Slidell, LA(Zone 8b)

just press alt 2 6 - cordele was just saying that an "arrow" or "→" equals "=" alt 2 6 or vice versa. I find that I have to use the number keys on the side to do it - the ones above the letters don't seem to work

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

HERE's my nekkid girl. oh this is going to be so much fun. thank you pupil and paws. i am forever in your debt.

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Da Law, a monster has been created. This could be LOTS of fun!!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear in showing you. No equal sign, just press alt and the 25 at the same time. I just used the equal sign to tell you that's how to get the down arrow.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

2662 i can't get this to work with the alt key. lol. i don't need the = sign. that's good. 6262☻☻>222>>>☻♠62> can;t do that.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Slidell, LA(Zone 8b)

I love free cell but also play backgammon alot too

Warren, OH(Zone 5b)

Could be Kathy - never thought of that

I tried playing canasta in one of those yahoo game rooms. My keyboard locked up some how and they kicked me off. I haven't tried again. They are some serious players in some of those game rooms. No patience for newbies at all. I just play solitaire by myself. Sometimes my other self beats me. LOL

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

i was NOT trying to have fun. where are the newbies? get some of pupil's callas while you can. i have been asked to negotiate all trades so let's get it on.

Northeast, LA(Zone 8a)

I can't do any that fancy stuff on my laptop never tried on the desktop since the chair in there hurts my behind too bad to play.

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

What have I done?!? :^0

Mama, I teach you how to post pics and this is my reward? You will trade my callas? NOOOOOO.....That said, I do have many, many other bulbs that I can trade. The only problem is, I don't know what they are!!!

This leads into a great plant trade question. We moved in this house in May, but I was on the road until the end of July. So, basically, I didn't get to see anything bloom in the yard until now. The daffs are sooo dense, hardly any had blooms and those that did were killed by a frost. I have pictures of two different types, both doubles and possibly historical. I have contacted the daff society, but the need better pics, which I can't get because NO MORE ARE BLOOMING. I will be moving within the next month or so and I am going to dig up as many as possible. That being said, I could also trade them, but don't have confidence in the names. I do have pics, BUT both kinds were blooming in the same area, so I could not, with absolute certainty, tell you which ones you would get. Heck, there might be 5 or 6 different kinds that just didn't bloom. Now, master of photos, how would I trade those? Assorted daffs? Possibly Tahiti and Mt Sion?

This does not include the multitude of unknown bulbs I have dug up. Some are almost baseball size. Some are the red lycoris above, but I couldn't tell ya which. Surprise bulb pkg? Newbie needing advice here! What if I trade them and find out they are some very rare bulb that I could retire on (there are that many if the price was right)?

On a completely different note, somewhat, I was in my basement where all my plants were overwintered. I picked up a bag full of unsorted stuff I got at plant show, flyers, magazines, etc. I had cleaned out my truck when it was totaled in a wreck and just stuck it down there. When I opened it just a few minutes ago, what do I find???? A bulb was stuck in there. A voodoo lily I bought at the sale. It got thrown in with the other items. When I bought it, it was just a round bulb, but now.....

Excuse the dirty floor. This is my planting area.

bulbs just amaze me. how long's it been down there?

pupil on your bulbs...just title it mixed daffs and lycoris...then in the body say what they might be and say you;re not sure which is which. that's it. just total honesty just like you used here. there will be people who want that very thing. i know a lady in calif. who would love the daffs as she is wanting to do the whole front of her property in drifts of daffs. she doesn't care a hoot what kind they are. but the daff foliage is going to die back eventually. then the lycoris foliage will stand out . that's one way you can tell. lycoris foliage will go dormant too here in the hot, hot summer but it is usually still up after the daffs.

Mamajack®

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Perfect, Pupil! She's a great trademark! And then He threw the mold away! Gotta love her!

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hi all! Thanks Mamajack for starting this post. I'd have to say that I consider myself still a newbie. For the first 2 years I lurked. Trying to absorb all the wealth of knowledge from all you "oldtimers", and it was a little intimidating to jump into the trading pool when I didn't know that much about growing plants, let alone, shipping them. Last year I did my first trades. I think 2 or 3 trades, and I held my breath until I got a response that they arrived O.K. I just sent out my first trade this year today. And I still got that same feeling. Excitement with a little fear thrown in. I look forward to being an "oldtimer" myself one day. The generosity here is truely wonderful and I appreciate knowing that if I need a little help, I know that I can find some. Thanks, Andrea

Citra, FL(Zone 9a)

jumping along..pupil, how did all those daylilies I sent you last summer do?

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

did you see that paws? i'm a trademark. how does she do that stuff? lol. and look what you and pupil taught me to do.

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

Mamajack, were you still looking for a luna pink swirl hib. I can try to root one when they come up for you this year. I think it got too late last year or we forgot or something like that. I new your name looked familiar though :-)

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

mygypsy, i might be. i really want kopper king and plum crazy. you got those? i had one last year that was seed started and was luna swirl supposedly. for the life of me i can't remember anything about it. i always have too many plants and too little ground so i am always digging.

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

No, those are the only ones that I have that are named. I have a white one with the red eye but that one is pretty standard. If they don't come out for you, let me know. I'll look out for those at my local farming nursurys, It's amazing what I can find sometimes. Andrea

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

for whatever reason i never see different hardy hibiscus here. a plant that would grow easily here and they don't have them available usually. i did find peppermint schnapps last year but not the others. instead we get camellias. who can grow a camellia around here?

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

I think the trademark is perfect!! There will always be only ONE Mamajack!!

Mama, that bulb has been in the bag for since March 2nd. Isn't that AMAZING!! I still haven't potted it, as I don't know HOW!! Gotta figure that one out today. LOL.

4paws, Here is a little bed by the mailbox I did with those dayliles and some others I have. DON'T laugh!! This was when I first started gardening and had NO idea how big the foliage was. I have just left them there, since they will be dug up soon anyway. ☺♥☼

IGNORE the weeds!! I keep them somewhat cleared, but I refuse to weed and put my heart into a yard that I won't have soon!! He doesn't care a lick about gardening or the yard, so why should I do all the cleanup when He is moving in and I am leaving. I have too much digging to do!! HAHAHA

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

oooh, I love camellias. They're rarely hardy to zone 6. I have one here that is. Where I live really pushes zone 7, so you know how it goes. I'm always in zone denial anyways :-) I'll keep you in mind when I'm out "running errands". Nobody wants to go when it sounds boring. :-)
