Thanks for the link, Allison. They are beautiful. Are they similar to Gazania?
Spring NE Roundup - Saturday June 28th
bigger both wider & taller.... and perennial .... one of my longest bloomers..... i keep dead heading it usually till the end of September... then let it go to seed to start some new ones
Oh!
Then I will definitely have to get some of those! I fell in love with the Gazania, but, alas, they are annuals.
Very nice, Allison.
As Will Smith once said ... "I gotta get me one of these!"

Do you realize that I am the 501 response to this thread . . . any chance of a new thread, Kassia?
Hi all,
I'm new to DG and was looking into the NE forum and saw this thread. I couldn't help laughing over the lawn. I live in a wooded area near the ocean, kind of rural. My grass is brown until August when it's nice and green and nothing more than good old Northeastern crab. I don't think there is any real grass in the yard. I have a well for water and all I can spare goes on the gardens. Who cares what the grass looks like as long as the flowers are beautiful.
Welcome Donna!
Welcome, Donna, will we meet you on the 28th?
Welcome to the Northeast Garden, Donna. I hope you can make it to the shindig at Kassia's on the 28th.
Welcome Donna!

Oooo, I love foxglove.
I have not started a new thread... following this... just one for the food and Celeste started one for the plants... I think it's enough don't you guys???
I don't think so.
I think some folks are having a hard time reading this thread because it's getting so long, Kassia!
Here is a link to the picture of the RU last June. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/739113/ This should give you an idea of the informailty of it all.
ok... I will start a new one... and ask Dave to make a sticky....
Maybe at least un-sticky it....
