSONS.
I am a junker too. One time we went to look at this guys mobile home he was selling as a rental and it was junk, so was the whole place, rusty buckets and pitch-forks, rusty everything junky all over and all I could see was yard art and planters etc.
Didn't take it though, no one would have noticed but the neighbors. I have no idea what they would have said. "HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING STEALING MY EYESORE?"
Judy I have been doing a lot but not so much noticeable stuff in front yet. Still waiting on my seedlings and all to bloom and my few roses that I bought to stop turning yellow from over watering.
I spent the day gardening since we did our thing yesterday w/the kids.
Alysha got my hair cut and colored at a posh salon. Way too much money though. I usually go to Super Cuts. There is a girl or two that do a great job for about 5x's less $$$.
Nick has no money at all but did come to my friend's Mothers Day BBQ and stayed all day for me.
I am so darn tired. We just ordered a pizza and are going to watch the finally of Survivor.
Liz did you send me Echivarium or Sempurvium? Not familiar with these succs yet.
Betty I bet the people would love your B&B and always come back.
Hello Everyone -- I am a newly subscribed member -- after popping in once in a while over the past couple years. Betty suggested that I stop by and say hello. I look forward to meeting all of you, although it always takes a newby a while to get acquainted.
I grew up in a greenhouse family - and I worked there a lot as a kid and teenager, less as a young mother, then off and on over the years until I had to get a full-time job to support my kids after a nasty divorce. I won't go into detail on that now -- but it was pretty hard -- not what I'd planned, or wanted -- but then again, I hadn't planned on "him" being an adulterer, either.
I have three grown daughter -- all married, with three grandsons and one granddaughter to the older two. I remarried over 17 years ago -- and I have two stepdaughters with three granddaughters and two grandsons - for a total of nine "ours" grandchildren. Our only "baby" together is our 4-year-old poodle chihuahua, Pepper.
Hubby and I are both retired -- him to age and me to disability, as I cannot handle fragrances, cleaners, chemicals . Those things cause me a combination of asthma breathing symptoms - and voice failure. So -- I have to be very careful where I go -- and to what I allow myself to be exposed. Usually, that means you can find me in my yard -- but now I am also reacting to mosquito bites -- and we live in an area where they can be plentiful. Alas -- now I have to be concerned with my own yard.....
Enough complaining -- I have many blessings in a family who are supportive and (unfortunate for them - and lucky for me), some of whom have similar issues - so at least I can visit my family.
I enjoy participating in garden discussions because it reconnects me with the family background -- and especially, with my Dad, who is gone and, along with my mother, taught me how to do many of the tasks that are required around a mid-sized commercial greenhouse.
Blessings to all of you -- I look forward to knowing you. (My time on in intermittent, right now, because of family, gardening, and occasional travel either with my Mom or to see some of the kids/grandkids.)
T
Theresa
Hi Theresa welcome. Many of us can relate to the adultering man thing, but we all were able to come through it and we all found a great group of friends here so jump right in. Thank God you have a good loving family now. You have us now and your plants too. Surprised the garden isn't a bad allergic thing for you.
Dawn
Hi Theresa,
So nice to have you here. Just hang out with this great bunch and it won't take you anytime to feel right at home. Doesn't seem to matter where we live or who we are, we just all fit right in here.
Just between you and me here is the lowdown on everybody:
Judy and Liz get the giggles a lot so for the most part, just ignore them...they do mean well, but you know how kids are. Real sweethearts and they do keep us entertained.
Now Dawn flits in and out like a butterfly and you never know what she might be up to, but cute as a kitten and going to be a grandma soon for the first time...
If you need to know anything about plants, ask Gita she is our resident expert, or Cat if you can find her...she hides out a lot but oh my, they do know what they are talking about.
Then there is Laura down under, and her days are our nights so by the time she gets here her day is over and she will tell you what is to come. She is so confused about the daylight hours but oh so fun.
Now Starzz, well, she has a secret garden and sometimes she shares with us glimpses of it, but when she goes missing we know she is somewhere in that secret garden trying to find her way out.....she is a real delight.
