i am from St. Louis, lived in east-central TN, spent a lot of time in Louisville and some in New Orleans.
Somehow i have been stuck in the NE for almost SIX years now. But i'll make a break for more civilized, southern lands sooner or later..
Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - It's spring!
I turn *whisper* 4-0 this year...my parts DEFINITELY looked better in 1988.
My parts looked better in 2001..! Then i settled down (and so did my parts).
(We won't tell anyone, Pam.)
Amy - watch those northern dis comments!
Oh, Pam........you'll love being 40!! It's a great decade! Very liberating actually! As Harper can tell you, we'll help you through it!! LOL
Harper's not there yet!!
*tee hee*
To quote JB...I'm growing older, but not up.
As is, apparently, Victor. :P :)
I sometimes think one of my parts is someone following me! LOL
Absolutely, Pam!
I know it, but Harper is the best example of someone who has had loyal, continuous birthday acknowledgment - even at her tender, youthful age!
You're all hilarious tonight - just what I need after a rough day of work.
Join the party, Deb!
I asked DH if he was going to trade me in for two twenties when I turned 40, and he sighed and said he couldn't keep up with ONE woman, let alone two.
pam (who can only type and hit refresh every 5-10 minutes, as my three year old is demanding my COMPLETELY UNDIVIDED attention this evening)
Let me note that I am simultaneously too young and too old to have a three year old!
Ha - I used that line when my wife turned 40, Pam. I know the feeling with the kids. My younger guy - six - is still very demanding.
Pam - if you play your cards right, your 3-year-old might just raise you right!!
A snow shovel is a shovel that breaks at just the right time... when you've just discovered that 4 foot of snow or better fell on the driveway, hiding your car while you were tucked in bed fast asleep.... punny Saturns.
~* Robin
Yes, I'm hoping he puts me in a good home. :)
Snow???? 75 and sunny here this week...neener neener neener...
I sweah...no wondah ah fit riot in hyere.....y'all aren't even nahtive Nawtheasternahs! Even Amy spent time in Louval and mid Tennahsee.
See, Laurel....told ya they talked funny, too.
and Victor, have you forgotten the shirtless pose on the staircase in the article????? Duhhhhhh....
Robin, that is nature's way of saying, Go back to bed.
I beg to differ!!! I am a Yankee's Yankee, born and bred. *ahem* I just happen to live in WV, that's all.
Wicked pissah, y'all.
i just spent a week in Houston at a conference, and amongst all the Texans, and the many other Southerners in attendence, my Tennessee accent came back so fast!
Shirtless pose on the staircase??? Now I'm intrigued...assuming, of course, it's of pre-1988 vintage...
(DS is momentarily intrigued by Sesame Street)
OMG Pam, obviously your husband doesn't watch TV. Otherwise he could get a full head of hair and...never mind...la la la Phuggins. But what do I know? I spend
Saturday night in the country listening to Prairie Home Companion!
We had an 11 y.o., only child (same marriage), and then two tax deductions in ''86 (9 1/2 month apart). Don't ask, but I was so much older than, I'm younger than that now. Swear that's what must account for my attitude and passion for blues.
I saw a way back post about the Airplane. My DH did the poster for thei Miami concert. It was a hand pulled silkscreen. Can you believe he never saved a single one? I've just started looking on ebay.
9 1/2 months apart?!! Wow - I'll refrain from commenting...
I have to tell you, my kids yelled at me tonight when i posted a comment, I got up from the table and came to see all of our silly talks, Love it, Question, it seems that Victorgarden is a favorite isn't he??? cLEMEN
A favorite what?
Never liked him myself.
everyone's favorite cellmate?
Oh, yeah, that.
Not even that.

Can't say. I'm new here and out on a day pass.

Hey!
Where'd everyone go?
I just walk through the door, and everyone disappears!
I took a shower - really!!
I've only got about 20 minutes to play here.
I'm still here but don't know me, I am new to all of this nuttiness! If that word exists!!!
CLemen
It certainly does exist. Well, at least here!
So, Candyce, how cold is your weather there today. We are going up to 60 tomorrow, cannot believe it, better start doing the lawn first, then the flower beds and then thinning the perennials, I ahve promise freebies to a few nuts from the site! CLemen
Maybe they all took a shower, Candyce.
