Hey adel, I spotted a Eastern Towhee today! LOL
DAILY PICS VOLUME #77
A real cutie WB Nuthatch pelle!
adelbert, love the collage of the Hummer.
Great shot of the N. Meadowlark dellrose, it really is camouflaged in the grass except for it's bright yellow breast!
The Doves almost look like ornaments on the bird bath Dinu. Impressive birds together in the tree, the Hornbill is a big bird.
Ah burn, still snow, but you have sun!
Congrats on the E Towhee nanny!
Well it was really like spring at midday today, I was thrilled, until it turned dull, then duller. I got House Sparrows arguing over the peanuts before it got really dull, one was trying to get the other as it went around the silo. 3 shots taken a second apart.
The Great Spotted Woodpecker came back, but it went before I could get focused. I hid in the bushes and it did come back, but didn't land on the nuts. It might have spotted me but I spotted it in the flowering cherry tree, then it flew away! It's been around laughing, it has an unmistakable call, I will get it yet!
Cool shots, wallaby! I have been chasing/following the sounds of the Pileated drumming a few mornings. It had to be there right in the area in front of me, but darn if I could see that bird!!
Last month, I posted a pic of a burrowing owl that I found at the visitor's center of our local university. Yesterday, I was on campus again; so I stopped by to see if the owl was still around. Sure enough, it was. Better yet, it appears to have found a mate. Maybe there will be baby owls soon (I hope). The owl on the left was the same size as the one on the right ... it was just half hiding in the burrow.
I am sooooooo thankful for having a digital camera. It took me over 30 shots before I got one with both owls looking in my direction. LOL
Although I have seen an occasional starling around here, this is the first time I've seen so many of them at once. From other posts I've seen, I take it that they are not a desirable bird to have around. Just one question folks ... which one of you sent 'em here to New Mexico?
(If I'd just learn to type, I wouldn't have to keep editing my posts!)

nanny_56 good pics. Was the Towhee a first? How do you resize your pics when sending. Mine suddenly are posting king size and I'm doing what I always did before.
Thanks nanny, those WPs are sneaky!
Jane, wow, fancy getting both owls together! great shot! The House Sparrow looks like the breast feathers are fluffed over the wing a little, I have one with very pale breast feathers, likely a juvenile.
We have red-winged blackbirds here; but I've only seen a few of them and I haven't been able to get a good shot of one. I was hoping this one was a red-winged; but it was nice enough to spread its wing and say, "Nope ... no red here!" I'm now guessing that this a Brewer's Blackbird, which is about the same size as the red-winged.
I downloaded this program to the computer and it is sooo easy! Look on the righthand size about halfway down for Image Resizer and download. To resize, you just click on your photo then right click and the box will pop up. Click on resize and another box with sizes will pop up. Choose what size, I use small, and it makes a another thumbnail that size!
