If the Azalea that I just got rooted makes it I will share with you once it gets big. :)
Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt. 20
Zone envy is a horrible thing, isn't it? Everything on your list is too big for the average frige. I have a bad case of tropical envy!
My lovely daughter just said-Mommy, I know how old you are, 73!!!!!! OMG I bout choked! LOL
ROTFLOL Why did she say that!?!?!?!
I asked MY mom once what it was like during the Civil War?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You two are too funny. My 5 year old thinks I am so old that he has been asking if I am going to die soon!!
I'm not sure, but I bet my jaw dropped to the floor!!! Shaun thought she said I was 33 and it was a compliment! LMAO!!!
OHHHHH what did your Mom say? LOL
OMG Marie!
It is hard not to bust a gut when he is so serious.
I bet! I couldn't help myself when Sienna did that, though!!!
Oh Marie!!! LOL MY mom got VERY offended and asked me how old I THOUGHT she was! I think I was about four. What do kids know.
Well I assured him I was not ready to kick the bucket anytime soon. This child has an old soul though and there was much thought put into his question.
Funny how we can spot the 'old souls', huh, Marie? They know so much.
All of my children are different but he really intrigues me.
Keep both eyes on him. He could lead you to great things!
Well, you "jabbermouths" certainly make it hard to get a word in edgewise! LOL
Gorgeous flowers, Marie, and precious kitties!
Kitties are so cute! You don't spoil yours at all do you, Celia?. By the way, that was quite a story about the guys who tried to kill the gophers! I wonder if they will have to pay the cost of all the damage they caused? $197,000 is pretty expensive for gopher eradication!
Spring is definitely here--at least in our area. The big oaks are just now starting to "bud" out, which means lots of yellow pollen, which means sneezing, sniffling and runny noses! That's the bad part. The good part is that the flowering trees, daffodils, tulips, flowering shrubs are either blooming or starting to bloom. Most of the Bradford Pears in the area have already bloomed. Dogwoods will be blooming soon. My roses are putting out new growth like crazy. They all appear to be very healthy and hopefully will be blooming in a few weeks.
Well, I have 60 petunias to plant so I better get busy.
Mau
This is my neighbor's Redbud in bloom. Those plumes at the bottom of the pic are pampas grass plumes--also in my neighbor's yard.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW we just got hit by a hail storm!!!
Sorry about the hail storm. Those rarely happen here.
Mau I love that tree!! I have 3 planted and they hate our heat so mine will never look like that!!
Oh it was cool, really. Sienna like it, too. :) The wind is what worries me the most since that Tornado just missed us a couple years back/
I think my kids would probably enjoy it too. Tornados scare me. I have been in one and on the outer edges of one.
My crazy son walked out in it! LOL
My neighbor has a redbud but he doesn't take care of it. It got winterburn last year and he just left it.
Yeah, tornadoes! Fun...NOT!!!!!
What is winterburn? Love those muscari!!
Boy oh boy you all are chatty today :)) I've been on the run constantly this week so far, and I have to go back to Steubenville again. Also have to get the dog we keep for friends into the vet this week. Sigh... it never ends.
Sounds like Spring is springing out everywhere. I saw a ground hog yesterday, and that is a sure sign of spring here. I expect at least one more good snow though, probably right after all the trees and stuff bud out LOL
I've decided that the yard is just gonna have to suffer this year, as much as I want to get started on the gardens here, I've got too much work left to do inside the house, and we haven't yet decided whether or not we are going to add on to the house or move. I don't want to start the gardens and move, or worse, start them and them get trampled in the renovations. Mike bought this house after it had been foreclosed on, and got it for a song.... he says "cheaper than most used cars" so the addition we want (and need) will actually cost us more than he paid for the house. I'm gonna probably do a couple flats of annuals and some containers, but no perennials until we decide what we are doing.
Called the school my son is enrolled in yesterday ( its an online school here in Ohio) about enrolling Tori. Her doctor and I discussed it, and decided it is worth trying for a year, as the school she is in isn't working out for us at all. There is a waiting list for special Ed kids though, so it will probably be next school year before she starts doing that. I'd like to get her in sooner, but I guess she'll have to finish out the year here as we are now.
Well, its about time to leave for the bus stop.. so I'll leave you with a funny from my baby Bubby (he is 6). Mike and I were talking last night, joking around about having a baby (its NOT gonna happen LOL) and Bubby says "You can't have a baby". Mike says, "No she is gonna have triplets" (God forbid!!). Then Mike asked bubby "do you know how many babies triplets would be? Bubby says, "yea, 13"!!!!! LMAO OMG can you imagine??
Hugs to all,
Janis
Hey, Janis: Just watch "Jon and Kate plus 8"
on TLC on Monday nights and you will change your mind about having 13!!! LOL
Tammy, if you had a sure enough really, real hail storm you better call your insurance agent and have them send someone out to check your roof. No kidding!
Celia, you talking about getting the grape hyacinths closer together or the little yellow flowers?
Marie, redbuds survive our summers here and we sometimes get up into the 100's but probably not for as long as you guys do.
Well, I just came in to get something cold to drink and to rest for a minute. Back to planting those petunias!
Oh Janis, aren't kids such a hoot!
Mau, they were about the size of two peas, so I hope everything is ok. The green house faired well at least! :)
I've seen that Jon and Kate plus 8, Mau... NO THANKS! LOL My 3 here at home are more than enough. Babies are cute and nice, as long as they go home with someone else LOL I am past the "I want a baby" stage. I'll just look at other peoples, and be thankful I'm past that :))
I can't imaging starting with a baby again.... sleepless nights diapers.. yuck LOL Mine are all in school now....and I love it.
I aske dmy 5 yr old if he wanted another baby at the house. His answer was "I do not think we want another baby mom. They make too much noise"
Another good reason Marie!! LOL
Yeah we were admiring a baby that was at my daughters dance practice. I am with you Janis love "other" peoples babies.
DITTO! Love everyone elses babies and send em home!
Oh boy! No babies here, either!!! LOL
Yes, Mau, the daffy's and the hyacuinth need to be closer together. The colors are great side-by-side..
Marie, winterburn is when it gets too cold for something and 'burns' the top, killing that part but doesn't kill the plant. It happened to my little red maple the same year.
Yeah but I am not permanetly keeping her!1 I get to enjoy and give her back. That Beckie is the beauty of being an Auntie!!
How cute is that little face!!! Okay, that's enough. Send her home! LOL
I could keep her forever if her mommy would let me!!!!!!! she is such a good girl.
LOL I agree with Celia... how cute.. time to go LOL I'm just too set in my ways to have a baby around full time anymore
ok, I'll keep her here and at her mommy's............I can tell you this, I had forgotten what it was like to have a baby around the house......and now I'm already preparing for when she is crawling and getting into everything. Haven't had to worry about that since my son was little, and he is 16 now.
Oh I bet. My neighbor has an 18 month old... when they are here.. I"m constantly chasing Emmy around, "no, here give me that, oh Emmy don't touch that, hey Emmy put that back"
LOL
