I'm an avid gardener. My motto is "I'd rather hoe than mow". I have some serious problems with my spine and I can not be as active in the garden as I once was, but I do what I can. We have very little lawn and lots of perennials, flowering shrubs, containers and ponds with waterfalls. Our back yard is our sanctuary.
