is that that hardy what's it called...can't think? can it take periods of being underwater.......not standing water but this is a ditch i have created between 2 berms so that water would drain better off my yard. so it will be only during rains and only as it makes it's way to the ditch.

DawninTx...only if no one else asks for any would it be possible to get one of the Pride of Barbados seedlings from you?
and gee Becky your tree list looks about like mine did last fall and the sassafras keeps coming up everywhere along with
pines and cedars LOL
If no one asks for the blueberry plants and you really want to get rid of them I would gladly take them but only if no one else asks
we're still working on getting this placed cleaned up and things planted in place of over grown brush and weeds.
You guys have been busy!!
Dawn….. Please save me a Moonflower Vine
Hi Becky, welcome! Look forward to meeting you.
……….May I ask for these please? Look and see what you want from my list please.
1 Paw-paw
1 Pine Tree
1 Beautyberry
1 Pink/yell lantana
Charlene…… Have these for you:
Monarda 'Rasberry Wine'
Georgia Blue Speedwell
Lyreleaf Sage
Mibus2.....Was the pine seedlings for the Rudbeckia a go??
OH gee I missed your post Sheila but sure thing I'll dig them up closer to time
Thanks

NEW BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
hello beck from co-ma-neal. lol. can you tell a boy paw paw from a girl paw paw? more lol but i'm serious here. is there such a thing? i was told there was and i have one tree. how do i tell which it is? it's a baby yet.
and if you have enough please save me a paw paw tree......i want the one i don't have. lol. and i bet dawn wants one....would you hold her one until she gets back on tomorrow. and if you only have one i'll give it to dawn and hope that we can have a marriage someday.
whassa farkleberry tree? shoot..what's a farkleberry. is this a texas tree?
did yall ever play that game called farkle?
Mibus... I will save 2 blueberries for you, and if no one wants the others ..they are yours
Thanks Sheila.. nice to meet you too ! Sure .. paw paw, pine, beauty berry, and lantana.... how big do you want the pine?? I think I can get a 3 footer in my little car.
Now I will ask... hehe
Sheila... I would like the monarda, and the obedient plant.. gotta look these names up.. they are greek to me lol
Charlene.. I would like the daylillies and the fern, if you would like to trade
Mibus... the loquat tree please.. lol ya know trees really multiply in SE TX
Dawn... the red castor bean and cleome
Mama.. I would like some mexican hat and the pecan trees... are they native or other?
cocoa_lulu ...The turkestansia ( now I won't "smell "so bad in the garden) hehe and varigated pineapple sage
blue_eyes... The turks cap, purple obedient pups, and the TX white star hibiscus
Whew.. Thanks everyone !!
Now Mama.... how do you KNOW there are boy and girl pawpaws??? hmmm?? Have you looked???LOL... heck I don't know these are natives here, and I have a few...(LOTS) they all flower.. soooo????? Maybe I need to save you 2, and you can figure out if they are girls or boys...hehe.. I can get ya'll all you want. Mine have finished flowering, and they have the cutest bunches of baby bananas you ever saw.... maybe about 1/2 inch so far
A farkle?? I call them huckleberry, but plant files named it that I guess... they are native here. Cute little nodding white flowers in the spring... not too conspicuous, untill they all fall on the ground... and blackish blue berries in the late summer/fall. Have you heard of huckleberry wine?? There you go.. hehe I did make jelly one yr. but didn't really care for the "musty" flavor... but if you like wine.. you would like the jelly. The tree doesn't grow that tall, so could be more likean ornamental, I guess... Don't ya want a couple??
MamaJ....Have yoself in front of the newcomer, we don't want to skeer her off !!! LOL!! Although it looks like she can hold her own with you!
OOhh! Kim.....can I get a TX white star hibiscus

