Hey everyone :)) Miss me? LOL I have missed all of you..... alot!!! I have been trying to read and catch up, but I think I just needed a break for a while. Between the crapola with my mom, my BIL sick, and having Gayle and her daughter here, things were just too much of a mess in the "real world" for me to have computer time. So quick update. Mom is marrying the creep, who has gotten 5-18 years of one count of robbery and he has been indicted on 2 more counts, but I'm not sure when he goes to court for those. I'm really hoping they nail him as a "habitual offender" as he was only out of prison 44 days when he was re-arrested. Mom has decided to completely cut me and mine (except my17 year old) out of her life, since we don't agree with her decision to marry him. I was really really hurt by this, and alot of the reason I haven't been around is because of that. I'm better now, just took some time. This isn't the first time she has let a man in her life damage our relationship. I have come to terms with the fact that I am not as important to her as my sister, or as my kids are to me. I'm tired of being hurt by her. So, I'm just letting go of it, and moving on. I don't need people in my life that hurt me over and over. There are too many good people in my life to leave the bad there to haunt me.

Gayle (for those of you that have been here at DG for a while you might know her as morning_gayle) was here for a week with her daughter Jenna, and we had a blast!! It was wonderful to be able to spend time with her again. She and I actually met here on DG in the chat room, and hung out for a long time together on the Coffee and... thread in the Parking Lot. That progressed to daily phone calls, then after almost 3 years, we met face to face last July when she bought me plane tickets to go see her in Iowa for my birthday! We went to Olgebay Park, to the Mansion Museum, and tried to go to the Delf Norona museum in Moundsville WV, (an indian mound museum) but got there at closing time. We went to see Trace Atkins and Bill Engvall in concert, and did alot of shopping and dinners out. Oh, and we got matching tattoos and I finally picked out my bridesmaid dress for Jess' wedding. I can't post the picture of the tats here, as it would violate the AUP, but if anyone wants to see them, dmail me and I'll send the pic :)) The day before she got here, we finally got the vinyl tile done in the kitchen, and it looks wonderful!! I'm so pleased with how it turned out. I'll get pictures soon, my adopted daughter and her girlfriend's dog had puppies 2 weeks ago, and they have my camera right now. I'll post puppy pictures too :)

Mau, I'll get you a pic of the chandelier as soon as I can. I can't find the silly thing on the Lowes website. There is also a matching hanging light with 2 globes that we didn't order, because I would like to put it over my sink, but we weren't sure if it would fit. We came home and measured it, and we have 3 inches to spare, so we have to go back and order it also. I feel kind of strange spending almost $500 on lighting fixtures for my kitchen, but Mike (boy oh boy do I love him) says that its my kitchen and if that is what I want, then we'll do it. So I can't wait now to see it all done. :))

I'll post pics of my dress as soon as I can too. Its beautiful. The poor sales girl didn't know how to react to me and Jess and Gayle LOL The bridesmaids don't have to have the same dress, just as long as they are apple colored satin, so I got to go try on about 20 dresses LOL I don't own a dress, (well 1 now) or dress pants... not even khakis. I have very nice "dressy" jeans that I wear to go out in, but I am not a dress up kind of girl at all. We walked into the bridal shop, and Jess got her sales girl (each bride has 1 girl assigned to her to avoid confusion) and she asked me what I was looking for.... I told her I wanted to see the "least girly dress" they had LOL I ended up with a very "girly" dress, but it is beautiful. Its got a lot of beading on the bodice and is strapless. I never thought I could wear a strapless dress, as I'm not very well endowed at all but they also sold me this evil contraption that pushes everything that I guess should be up there back to where it belongs LOL I put it on and about fell over... kind of OMG where did those come from??? LOL I treid it on for Mike when I got home and I will give him credit for not laughing at me in it, but he said it isn't me at all. I just don't look the dressy part I guess. They also tried to sell me makeup to cover my tattoos for the wedding, and Jess jumped in and said.. no one in the wedding party will be covering tattoos. LOL So it will be a colorful wedding to say the least :)

Tammy how are the puppies? Mau how is Pau and his back? Celia, I love the new furniture! I know I'm missing people I promise to be better about posting from now on.

Janis, YES we missed you!!! So sorry to hear about all this with your mother! I don't have much of a relationship with mine, but nothing to what you have at all. :( Hopefully she will come to her senses and realize HER FAMILY is more important!!! Other than that, it sounds like you have been having a wonderful time with friends and family, and you sure needed, and deserved it!!! The puppies are growing like bad weeds and ornery as ever! Please stick around this time, and please do Dmail me pics of the new tats!

Hey, Janis. Glad you are back. Enjoyed the newsy post but so sorry to hear about your mom's decision to not only marry the bad guy but to cut you out of her life. What sort of future can she possibly have with a man who could be in prison for a very long time? And how can she justify cutting off her relationship with her daughter and grandkids? I just don't understand that at all and I'm not really asking you for answers to those questions--just thinking out loud, as it were.

I'm so glad you have a good friend like Gayle--she sounds like a true friend, indeed.Okay, you must get your camera back SOON because we must have a pic of you in that dress, not to mention the "new bosom"--LOL Even if the dress "isn't you", I rather imagine you look wonderful in it. And don't forget to post pics of the new kitchen.

Thanks for asking about Pau. His back was doing somewhat better until we installed that wood laminate flooring in our friend's bedroom last week. He was down on his hands and knees for 4 days, not to mention having to get up and down a lot. Yesterday and today he has been in quite a bit of pain. He has slept most of today. However, installing the floor was a labor of love for an 87 year old woman who is like a second mother to us and we wouldn't have it any other way. All the aches and pains are worth it to have been able to do that for her.

I need to go cut my hair. Talk to you girls tomorrow. Everyone have a good evening.

LOL We are waiting on the back rest for his Harley. Just got the new seat so I can ride, but I gotta have a "SISSY BAR"! He hates me calling it that! LOL

He knows I love it cause I pretty much told him the other day when he drove it in and today when I was talking about it.

I would love to own a bike also but my main problem is I have no place to store it. No garage or carport and no place to build one. And of course the only bike I would own would be Harley. No others so that also makes it impossible cause I can't afford them!! LOL

He rides a chopper then. Shaun's is a sportster. He got a good deal on his or he wouldn't have one either! LOL

Ahhhhh the wind in your hair(under a helmet) We have not even cranked our Harley in 3 years. We have a badboy softtail. They only made it three years. We keep saying we are going to sell it but never do.

i owe a bunch of money (to me. maybe not to you.) that i didn't know i owed. And now i have penalties and interest too.
Tomorrow i am going to the IRS office to find out if i can work some payment plan out.
(Mind you, this is for a year when my total income was under $15,000!)

Any money going to someone else, especially the IRS, is a lot to me, so I sure do feel for ya!

Just look at it this way, it's better than owing $11,987!!!!!!!!!
Try making that phone call to the person that owes it..............it's never easy having to tell someone they owe, but to have to give an astronomical amout is not at all pretty. Especially if they seem totally clueless as to why they would owe so much!

The IRS will work with you and let you make payments. But in some instances the interest will continue to be tacked on. Your tax advisor should have plenty of information on it.
