ardesia, Thanks!
I'm realitively new to the South so I guess I got a lot to learn about the area and storms here.
Blooming in May
I think next year I'll have all these put together into a blinding display. LOL.
I'm growing these and have them in the ground already.

Maybe throw some orange cosmos in there and now that I look at it that black and blue silvia would probably make a nice contrast.
I want to use a couple of these but I'm not sure if they turn out to be bushs or if they will be trees?
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/38374/, I'm thinking they'll die back every year and end up being a dark red flowering bush. My back up to that is http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/114737/.
Don't know how this will turn out but hopefully you need sun glass to look at it. LOL.

Core, some agapanthus are really deep blue and would look cool, or you could throw in black hollyhocks, old fashioned style if you really want to go tacky large
bordersandjacks waaaayyy back, I LOVE the ballistic cuphea, now I have to convince you to come to the RU for swapping cupheas. I have a couple, but not that one. love that deep color
CoreHHI, Beautifull blooms! You wouldn't happen to know the name on that daylily would you? Love the black and Blue Salvia's, and so don't the hummingbirds!! Mine are only about 1 1/2- 2ft high right now, I wonder why your's are so far along and mine are behind seeing as we pretty much come from the same area? Love that Orange Trumpet Bush! I just might have to get me one of those! I've seen the ones that are like vines but have never seen the bush type.
Iris and Core: Love all your flowers! My Black n Blue Salvia is a couple of weeks behind yours, Core.
Fortunately, last night's hail didn't do any real damage. We had some lightning strikes that sounded like they were hitting the roof! Glad for the rain. I'm getting ready to go out of town for a week and am not at all sure DH will remember to water anything. :)
Here's two bloomers. First is daylily, "Wild Horses".

Hey Deb, Wild Horses is one of my favorites! Mine should be blooming within the next few days. I have Double River Wye too, but this will be the first year to see it bloom, At least now I'll know what to expect, Very pretty!
diehrdsouthrnr, You got a y! Won't be too long to getting some buds now!
Sorry don't remember the name of the daylily Iris. Never noticed the humming birds by the salvia but I see them almost every night durning the summer on my MG's. More like dusk is when they show up.
My wife realy likes Passiflora I just have to figure out where to put one.
Iris - that Passi is just gorgeous....I tried two from seed this year, malformis and granadilla, the malformis did best on germination and is about to bloom soon ( I hope)
