Dishwasher kills lots of things - sterilizes toothbrushes and baby bottles, for example.

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

Victor,
I use very hot water, sometimes when I open the door to throw in another pot or something garden related i.e.little tools or bucket steam comes out.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh, Melissa - I will be so happy to meet you in person! How are your seedlings doing?

Metrowest, MA(Zone 6a)

They are doing great thank you for asking. Looks like all but one of the 80+ jugs I did have germinated. Now to wait for the smaller ones to put into the ground. Looking forward to meeting you too! :)

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Looking forward to a new thread, too..?

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Amy, you can make it! Go for it! -Carrie

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Hi,
you guys are in for a treat... my roses are starting to really show off their "gorgeousness"... see I am so happy I am creating a new word!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

My roses - such as they are (2 small, climbers, all wild and crazy) - appreciate the sun today. Not gorgeous, but pretty.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Oh Kassia!

Anna and I were so surprised to see four buds on our Memorial Day Tea Rose yesterday! I don't know why they call it 'Memorial Day', as it blooms nearer to the 4th of July. And it's pink ~ not red.

But it's the one rose bush we have managed to keep alive for three seasons, and we are in love with it!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

post pics... I don;t have that one...see you guys can do it!!!!

Pipersville, PA(Zone 6b)

Hi there! I can't figure out if I'm NorthEast or Mid-Atlantic. . . I'm in beautiful Bucks County, PA, about an hour north of Philadelphia.

Am wondering if there'd be any interest in getting a plant swap RoundUp together in this area?? I haave a great property and might be able to host such an event, if there is an interest.

I guess first I should find out if I'm in the right group, right?

Namaste- Suz

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Suz,

I think I would start a new thread for a Pennsyvania RU - there are regulars on the NE forum from your area who may not look at this thread.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Hi Suz, I love Bucks County! Ahhh, so beautiful. You're so close to NJ too, I'd add that state in there on that thread you start.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

:(

I know... but hey.... I have traveled across the country to meet people in CA!!!!! so I am still thinking that I am the one that has travelled the farthest to attend a RU!!!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

don't think you can get further unless it's out of the country

:)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Oh Kassia! You and pirl look so sweet! I.m so glad you had a wonderful, memorable, visit!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

ok... I have travelled the furthest... everyone can try to beat my record!!!! :)

Candyce it was really cool... we had a great time... she is a great woman... love her... oh I learned things about planting irises, she checked mine to see if they were correct, Jack showed me few things about the Mantis, and how to split hostas etc... really cool... Wish she was coming for the RU!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Oh, I wish she was coming, too. I would be so honored to meet her.

Metrowest, MA(Zone 6a)

Only a couple of years into gardening so I dont have much to share at this point. I do however have a few Strawberry Begonias that I can bring. Also hopefully some of my WS containers seedlings will be big enough to share by then.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

There's a chance we just might make it to your RU, Kassia. A lot would depend on the weather and a few other things.

We had a great time with Kassia and just loved her gardens. Her roses and gardens are so wonderful! We also met her mom and one of her sisters (Carla) and Victor, Kassia's nephew, not THE VICTOR! We loved every minute, Kassia, and loved meeting sweet Deb (Tamberlin), too!

Pipersville, PA(Zone 6b)

Hmmmmm . . . Seandor and Sofonisba, thanks for your encouragement, but I have no idea of how to do that. I'm entirely new at these threads and don't seem to know how to navigate them very efectively.

I had an email from someone who told me to look in the 'Roll Call'- where would I find that?

Suz

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Kassia - I hope it's not too late to accept your invitation. I wasn't sure if DH would be willing to come so I never mentioned it until this morning. He is so excited! He says you all sound like such wonderful people. He has heard me going on about DG for months now and would really love for us to come on the 28th. Can you Dmail me directions?

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

absolutely!!!!! no you are not late!!!! come over!!!! well, this weekend I think it will be the best weekend ever... literally I think I have 1000 roses opened... oh so gorgeous, the garden still being worked on it, but the roses make me forget the mess in some areas..

.... I will dmail you directions...

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Suz, would you like me to start a thread for you? Or I could take you through it step by step. After you get it, it's really pretty easy.

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Thanks Kassia! I really don't have any plants to offer, but how about some brownies from scratch! They are sinful.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh Nanegoat...I want to sin!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Me too! Me too! Bring the brownies!

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Sin it is!! Plenty for all.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Wheeeeee!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hi all.....I've been out of touch because my computer crashed.....I'm now using my DH's computer, but I miss being able to catch up on DG every day. To be precise....I singlehandedly "fried my motherboard". I really didn't think I had it in me to do such a violent thing, but the Geek Squad did not seem shocked at my abilities!

Kassia and Pirl - what a nice picture! Can't wait to meet you both, and everyone else too. Kassia, would you please dmail me directions to your house? We'll be coming from the Mass Pike. We'll pick it up in Worcester. Thanks so much! I now have about 20 plants to bring.

I'll be reading threads quickly and not writing much until I get my unfried computer back. I'm up to my ears in gallant soldier weeds again in the veggie garden. We have decided that we will have to do a daily Gallant Soldier Blitz every morning right after our walk in order to keep up.

Good night for now!
Louise

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Uh oh. That doesn't sound good Louise. Good luck getting it fixed.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I need directions too.... and if anyone needs a ride from north jersey on up.... just let me know
