Funny, the three Ps.
Special price Pixie if you buy 4, get one free. Mothers Day is coming. All men should get something for their wives for Mothers Day, no matter if your kids are grown, if you only have dogs....
I forgot to say, great choices Thom. I have most of them. Do you know Dino gets about 6 feet tall, under good conditions?
What have you bought so far?? Pt.5
Oh Honey is going to pay for them....you still honey Victor??
Um...
Ha ha ha! Thought you'd change your mind.
I very seldom ask for anything, so when I do he NEVER says no.(grin)
I bought echinacea 'Avalanche' to replace Jade and Fragrant Angel that look like goners.
That's a white one, right Al? Do you have Coconut Lime?
Yes it's white. Yes I have Coconut Lime - it's coming up fine.
This is your second year with Coconut?
I think I lost one of mine from the Big Sky series.
Yes.
What an awful pic and apparently I got it early.LOL

I have Primadonna White back too - which I really like. I also have my seedlings from PW that will flower this year also for curiosity sakes.
I for sure lost After Midnight - it faded late in the year and is mush now.
Twilight is on its third year for me.
I just got 'Sunset" last spring and it doesn't look like it made it through the winter.
Twilight is back, Sunrise is fine.
How about Dusk? Evening?
Evening Dusk PPAF?
I picked up the one helenium available local that I didn't have - Sahin's Early Flowering. I think it might be similar to Mardi Gras.
I'm game!
I planted Sahin last Fall.
Echinacea, What is the secret? I have never been able to grow them. I am sure I won't have one in the garden unless I buy a plastic one. I can't grow lupines either. Patti
I thought so. Helenium you at least don't have to sweat whether they will make it through the winter. Mine were under 4' of snow all winter - since my neighbor blows all her snow on top of them.
Bloody lupines!
I don't know Patti - Magnus is one tough cookie -are they too wet?
I assume they don't like wind, fog, salt and sand, but then they sound like they like Victor. And Pirl grows great lupines on LI. Must be me. Patti
don't feel bad..I have no luck with Lupines either. Arlene gave me seed and only one sprouted!
I think everything but the salt is fine Patti.
I have one sad lupine that hangs in there every year.
Couldn't sleep.
The Master Gardners from the Cornell Extention in Rochester NY are having their garden sale. Lots of divisions from their gardens.
It's also the first weekend of The Lilac Festival.
My friends went to Seneca Hill Nursery and bought some unusual things, they were told that the nursery saves the best plants for mailorder.
Nurseries who have the shipping and customer relations down to a science are going to do well.
Just checked out Herronswood on line. Will see what watchdog has to say.
Just checked and am not impressed with their scores.
Think I'll take a pass.
JoAnn, where is the Cornell sale? I may go to Highland Park today and beat the crowds.
The Monroe County Extention is across from St John's Home and next to the VietNam Vet's memorial.Let me know how you make out.
OK, now I remember. Thanks, and I will let you know!
I am at the MAX for new plants in the new garden.
I want to see how this season does befor I crowd anything.
I Have a gift cert. to Hidden Hollow Nursery across from the new Penfield YMCA and plan to buy more annuals this AM. Maybe a perennial if something tempts me.
Polly is leading me into temptation and with the rain it's hard to resist going to Ensata to see...just a little glance...nothing major I'm sure.
Power of P!!!
Is now a good time to sow lupine seeds?
Yes, Victor. Very early spring or even in fall is better but go ahead and plant them. I'd to about six to the square foot because germination varies. They HATE damp spots.
It must be cloudy all over the East, so many chatting in the forum.
I have a few vacation days.... happy & sad it's raining.... can do a lot in the house today but would rather be outside
