my valentine rose w/snow...I want some Blooms!
Whats blooming outside your door
Oh, my gosh - your yard is scrumptious!!!
Bea...utiful bulbs, just gorgeous along the fenceline!
Love that rose. So healthy.
Scrumptious is right. Snow wouldn't dare stay there too long. Guess what?? Sun break at my house!!
Snow has melted here too! Still off & on sun-rain. Started to work on a raised bed..then some hail. Back inside catching up on laundry..
Boring..but needs to be done..
Bea - check out the thread, You Know You're An Avid Gardener When, from several months ago on this forum. We definitely outed ourselves as a bunch of people who would rather wear dirty clothes than miss out on any garden fun to do laundry. It was pretty funny.
A touch of sun here, too (after a heavy snow - didn't really stick). We hadn't had snow when all the rest of you did.
I got outside long enough to transplant (finally) the fabulous Hellebore from Dragon Fly - poor little things were so rootbound in their 4" pots!!! They are now in gallon pots (I don't have my flower beds figured out yet) and are looking much happier . . . those are some of the healthiest plants I have ever seen!! I'm so excited about them. Now I just need one of those Hellebore that Rachel has!
katie ..funny stuff on "You Know You're An Avid Gardener When".
Should get that one going again..I am sure there will be more to add
from others out there or some new stuff from the regulars.
What a riot!
You Know You're An Avid Gardener When : you can relate to everyones posts on the "You Know You're An Avid Gardener When"
forum.
Too cute!
LOL - I'm lovin' this!!!
to be continued... They have cousins to visit tomorrow!
beats 60 minutes.. & the last basket of laundry that needs folding ... Boring...
That's one big dude peeping tom! Looking forward to more pics tomorrow.
Bea,
I love your fairies! I have a "family" of them as well. Where did they shop for thier furniture, trellis, and watering cans? Mine would like to know they will be redecorating this spring. They have been snowbirding in the garden window all winter.
Bea -
Love the pig sty. I need one!!
I think you didn't catch the pervert. The guy you saw was the authorities, who just ate the pervert. All's well with the bug police on the job.
Did you see the faery doors here?

katie..great minds think alike..I was just on their web site.
Few surprises in store for my garden and the fairy's that live
here! They have been so patient for spring to get here. They deserve a special treat! They will have a great summer enjoying all the beauty that the Lord has given us.
have a nice evening all..
P.S almost forgot rachierabbit. Most of my fairy stuff I have had for awhile..and can't remember where I got it. The link for enchanted gardens
that Katie lists has darling stuff and all the accessories.
otherwise a google search should come up with something I am sure.
Goodnight!

Beautiful cat. It isn't ofter you get to have a cat for 18 years. Lots of good memories. Sorry you have to go through the sorrow twice.
Neofarmer - welcome!! We've been waiting for you to come. We have lots of JM questions come up.
Nice photos.
So sorry Shokami, I had to put 2 of my dogs down, and I know how it feels. I am sure she/he had a good life with you and lots of good memories for you to remember.
Lots of hugs
^_^

Neo ~ Gorgeous! Love the photos. Poulsbo? Nice and close. Will you be joining us at Dragonfly next weekend? Always nice to meet people who are nearby (relatively speaking, of course!)
thank you all (((((((hugs))))))) to everyone!
still raining like crazy here................
Hi Shokami, So sorry about your kitty. 18 is a wonderful long life for a kitty, you must be a great "furmom".
Thanks for the calendar of events..,. I looked for anything over memorial day weekend but didn't see anything yet. I may be home during that last week of May.
Just got an email from my Dad complaining about cold weather!
I've been in Dallas (Waxahachie) for a little DG shindig..had a great time.
TJ, a guy who lives there had knocked on a few doors of places he thought had outstanding gardens and asked if he could bring the DG clan through, so we were able to see about 5 of the local gardens there...was a great time!

Shokami, I am so sorry for your loss! I had 2 siamese. Dusty is now 11 yrs old, but Misha turned 18 last summer and just disappeared this past winter :o( I think she went off to die alone.... She was really getting slugish toward the end of fall. Vet said she was healthy, just old. I hate it when pets just disappear, leaves you constantly wondering...
I'm also wondering if it is just siamese that live so long, or do most cats live to be 18-20 yrs old?
Shokami, I'm so sorry about your kitty. And Oneanjl, I had a precious cat just disappear last summer . . . he wasn't very old, though (not sure of his age, but under 10). I think a coyote got him . . . couldn't get him to come in that night and he had an asthma type problem which made it pretty hard for him to hide. Broke my heart.
BeaHive, your tulips are glorious!
Tilly, that baby is a doll - great photo!
Neofarmer, I ditto the welcomes!!!
Got my lawn mowed today and even a little weed whacking done. Looks much better and it felt good to be outside.
katie59, Thanks! but I don't know how much
help I will be with the JMs, I am certainly not an expert!
I fell in love with a super pink tree at one of the Vancouver
gardens, but the JM guy didn't know what it was.
The closest I have come is Shin de Shojo, but it is a bit
too magenta. The tree was 15 feet tall and perfectly pink!
outtamygourd, thanks! and what is dragonfly?
I probably will not be able to make it, as I have some
friends coming over this weekend to help me put up a greenhouse.
Also I am flying to Arkansas to visit my mom next week,
and gotta have a birthing stall ready for my Pygmy doe,
just in case.
tillysrat, thanks! I think I enjoy photographing the flowers
as much as I enjoy planting them.
I am up close to the Hood Canal bridge. And you?
Murmur, thanks!
Here is a photo of my SdS trying to burst forth.
I'll see if I can find the photo I took of the Vancouver tree.