Then there are GG and Ruby, our sweet little Virginia bluebells, GG is busier than anyone else running here, quilting, running here and there and never still for a minute...but Ruby is our giver of seeds a real sweet grandmother to baby Emily....and you will love them both.
Ves is wayy over there on the other side, and she stops by when she has time, she stays pretty busy with her chores and her job. Sweet lady, though.
That brings us to Gilli...sweet Gilli, lives north of us where it doesn't ever seem to warm up, but with three of the cutest, sweetest little ones you will ever hope to meet.
Bev and Jaye are new too, so you will see them pretty soon...Bev takes wonderful photos, and Jay is my not so secret secret pal....all of which you will get used to.
Which brings us to our Betty. A kinder soul you will never meet, beautiful inside and out, but does not always do what is best for Betty, so we have to keep on reminding her to eat right and sleep right and slow down...she really does get a little fretful with us, but it is for her own good.
and me....well I just hang out here a lot, sometimes I keep quiet, and sometimes I have to add my 2 cents worth, but for the most part I just try to keep every body under control and out of trouble.
Glad to have you here, Theresa, hope you enjoy...
Hugs,
shar

Perhaps it is because I grew up in the greenhouse family, but I have been able to determine which things, in the plant families, that bother me -- because I reacted to some of them long ago -- so I just don't plant those. I know to stay away from some of the oriental lilies - at least, in my house. I have a few in the garden where the wind blows away from them -- out into the field instead of in my house. Another thing that bothers me, in propagation is New Guinea Impatiens. We were licensed to take cuttings from them, and when I did that job - I got a red rash that we could see growing up my arm. No more New Guinea duty for me --- and much as I like them, I don't plant them.
Most of my allergens are chemical and area actually classified as sensitivities. My allergist explained it as "you can't desensitize against sensitivities -- so you are better off having allergies."
I can handle some things outside -- like my lilacs, that I don't choose to bring into the house. I don't use chemicals sprays, etc., in the garden, though, because I've found that many of them DO bother me. I go for the organics instead -- and the home concoctions.
What does and can bother me is the "fragrances" that are added to many products -- and I am not alone, even my grandchildren react with rashes, etc. -- so there is something in the genetics that makes us susceptible.
In geneology research, we know that my great grandfather and his daughter died of what they classified as TB, my grandmother (his other daughter) died of what they called asthma, as did three of her daughters (my father's sisters)-- or complications of asthma and other related issues.
Understanding that -- I have been treated for asthma for over 20 years -- but NOW they discover that a lot of my problems are related to my larynx (voice box) disorder in addition to the asthma. I guess that explains why I've had a lot of laryngitus all my life.
I suppose that there are some gardening procedures that would make it worse, but I've learned to avoid those. For one thing -- I don't weed anything in the heat of the summer. Instead, I mulch, plant on garden fabric or plastic - whichever I can get -- and prepare my garden to be self sufficient. I even set up watering timers to water things when we expect to be gone over long, dry periods.
It doesn't make for a perfect garden -- and it takes me longer to get things done, but it is good relaxation for me -- and I benefit from the exercise, too. I even grow enough things to share with family and friends, although I don't sell anything, as I don't have a license from the Dept. of Agriculture.
Thanks for the welcome. I've overcome the broken marriage, too, but I mention it on occasion so people understand who I am and how I got to where I am. I know that most of us have had some issues in our lives -- and life goes on, if we allow it to -- and if we allow the Help that can come from unexpected and unexplainable Sources. As you said, "Thank God for a good loving family.".... and for the help that came from Him to begin with. That's how I got through it.
Nice to meet you,
T
Theresa
Sharran -- Thanks for the welcome and introduction to some of the folks on this thread. I can be a bit of a night owl -- got used to it after I quit working and hubby was working midnights (before he retired) -- but it has always been my most creative "writing" time -- whether I am writing to friends, on a garden site, or to family -- or just journaling or writing a bit of poetry. Poems popped into my head a lot when I was going through some tough times, and they don't fit here, in this thread, so much, but they rather just popped into my head -- and often woke me up from a sound sleep. It was as if someone was "dictating" to me while I was asleep -- and when I awoke, there was the whole thing -- in my head. I had to get up and write them down, when they "came" because I was afraid of losing the thought.
