Oh we had some fun today! LOL
First, I was going to go get the truck inspected, then go get the taxes paid. Isis, however, had other ideas for me.
She decided she would start weaving and walking funny, leaning to the left and favoring that back leg. So, off to the vet we go. Seems she's pulled a ligament. Thye gave me some painkillers to give her. Yeah, thanks. THAT will be fun for us both. Fortunately, it's liquid, so she won't be able to spit it out.
Then I finally get over to Midas and it's 2 1/2 hrs waiting for them to be done. We passed inspection and the it's off to the DMV. That was okay because they have a drive-thru. Five minutes there and away we go home.
Now Darrell and I are headed to Lowe's to get some edging for the trees. The grass keeps creeping in so we need the edging to block it.
It's been a good day, though.
Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 21
As for things to do, not much unless he has the kids with him.
heeheehee.
If he does, boy has he got some 'splaining to do!
(We don't have kids. Well, except the college students at the university he teaches at...)
But i'll pass along your recommendations...
(still laughing)
Is that a typo, or is there really a gift shop IN the swimming pool? Because if there is - i think he has to go there!
Yes, the gift shop is IN the swimming pool. It's very eclectic. The choices for souvenirs are average, though.
Hi girls, been working in the yard when we can and finding out my energy just isn't there. Not yet. I went to a native plant sale then a native nursery with my best friend a little more than a week ago. That was fun, but geez was it tiring! We spent last Sat. up at their house working on their yard. Her mind is blank on where to plant and how to do it. So I've become her "designer" or sorts. She's interested in learning about native/indigenous plants now, so that's been fun too.
We've been having a lot of rain, so we've had to work between the raindrops here and also up at their house. More rain in the forecast almost every day of this week. Cooler than normal too. Our temps are mostly in the 60's, occasionally in the 50's..still. I'm beginning to wonder if we're ever going to have any sort of a spring before the heat hits us. Or will it ever heat up outside?! So weird this weather we're having.
Hope all had a great Mother's Day!
We have been the same way except we do hit the 70s often now. But usually just low 70s.
Had a riding lesson today. I ended back up on April because my regular mount has a high temp of 102 deg and was breathing heavily. So we stalled him so the vet could come by and check him out tonight. I have some cute pics coming too hopefully tomorrow of the horses. Batteries were low so I have them on the charger. :~)
Hi, everyone! Back from work.
Isis is doing much better today. Darrell remembered her falling off the back of the couch the night before when I was working. We think she caught her back claw on the couch and tweaked her knee that way.
Amanda, looking forward to the pics!
Terry, I so wish you felt better. Being tired takes most of the fun out of things. I keep you in my thoughts. ☺
