Thanks for the new thread Adel...Love the Hummers and the Tree Swallows! How well I remember the Cliff Swallows returning to Capistrano! Seems like only yesterday...sigh...
Kiska..congrats on the RB Nuthatch. Never seen one at our feeders but they are in the area and I would love to see one.
Nanny...Nice variety of birds for you today and you sure do have Grackles!
GG...Love the little Downys!
Wallaby..I just love those Blue Tits...and you got some great pics!
Here is the Male and Female Eastern Bluebird. Was too busy this AM so these were taken in the late afternoon.
DAILY PICS VOLUME #77
Those Blue Birds are really getting serious, dellrose; what with the wing waves and the preening, looks as though they'll soon have some little mouths to feed!
Okay, I now have "expensive camera" and "bluebird" envies. Nice pix Rose!
Thanks, dellrose; maybe I can get a good pic of it...you're all so good at bird photos; love seeing them.
Great pics everyone!
Marilyn
Wonderful pics guys!!
Great pictures folks.
Mrs. Ed, that dose of envy must be going around, because now I also have it! LOL
Very cold, cloudy and windy here today. Doubt there will be many photo ops.
GG
Oh yes and I forgot to add, Warm weather envy! I was over on the iris forum reading about Californians and Arizonans who have Iris blooming!! What the???? How is THAT fair?
Thank you all! The Blue Tits were having to take back seat to the House Sparrows this afternoon, they come in floods then leave. The peanuts lasted 2 days this time! I saw a Woodpecker land on the nut silo briefly but there was few nuts in it and the sparrows said they were theirs!
Wow, lots of great pics today!
The House Sparrows can hover very well, something I didn't know before. They would hover while they found a place on the nuts, or pushed some others off.
Thats funny they don't bother w/ peanuts at my place.
That is strange pelle, but they don't have anyother 'free' food at the moment, yours might? I was squatted in chilly gale winds by the shrubbery this afternoon, a Robin flew onto it briefly too but I didn't get a good shot. It looked to take a quick peck, but I mostly see it on the ground picking up the bits.
The ones I got of Robin when he flew to the copper tubing were very dark for some reason, may have been the sudden appearance of blue sky with white cloud behind. I like this shot though!
That's okay Sybil, you have everyone beat with your Pileateds!!!
