Hee hee.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 15
It's 33 & the wind is fierce----dogs will not venture out--so much for raking the lawn today! Nice sunrise, Pixie, & glad it's not snowing!
I am in Vt and I just took the dogs for a walk, and nearly blew away. I can't imagine DH trying to ski today up here. But he went. Very bright and sunny, but fierce wind. The dogs are beyond dirty has the dirt road is a muddy mess, and the snow banks are too way too high to climb to get out of the mud. I have barricaded the open door into the kitchen to keep them out of the rest of the house. They shook off, so now I will have to wash the floors, but no point for the next few days. It isn't that cold, just below freezing, and the wind gust not that strong in mph, but when funneled up the valley it is seems like a gale. Patti.
Kind of a cold damp day here, snow is sliding south of us for now.
Glad you're back in VT! It seems like a long time since you've been around here, Patti. Welcome to mud season!
Temp 39.3°, Wind WNW13.7 mph, Wchill 22.9°. ☺
37.7, WC 29, winds NNW 14 mph.
I am heading off to Ct for tomorrow and Sunday. I am going to work on designing a third floor living space in an old Inn. It will be an interesting job, plus I hope to maybe stop at a nursery on the way over. U conn lost today, so they will be sad, but not distracted by BB. The weather is suppose to be good. DH survived skiing, and said, except for the big crowds (snowboarding nationals) and the wicked wind, that it was great. He is passing on it tomorrow, however. But will ski again on Sunday and Monday. I was so naive that I thought I might start doing some spring clean up in the yard. I can't climb over the snowbanks to get to the yard which is still buried. How soon I forgot how much snow we get up here in the winter. Patti
Sounds like fun, Patti. Have a good time.
High winds all day. Our first crocus, the ones next to the house bloomed today. They had been cleared of leaves, but the wind blew them back so crocus look like they are peeking out from under a blanket.
The wind has moved on....now I am wishing the temperature would go up a bit faster. I'm dying to get out there!!! I'll be happy with 40°
Just a nice gentle breeze today with sunny blue skies A few wispy clouds and chilly 28 degrees. The ground is frozen again. Didn't spring start already? Did we notify the guy in charge of the weather?
22 and sunny. Later next week we should get into the 40's.
Anita - I'm with you! It's 34.3 now and I, too, am waiting for 40 and hoping it gets there by 10 AM.
at least the sun is out!! Yippee. I sowed a few containers while I waited. I think I'll throw my shoes on and head out. I'll work up a sweat getting the mulch and compost out of the truck

While leaves now cover much of the garden, the garden fork can now be pushed into the ground for the length of the tines, so soil is trying to thaw out.
Cold but sunny. Perfect raking and planning weather!
A day from heaven...where's my motrin!!!!!
33 and sunny, I did a little clean up in my front garden, and it felt good. Of course, the only color there are the Easter eggs scattered through it!
Wow, now I know where to go skiing if I ever take it up! ☺
Better be cross country - a 50' rise is a big hill there.
It is on Long Island, too!
Wow - hope I don't see that stuff in your Memorial Day photo, Al! Happy Easter to all!
A sunny 30 degrees here with highs expected in the low to mid 40s.
According to my newspaper, the last time Easter was this early was 1913. And the next time will be in 2160 - 152 years from now!
Happy Easter everyone! - Lynn

Yes, Lynn, I read that, too. It's my son-in-law's once in a lifetime Easter birthday and next year Easter will fall on my daughter's birthday. Odd coincidence.
We have 32 here so I hope it warms up by the time Jack is ready to put the leg of lamb on the grill this afternoon.
Happy Easter to all!
Me too - only my email said not for another 220 years! Happy Easter!
Pirl - that is an odd coincidence that the 2 birthdays are Easter birthdays. Today is my brother in law's brithday too, and we were thinking we've never celebrated his birthday and Easter together before.
It's beautiful and bright with nary a cloud in the sky today, but the temp is only 31 degrees, and there's a bit of a wind.
Looks nice, feels cold!
It's my dogs B-Day today too, she's 11 and enjoying a nice bone right now.
Sunny & cold, however much less wind than yesterday.
Another pretty but cold day. Spent it out in the shed cleaning up and sharpening clippers and stuff...
Spent mine cooking a prime rib roast and re-potting my paphs. Still have 2 to go and then maybe I'llstart on the cymbidiums. Wish it was a bit warmer so some could air outdoors while I work on their cousins!
