How can you be lonely when you're among friends?!
DG Names.....What's your real name??
Yeah, Gloria........we don't do lonely here......you're not only from Michigan; you're from Northeast of Somewhere - just like the rest of us! Cheers! Louise
Gloria, don't feel lonely! It's not about where you live, but that you are here with us!! I just want to know when you have a blizzard that I have a day or two before it will hit in Glens Falls!!! LOL Eleanor

Hi Christina. I do recognize your DG name.
Hi Christina.....I like your DG name! Chime in more....we're happy to have you! Louise
Hi, Christina!! I remember the screen name and you will be added to the list!! Stop by more often, even if it's just to say hi!! Eleanor
Gloria - Watertown is just up the road from Syracuse (I grew up near there). Eleanor
Hi all! I do keep meaning to post more...but my schedule's kinda crazy so I end up falling behind on all the posts. Today I post not from the Northeast, but Southwest - Palm Springs, CA
Eleanor- I worked with a guy from Glens Falls. He goes up there many times a year since he owns the house he grew up in. His aunt lives in the house.
I passed through Glens Falls years ago when I took an "I Love NY" trip. Nice town.
That was back in the early 80's when the gas prices weren't off the wall. I zig-zagged all over the state - North to Plattsburgh, SW as far as Ithaca & SE back to NYC.
It was two weeks of fun.
Nancy
i am in a state of denial.
(Yes, Carrie - i am always amazed when someone responds to a post i signed and calls me amethystsm - so many letters - yikes! Though just amethyst is ok too...)

...if ROBINDOG gets to be spelled ROBIN, can't i just be amy..?
Hi SongsofJoy/Christina!
Funny you would say your in Palms Springs.....my Brother is too!!
Hi Celeste,
Is your brother visiting or does he live here? I'm actually just outside of Palm Springs - in LaQuinta. It's hot as you know what here. What a difference to go from 30-something degrees to 98 in 6 hours!!!
dpoitras = Debby - NY
Dear Amy,
My sister's and my mother's birthstone is amethyst and it is also the name of my good china. We love amethyst here.
Martha
Christina, he does lives in Cali. but is visitng my nephew (his son) in Palm Springs area.
Hi Debby - long time no see!
Hi Victor. It is good to be back! I am still full of questions. You were right about emergence plants. I could tell what was what!! It is so exciting to see my garden come back to life!! I should learn to not doubt you.
Ha! Please don't give me too much credit.
Yes, Debby, you make think of that famous poem:
I come from the City of Boston,
The home of the bean and the cod,
Where Cabots speak only to Lowells
And Lowells speak only to God.
Victor doesn't actually have any insider knowledge - we're all just waiting to see what made it through the winter and what didn't! Welcome!
I already have a few losses to report - most sadly, I fear my hosta 'Guacamole' , which was a gift from a DG friend. Now they are together again in the great garden in the sky. It was so cool to have a living reminder of this woman I had never met in person! No longer. :-( RIP, Guacamole. RIP, Diane.
xx, Carrie
sacarvounis-Alison I'm new to DG and am somewhat overwhelmed....although this site is so much fun! This is dizzying....how do you guys keep the names straight??

Good Grief, im the only one from Maine?? I know there are more from Maine but they frequent different forums.....their loss!
Alison, welcome! As a newcomer, you see this long list; but we've learned each other's names one post at a time. That's how I made my list - I kept a pad of paper beside the computer and, everytime I saw a new name, I'd write it down.
Eleanor, thanks for updating the list!
Welcome Alison.
Pixie (I mean, Celeste!)don't feel bad I think I'm it for RI too!
Sue
I guess we are just one-of-a-kinds!!!
You mean you people who seem so smart about knowing every different screen name spelling etc. actually have a cheat sheet? I feel much better. Meeting people IN person absolutely helps me, at least if I meet someone twice it does help. once helps a little. Tip: Dave47 will answer to Dave, but allegedly his REAL friends call him David. (And what are we, chopped liver?) xx, Carrie
Thanks, Sue....I like your system for keeping track of the names!
Must be a population explosion up there!lol! Maybe those cold winter nights (wink-wink!)
heehee!
Alison - welcome to the Northeast Forum. Hope you're not too overwhelmed cause we are. I can't remember who's who and this list does help. Celeste - there was someone else from Maine - elisabethclark - but only posted a couple of times in the forum. Debby - good to hear from you again. When I was working on the list I knew there was a neighbor of mine down the road and I couldn't remember her name. Shoulda had a list to make the list. I only went through a few threads and not too far back to look for names!! Thanks for responding and adding your name. I added Debby and Alison to the above list. Eleanor
