You might be right but I wouldn't fool with the spanish moss. People I've known who have gotten red bugs have gotten them from ground sources or at least that's what they think.
Learned something today. I was always told the red bugs dig into your skin, I guess not according to that article.
Here's another article. Check out what they say at the very bottom of the page.

Blooming in May
thanks deb. they were my early fathers day present to my dad, since i wouldn't be able to buy him one in june, which is when ill be saving for India.
about the spanish moss, if you think about it it makes sense. they are bromeliads, and bromeliads are flowering plants, so it makes sense for spanish moss to also be flowering. its like how many people think that trees like oaks don't flower. well, they have seeds, don't they? and all plants that reproduce by seeds must flower because all seeds come from flowers( for conifers, the cones count as flowers... just ugly flowers). since both of these are true, one must come to the conclusion that oak trees have flowers. this is what i do when i'm bored (esp. in school!)....i think deep thoughts when i have nothing to do, or at least nothing to do that appeals to me.
core, my mom told me about that when i was little every time i saw it, but i still touched it.... never have gotten them, but ur right that i should be careful. there's alway a first. this particular moss was from a tree at school that had a branch at eye level that i walked into every day (which is how i saw the flowers)
LOL Corey, I NEVER microwave snakes or bats either for that matter. Hey, the Porta Potty is gone; need any more nanas??????
Trent, think of it this way, you will think even deeper thoughts if you pay attention in school and how cool would that be. Even if you get only one tiny smidgen of information out of a boring lecture it will be worth it down the road. Not only that, you might even get into college. :-) It's only for a few more weeks, so hit the books kiddo.
edited because obviously I didn't take my own advice never learned to spell.

yeah, i dont do it all the time, but if its like a review of things that i am already good at thats when i'll daydream. but yes you are right, and usually do intend to be attentive, just sometimes i don't
Wow I am gone 3 days and my yard decides to bloom all kinds of goodies...speaking of goodies...these are two of my trades from the Southern App Roundup (TY Phloid you are an awesome trader!!)
Sago and BofP (white) we had to perform surgery on one of her 6 fans because someone wanted a piece of her...I was only too happy to share...Phloid was a doll in performing the surgery...the rest of us played nurse....LOL
yeah for a mission trip with my church here's the link to the thread about it: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/840973/
i got baptized with my sister today at the beach at chaplin park!!!
very cool trent!
Bangalore, India, lol. I know someone who transferred there last month. I could probably hook you up with a nice room at the Marriott.
Going to be a bit warm and crowded there. Should be an experience. I've never gone there myself but the person I know worked with my wife at the Marriott and said she'd get us rooms if we ever want to visit. Usually those countries have the high end and then the rest. I imagine you'll get to see the rest.
Let's see if I have a picture of her. She's from that part of the world, BTW. If you see the lady on the right, if you couldn't figure that out, say hello from me. LOL.
Think this is where she works. Looks like a nice place. Jim Baker would love it.

sure will, core! lol yeah our church arranges the hotels and flights, we just pay and serve and show others the love of God. last time the Youth Group went was to help with the tsunami.
wow nice hotel!!! i heard our hotel is pretty nice, but we won't be there to relax and enjoy it, but I'm sure we'll make time for that if we have a spare moment that we aren't exhausted!
Actually that lady above is named Diana from Sri Lanka. She was picked up by a big modeling agency while working in a hotel on Sri lanka and moved to India then off to England where she modeled. Never gave up the hotel job. Then off to Canada for a few years then ended up in Hilton Head. Girl's traveled a bit. Last few years her looks have declined and husband hunting on HHI didn't turn out well so she decided to go back to the motherland sort of. She doesn't have anything good to say about Sri Lanka and has moved the family out of there. Parents in England and sister in HHI. If I could write well I would write a book about her. She had a strange ability to find hockey players to date. LOL. One of the interesting side stories with her.
Diehard you know who Jim Baker and Tammy faye were?
wow thats more traveling than i think i'll ever do in my life! no i don't know who those people are...I'm ignorant, i know
trent - you aren't ignorant - Jim N Tammy were well before your time - he was a TV evengelist who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar...and a few other places too if you catch my drift...His wife was the butt of many Sat. Live skits - she wore enough makeup to keep Revlon in business.....I remember she always seemed to have streams of mascara running down her face when she got worked up ...He went to prison, she divorced him and re-married down the road....
yeah i never trust tv evangelists... it just doesn't seem right. idk why, but it doesn't. fame money and power can really mess up some 'good' people if they start to turn their focus from the Lord.
no it is only open to high schoolers and adults (i was going into 7th grade then), plus i was still living in Lexington at the time.
debin that is an awesome iris!
Rednyr, it is pretty cool, isn't it? This is the first year I've had this one, and it's a keeper. :)
oh yeah for got to add that that iris looks great
debin well if you find it missing from your yard please don't come check my yard LOL JK
Plant napery. I have my eyes on a few things in Savannah. Cutting are easy to do a drive by but bulbs might be harder to grab. LOL.
Now that I think about it they enjoy stuff like that down in Sav.
"Man wielding a small utility tool was chased around down town after plant napping several cutting and bulbs."
"Sources say this might be an internet based plant napping ring."
"Be on the watch for anyone buying rootone."
