Thanks for info, Resin and nanny_56.
That's a big help and will see if I've overlooked it in my Alaska Birds book.
How nice to have both a bluebird and cardinal in the same shrub, nanny.
Kiska

Be sure to keep us posted on the Swallows.
Nice pics everyone! Hi kiska!
Nice pics nanny!
Nice pics everybody. :)
adelbert, are you close to the famed Capistrano? I know the swallows are scheduled to return on the 19th.
JulieQ..............we are several hundred miles North of Capistrano. I think those are Cliff swallows and these are Tree Swallows.
Hi wallaby and thanks, pellatory.
I checked w/the Alaska Birds book and, sure enough, it's been overlooked. At our feeder we don't get much of a variety; chikadees, a little wren/like bird that I don't the name of either, and red-polls. Last March, a Pine grosebeak stopped by as well a couple of ptarmigan.
Certainly is nice seeing so many other types here.
Kiska

Welcome Kiska! Congrats on the Red breasted Nuthatch!