Those writings came to me "out of the blue" so to speak -- whether you want to credit "the muse" or something else -- I have my thoughts of where they came from. Anyway -- they are a lot about my divorce and the things that lead up to it, and the protection I received over and over. Some are published, but many more have sat in my computer over the years. Now and then I get the whim to send more out to get published, but more often, I make them know and let people ask for them if they want.
I also have done a little freelance writing for the local newspaper, when it was an owned subsidiary of the Wallstreet Journal, but it has since been purchased by another conglomerate. It now uses nationally written material more often - I presume because they can get it cheaper. However, it did show me that I can write printable material, other than the poetry. (Few poets make a living at it.)
In addition, when I changed jobs and was working more hours, I didn't have the time to do the interviewing that was required for the newspaper writing. After that, my sensitivities got worse, so I don't spend a lot of time meeting with people about whom I wish to write any longer.
Time for this night owl to head off to bed. Nice to chat with you -- you may get the opinion, pretty soon, that I can be a bit verbose:) My hubby finds it difficult to believe that I was once "shy".
T
Theresa
You are a lovely writer, T, and I can tell you that we look forward to reading your poetry, whatever you would like to share.
Nite folks...bedtime for this Nite Owl, too.
I hope you all had a great MD too.
Oh, Laura...I got more charms for my Pandora bracelet!!!!!

Hi ! all. I happen to be aquainted with thwoods and I want to tell you she is one of the nicest gals you will ever want to meet. You all will enjoy having her with us.
WECOME THERESA !!!!!!!! :) Glad you are here. I went through 3 rotten apples before I found this one that I have been with for 28 yrs. He is a little rotten too.was way rotten up until 6 yrs ago when he had his strokes but I Don't dwell on it cause I would be nuttier that I am now.
I could write a book but it would probably win something like the pulitzer prize(spelling) and I don't want to be known arround the world. This little world right here helps me a lot.
We have 3 things in common. I used to think up songs and poetry too but couldn"t remember them the next morn so they went by the wayside. One that I did write down was when my youngest brother Donnie passed I just didn't think I could go to the funeral so stayed up most of the night crying. About 4 0clock in the morning in the dark the good Lord spoke to me and said don't turn the light on, Get pencil and paper and write what I tell you and it will help you.
I did that and here is what I wrote in the dark with his hand guiding mine.
Rejoice, my friends and family
For I am not in pain
I flew away to heaven
I pray my life was not in vain.
For I loved you all you see
and I know that you loved me
Though life be full of sorrow
I have found a better tomorrow
The minister read this at the funeral that I was able to go to!!!!
One more thing we have in common is that I was terribly shy until I met Scotty 28 yrs ago and so I am shy no more.
So welcome again and to all you other wonderful people I will say God sped and talk later big busy day today. HUGS BEV
Morning! So glad so many of you had nice days yesterday. Mine was an average day. But I must say this is the first time DS called me and wished me a Happy Mother's day. But I think it was to see if I'd fall down like he was seeing in the comercials. LOL I didn't see the commercials so had to disappoint him.
Welcome theresa! Yes you will love this bunch. Quite a diverse group. Sorry about your sensitivities but sounds like you know how to deal with them. Genetics can play some dirty tricks on us. We also love lots of pictures if you have any to share with us.
Judy I looked out the window last night and there were 2 deer with a third coming. The one was heading for my tulips! I yelled at DH to scare it off and of course it heard me and ran! So I do understand how disappointed you must be. Here's a hug for you.
Liz and Betty have a good day at work and anyone else that has to.
Hope the rest of you enjoy your gardens today. I hope to go out and get some pots ready for planting. Get the starts outside for a bit. Check my pea plants that I planted. I think we had a light frost last night. But the sun is shining and felt good when I let Ty out.
I'm going to see if DH will go to town and then I don't have to this week. I've got an extra day to work as the managers sister died. Don't want to waste my one day off running to town.
Might be back later.
Vicki
Here are the tulips.
