Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - It's spring!

Yes and a 3 phase line, not the cheap 110 volts.

She said the puppy was not hurt. Boy, I hope that guy does hurt for a long long time.

Im partial to pekes. One little male I had in San Diego attacked the Weimeriener accross the street. I had to pull him out of the W's mouth.
Pekes have no idea they are so little. I had that dog --- Pogo was his name --- for 20 years.

GRRRR!

I have thought we were witty and talented. Go look at the Trash to Treasures forum. Especially the dragonflies and bowling balls. OMG.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

My talent is in turning treasure into trash.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Enough of this trash talking!

My kindergartener had his first t-ball game tonight. When we were getting ready, I explained why he was wearing a cup - to protect his wee-wee. He jumped up and down, yelling, 'Yay!!' Was pretty funny.

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

One thing about 5 yr olds - they are easily entertained!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

True. He had a great time at the game. Every kid runs after the ball no matter where it's hit.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Wearing a cup at t-ball?

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Some guys never get past that level of delight in their wee wees.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Amy - that's hysterical and true!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm sure he gets it from me - hee hee. Yes, Dave. Some of these kids can really hit already. When my older guy played, a kid got hit and was in real pain.

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

Amy! I was ROFL at that one!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Victor ~
When my granddaughter started playing T-ball, it looked like one mad scrum when the ball got hit off the T. It was hilarious, and I got some memorable photos.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, it's more like the breaking of a pinata!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Yes, it is!

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

whew!
i was trying to think of a way to say that without getting into too much trouble...

Greensboro, AL

I heard a commercial on the radio while I was driving into the city today (Tuscaloosa). Bob had a sinus infection. His sympathetic wife suggested they go to Hardies where they have a superburger served with an extra strength jalapeno pepper.

Bob then said. 'Its so wonderful to be able to breathe' (presumably after he ate the extra strength jalapeno and burger.

Jalapenos any one?

Sure how many pint jars do you want? I think I have quart jars also.

You got on Jalapenos. Yes I grow them. If you get the Burpee seeds watch the packages as some just say Jalapeno and then some will say Jalapeno M.

Greensboro, AL

Is the Jalapeno M hotter or not so hot.

I have been growing japones. I put them in just about everything except my oatmeal.

I think the M stands for Medium. It took me a year to catch that M grrrrrr

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

A Jalapeno or two (cut up) does wonders for a jar of pickles. Just let it rest in the refrigerator for a week and then enjoy them.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Clears their sinuses??

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Hi All, I was sent here (probably evicted) from other DG fora because I've been told my idea of humor requires a dictionary. So, what's the problem? Anyway, I hope you will take me in. What I've read of this thread sounds inspiring, but I can't cover it all. Smoke is now coming out of this old machine.

BTW, I grow and can all kinds of peppers, so can I come play here?

MaypopLaurel

Greensboro, AL

Maypop: Do you use your peppers to cure sinus infections?

I think you have to have your hat in your hand to come over here.

You never know what might happen. Sometimes they post here just up up the post count.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Hi Maypop!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Hi, Maypop. Welcome to the NE forum.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

You gotta be careful, Maypop. These folks talk funny.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maypop, you're certainly welcome here! Gloria, we don't stoop to those measures, unless absolutely necessary.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You list Cleveland and Atlanta as home. Are you having trouble deciding??!

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Welcome, Maypop!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Hello Maypop and welcome. We like dictionaries.

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Well thanks for the 200,000 Scoville welcome Pirl and Primrose. Gloria I'm still trying to figure out how to use a neti pot my daughter left here. Have not moved on to peppers. I think drugs work best for true sinus infections and apparently, according to ya'll, certain types of creative writing.

Sharran, I'll keep one eye on the Plotthound hound and one on these folks. Lordy Lou they can keep you going here!

Okay, Victor, the ruse is up. Born and raised on Miami Beach, family from New York. Atlanta has been home for thirty seven years. Country cottage, seventeen acres, little pond and veggie/flower garden in the Appalachian foothills (Cleveland, GA) for nineteen years. You called me...I've been having an almost twenty year identity crisis. Substantial living or subsistence living. Sigh.

Thanks

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Best thing for the sinuses is to place a jalapeno in one nostril while you pour the neti into the other one.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Victor!! He's just teasing Maypop. Welcome to the NE forum!!!

Sharran, you talk just as funny as we do, so just admit it. You're one of the NE nuts. Wouldn't have you talking funny anywhere else.

Harper

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Welcome maypoplaurel, nice to have you aboard
Jo Ann

Victor what size nostril do you have? Geesh I can only imagine.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Welcome MaypopLaurel!!
We are more than happy to have you, just take Victor with a grain of salt....or a jalapeno!

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Went back and read this entire thread. Think I started around 6:30 am. Where's the form at the bottom for my diploma?

Schickenlady, Trash to Treasure is one of my favorites. Started my first bowling ball this past week. I have Sendak costumes, DH's packing crate box and his birdhouses posted there. Those folks are wicked creative (picked up that term in exchange for DD's outrageous tuition at a Girls Gone Wild New England college).

BTW, when do you folks garden or is it still snowing up there?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not here - spring has sprung! Can you give me the address to that college?