Becky, Add the last items you listed on the first post you made (click the edit under your id on that post) and Charlene will link to it when she can. That way we can keep all of our stuff in one place and easy to see what you have.
You only get so many edits a day, so be patient.
Kim......I see you have Passiflora 'incense', may I have one please?
Charlene....Please save me a few of the mystery daylilies!!
This message was edited May 1, 2008 12:15 AM
I don't have anything to list yet. I am still buried by 500 hostas. ::sniff:: Maybe next week.
If anyone has an extra passi, I would love one. Picked one up last fall at the swap, but it didn't make it through the winter. Don't care what color it is, but blue is always nice. (Hmmm... I think I'm seeing a recurring theme here...)
Becky no I didn't know that ....I'm still learning on Texas, E Texas and what all grows here ...I'm still in my first year living here, but am loving it and of course as you can see everyone here is great ....helpful, friendly, and of course FUN
Just wish we were all closer together so running around to do things would be more enjoyable.
Hey I didn't see anyplace where it says a time to start....just wondering so we know if we will be "waitin on mamajack" to get there ...ROFLMAO
Guess we could tell her it starts two hours earlier than it does, maybe she would be on time! LOL!
Wow, I slept a while and a newbie came aboard and was welcomed by all. Welcome Beck!
Does George still have his place in Colmesneil? I love George. I took care of his grandbabies when I had a daycare center in Vidor. His little crystal was in my kindergarten class. I ate breakfast with George and TAmmy one time at Baptist hospital. His mom was in there and my dad was in there. It was back in his heavy drinking days, but it was early and he was sober. He grew up with a guy that worked for my dad. I mentioned him to George and he got all excited about the guy. They used to sing together. The guy that worked with my dad could sing like George, but he was (if that is possible) a worse alcoholic than George.
Mama we will start at 8:00 a.m. and for everyone else 10:00. I don't think plumbago will do any good for you. They don't do well in zone 8 for me.
Beck, may I have some periwinkle and the two purple daturas?
Kim, if you have an extra incense passie, I'd love one. I killed mine.
Got Sheila down for mystery daylilies and beck down for fern and daylilies.
PBtxlady, I have an incarnata passie for you.
Wow what a nice start to my day!! It is nice to wake up to good friends having a frenzy over new bloooood! as Mama said.
Charlene
Mama, I have cruised the web and found this for you: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/MG253#TABLE_1 This is for north Florida which is zone 8. The big leaf periwinkle will fit your needs to a T. Have a look and I'll send you a bill for my research! LOL
8 AM huh? weeeeeeeeeeeeelll we'll see about that.
and beck.........somebody up north told me that there were mom and pop paw paws. thank you for bringing me 2.
oooooooooooh...huckleberries........i know what that is. is your soil acidic in co-ma-neal?
and are we talking about THE GEORGE? not straight but tammy's ex? from co-ma-neal, tx? well charlene i once knew someone who had their picture made with elvis back in the hayride days. and i knew somebody else who dated him. and that person is the one who taught me the correct way to put toilet paper on a holder. small world, huh? hahahahahaha yep, you're right, what i said didn't have anything to do with what you said.
o.k. NEW ADDITION..............comfrey...get'm now.
mama are you reading the posts further up then just one or two???? it will explain the 8am for you ...hahahaha
and yesum I am pickin on ya ...gotta have someone to pick on other then my DH.
Mama, I don't have plumbago. I tried it for two Summers. Each time it turned out to be an annual, It was drought tolerant but stingy with blooms. I stopped investing in them. They may do better for you in your black soil and zone, don't know. What's the farkle game? Is it like dewberry paint ball?
Beck, glad your coming! I'll put you down for turkestansia and pineapple sage:0)
Jones baby! Straight is good, but Jones and Twitty make my day! I could listen to the two of them on my death bed and die a happy woman. LOL
I reached my limit for edits today. So, I'll have to give it up until tomorrow. LOL
This is me and DH in my antique shop with ? Do you know her?
http://www.geocities.com/nanaandpoppysantiques/pamtillis.jpg
I'll give you a hint: She can shake the "sugar tree".
Another hint: Her dad stststststutters.
Mornin' All,
Mibus.... ohhhh yes, even though our soil is sandy soooo many "things" like to transplant themselves all over the place. I have been reading prior threads, so I feel I know ya'll..hehe and LOL when you mentioned mama and the time to start.. I read that one too
Charlene.. thanks for the welcome.. I am sooo excited to really meet all of you.. I think I heard ol' George sold his place to his brother?? I never met him, but they said he got "pulled over" many times drunk and weaving... ON HIS JOHN DEER LAWNMOWER... rotfl... His place it very pretty, but not as large as you would expect a "stars", and not NEAR the landscaping it should have had.. I guess not every one likes to dig in the dirt like I do
yep the dats and periwinkle... they are yours
Mama got you for the pawpaws and the huckleberry.. 2 each
Yes my soil is very acidic... sandy sandy sandy what soil do you have?
And see.... Ol' George helped put co-ma-neal on the map.... finally..hehe we have maybe 600 people in our lil town
OH... and mama I might be needing a ride into the center, as I might be late too.. That is NOT one of my virtues being on time ( both of us together can "fight them off better than one at a time...lol)
I will try hard to be there early... even though I am not an early bird!!
I know.... Pam Tillis !!! Aren't you SPECIAL !!! Lucky you.... And you are soo pretty too !!
yep, i been readin' it all and i know there's a conspiracy.
madonna? is that madonna?
my friend tom has met mitchell musso and hannah montana. another friend almost went to a 3 dog night concert. i named my son elijah after one of their songs. personally i met morris the cat once at the dallas morning news. he peed in the interview room.
Becky, Welcome! I'm looking forward to meeting you at the round up. I've got you down for castor bean and cleome. I'd love one of your agaves please. My daughter has decided that she loves these, and I'm going to make a special 'desert' planting for her. Anything to nurture her interest in gardening!
Charlene - if you have extra passiflora incarnata I'd like to get one.
Kim - do you happen to have any white texas star hibiscus seedlings left?
Does anyone have passiflora 'Constance Elliot' ? I had rooted a cutting of this one, but the day after I planted it I came out to find it chewed back to the ground. So I broke down and purchased one from a nursery, only when it bloomed, it turned out to be 'Blue Crown'. Pretty, but not the one I wanted. :(
well dawn......you don't speak anymore? lol. and just so you know......there's a mess with shipping on the crocs.
oooh, I see the mess with the crocs. Is everyone freaking?
Dawnin, I'll put you down for a passie.
Beck you are right on! Pam Tillis. She spent thrity minutes in my shop on a dead day when there were not many customers before I found out who she was.
When her and her back-up singers were checking out they had Tn ID. I asked the stupid question if any of them were singers. Pam was kind of hiding, but one of them turned towards her and I finally realized.
She and her "girls" with her made my day in my lil' ol' shop. They spent about seven hundred dollars between them.
Charlene
