Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt. 20

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, Celia. I'm up early too, only you are an hour behind me so you are up even earlier! I have clean -up to do in the yard, too. The weather here is
just beautiful--heading for a high in the 70's, hopefully, and sunshine. Yesterday was a perfect Spring-like day. I went to Wall-Mart and bought 60 petunias (10 of those 6-packs)--30 yellow and 30 purple. I'll set them out today.

I gotta go get my 2nd cup of coffee and a banana....have to pick my DGD up at 8:30 at her church. This is spring break week for our local kids. Her church youth group had a lock-in last night for the girls. She probably didn't get much sleep--LOL--but unfortunately she can't go home and sleep because she is helping this week a couple of ladies with their "Pony camp", teaching younger children how to ride. She is earning riding lessons by helping out at the camp.

Y'all have a good day. Be back later.

Mau

P.S. Pau used to have a motorcycle but he sold it several years ago, thank goodness! He said there were too many crazy motorists on the road these days!

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, Mau. I had a boyfriend who had a motorcycle. (D had one once, too) He came home from a bar one time and said, " Did you know my bike will go 120mph in teh canyon?" WHAT!?!?!?!?! 120mph after going to the BAR!!!!!!! We broke up shortly after that.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

LOL, Celia--you certainly didn't need a boyfriend like that!!

Mau

(Zone 7a)

Nope. Nice and stable for me! ☺

Waterman, IL(Zone 5a)

My DH bought a little Suzuki motorcycle a couple years ago. He drove it just a few times and decided he didn't want to die. Now it's been sitting in our barn covered with dust for two years. What a waste of money. Men!

(Zone 7a)

☺ They never seem to outgrow the bikes, do they?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I haven't outgrown them, just don't got one! LOL

Mau, Shaun says he concurs-there are still MANY idiots out there today and prob more!

Morning all!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Good morning all!! Janice I was so glad to see you posting. My birth mother is exactly as your mom was. Men were always chosen above my little brother and I. I have been blessed with another mom. She has passed away and I felt sorry for her because her choices were often really bad one. what matters now is that you are a good mom and you know your priorities. I want to see a picture of the new Tat please d-mail when you ahve them.

I have been so busy with family stuff there seems to be no time to keep up with all of the threads I am watching.

How is every one's gardens? Mine is going gangbusters right now.

Here is the latest picture of our kitty babies.

Marie, I just read your gopher story, you get a gun yet?!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

No but I will soon!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

LOL I think I would if it were me, that was horrible what that little buger was doing to your plants!!!

(Zone 7a)

I think that looks like a variety of Calif. poppy!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

This is a constant in my life a plant will be fine one day and dead the next. I really need my dh to irrigate and I have to find this contraption we had that you poke it down in the tunnels and it leaves poison in there for them. They used to sell it at HD but they do not carry it any longer!!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

You are correct Celia. My first plant to grow from seed!! I have several colors happening right now.

(Zone 7a)

Okay. Need, want, must have!!!! LOL

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

If I get seed I will be happy to send you some.

(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Marie!☺ It's light enough now I can work outside.

Been out working in the yard-pulling up Lamium! It is invasive here IMO!!!

(Zone 7a)

I cut down some of the reed. Yuck!!! I attacked what I thought was a new clump but what did I discover? Tulips!!! I didn't plant 'em where I found 'em! Yea! Can't wait to see what color they are. Or even if they bloom. Do tulips bloom from seed the first year? Or maybe the bulb was underground and found that conditions were right?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

COOL! Can't answer your question, though, sorry. That is why I was pulling the Lamium cause it was interfering with all the bulbs we planted last Fall.

(Zone 7a)

Everything is waking up out there. It's so nice. Buds all over the place.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Wow I had to look that one up Tammy. Nice plant youhave tog et rid of. Congratulation on the Tulip find Celia. I just found on coming up that I do not remeber planting. I am sure it is a species of some sort as none of the others could survive here.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Isn't it a shame, Marie! It really is pretty, but when my Bulbs can't come through it, then its gotta go! LOL I didn't plant this, but it is everywhere!!! I have one in a pot that is pretty cool, but I am giving it to someone else that really likes them after pulling all this out! LOL

(Zone 7a)

I'm just glad I looked closer before I cut! It looked like the reed when first coming up. Lamium is good in small quantities, huh, Tammy?

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Sometime I wish Ilived in other climates. youa ll can grow some pretty cool stuff that does not stand a chance here.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Yup, in a pot it might be ok, but when its everywhere, NO! LOL
Marie, what is it you like that we have that you can't? If it is small enough you could put it in a fridge! :)

(Zone 7a)

Yes. What is it you want? ☺

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Tulips ,Forsythe (sp) cherry trees, Azeleas (sp), dogwoods,Acers, silenes, trilliums, iris fulva (this one might make it here) red buckeye, paw paw Columbines etc....

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I might have some Columbine seeds left, Marie. :)

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

They only grow here as an annual. I would not even be able to try until fall and my luck with seeds is not very good.
