Betty,
until you figure out just WHAT is going on with your stomach, have you tried taking some Tums or Prilosec to keep some of the acid at bay?

Diagnosing from hundreds and hundreds of miles away--me thinks you have an ulcer......
Try not to eat any strong, fatty, spicy foods. Stick to a "bland" diet.....Drink some milk or cream now and then (don't over do it!) and GET YOUR BUNS TO A DOCTOR, LADY!!!!!!
If it were to be a bleeding ulcer--have you noticed any blood in your poop? It would not be red--but a very darkish brown.
What does your Dr. say? You have been to one--Yes???????

Don't have us all tied up in knots here--we all worry about you! Yes! Even ME!

Best--Gita

Well good evening everyone!

Liz, I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle.

Betty, is it snowing yet? Man, I cannot believe you're still getting storms. How long does your area keep the cold weather before spring starts kicking in? We had tremendous wind today. I know everyone in our neighborhood is missing roof tiles - us included.

I went this morning to get my hair cut and colored then hit the local garden center by me that was having a "spring blooming days". I had to buy myself a varigated Daphne Odora. They smell heavenly!!! I also bought a Lenten Rose (Helliborous). They also had some old perennials 50% off so I bought two 1 gal. ice plants - a yellow and orange one - for $4.50 each.

Once I got home, I spent the better part of the rest of the day starting the redecorating of the kid's bathroom. Step one was after taking everything off the walls and removing all the brackets, we had to prime the walls. The paint on the walls now was an aqua that would have shown thru the green going up. So we had to put on 2 coats. Still have to touch up the corners. Measured the shower and window for the curtains and may try to whip those up tomorrow in between painting.

OK, someone out there is really sneaky!! I got this box today with NO return address or post mark. How does that happen??? So my secret pal has struck! And whoever you are - thank you VERY much for all the goodies! My neighbor was with me when I opened the box and she was just ooohing and ahhhing and couldn't believe we have this group of friends!! So enough with the suspense.... My SP goodies are:

Ceramic egg with pansy seeds to grow
3 sets of "pot feet" to place under flower pots
a cute little cross stitch kit
a cute brush for scrubbing my dirty garden feet
a really neat cut "glass" vase with flowers figurine
a pair of garden gloves
a pretty floral tin pot to put a plant in
and a pretty glass plaque with sunflowers that says:
Laugh for yesterday
Live for today
Pray for tomorrow
Love for always

I love it alll!!!! Thank you SP!!! Woo hoo!!

ok - off to veg the night away. I'll check back w/ everyone tomorrow!

TY again SP!

Well, aren't you the lucky one, GG. How fun! And you got new plants, a new do, and had a great day. I can't wait to see pictures of daughter's bathroom

Well, folks, it has not been fun, but I might be nearing the end of this nasty crud. Now I find that this is the strain that is newest and is fairly resistant to any of the flu vaccines, so I guess I am pretty fortunate to have made it through with no more trouble than I had. I have no sign of a cold, just a dry cough. No stomach cramps, but vertigo which caused the nausea. As of yesterday, the pneumonia is lessened, the white blood count is back to normal and I finally got enough fluid in so that the fear of dehydration was not as great. And, today I was able to eat a piece of toast and tonight a part of a baked potato. So major milestones!

I sure hope you all don't get it, and if you do, I hope you have as good a neighbor as I did taking care of me. Well, those of you who live alone, I mean. I just hope that my friend doesn't get sick from having hauled me to and from the doctor every other day.

Anyway, that is about it for me. I have enjoyed reading your posts and know I will never catch up.
I am concerned about Rachel, haven't heard much from Cat. Ruby, I need to get organized, too, maybe soon.
Ves...you OK?
Liz, sorry about your uncle, and love the Ladybug! How clever.
Dawn, how is the new flower bed?
Judy....anxious to see your bird feeder flower thingy....
Gita, nicely organized seeds, when I plant new daylilies in my DL bed, I also use slips of blinds for ID. It does work.
Betty, I agree with Gita, until you get some tests run, you probably need to go on a very bland diet......no spices, only the blandest combinations. If you have the beginning of an ulcer it won't necessarily be bleeding, but the symptoms are similar. A lot of the time ulcers can be controlled with diet and some mild meds. I have had a fight with stomach ulcers since 1994, but I know by now how to deal with them. I find that cheeses and potatoes help the most when they are acting up, also rice and mild mild pasta dishes. And those things might help until you find out what is really causing the problem. But all your favorite food flavors might be have to be compromised, you know.

So I will be thinking of you.

Geesh, I know I missed some people.....I just can't think anymore. You all have a good evening, I hope I will be more back to normal by tomorrow.
Take care.

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

oh dear shar... poor you hope you are getting better.

i am madly sewing on my machine and have finished me SP gift so off it goes next week. i will be posting both months in the one to save on postage but it will probably take a couple of weeks to get there... hehehehe so excited.

thought i might try my hand at hand sewing hence the teddy. i found a pattern for a sleeping one which i will try. have you seen the prices of the fur thoough! OMG its like $50 -$150 a yard!!!!!

Morning,

Jeannine, aren't we just like children, waiting patiently (or not) to see what our special secret pal has sent us??? just too much fun..got mine out Friday so probably will take a week or so..sounds as though you've the bedroom under control..did Murphy like the plants you bough? lol - good prices...

Gita and Shar..Dr. does think it's gallbladder..get my tests done Friday-March 28th..didn't think there was much to a stew so tried it..tummy still burning this morning..I'll have a coffee and toast and leave it at that..will check the variety next door for thumbs as there is so much snow, they'll probably not clear roads till late this morning so won't be venturing out very far..

Shar so glad you are on the mend...if your neighbor gets ill you'll just have to return the favor..lol..glad you are eating something..only way to regain your strength..hope you haven't lost tons of weight..you are so miniature as it is..

Laura, sounds as though you are truly enjoying your sewing and machine running fine...what size is the teddy..is it large, does it have the inserts for moving arms/legs/head or is it in one piece...did have some fur from Caleb's monkey costume..might be enough for a little teddy..I used to make them, then the children grew up..they all have one to keep as a 'keepsake' and inside I stuffed a heart with a special memory thought..not sure if they will ever open it up, but it's there, along with a noise insert that when they move the bear it makes his sounds...sometimes Laura you can go to Salvation Army or similar and look for mink coat which no one seems to be wearing anymore or reg. fur coat and use it, just means more work and cutting pattern through lining versus the actual fur...good investment though if you are trying to keep cost down....

Well, going to sand my birdfeeder and get it painted..

Judy, sneak preview of what you've done so far...lol

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

hi there

the bear i am going to attempt is not jointed, i do have other patterns coming for others that are smaller and jointed.

this one is a sleeping one that lays on the bed. so cute. i want to give it a go anyways and see.

have a day off tomorrow so no work. will have a relaxing day.

chat soon.

Greetings All - Wow, what a busy Saturday that everyone had. I know that I will miss saying something to all of you, I still haven't desciplined myself enough to make notes as I read. First things first though - Betty, now you have officially heard it from three people on here, GET YOURSELF TO A DOCTOR. If it was bad enough last night to almost go to hospital, you need to get it attended to. Everyone else is giving suggestions, so I will too. I have always had a pretty healthy gut even though every thing else is weak, but it kind of sounds like meats are your culprit at the moment. You seem to have problems when you have meat with the meal. Try cutting that out for a bit and see what happens.

Your seed planting is looking good Gita. I have several houseplants that have come from you. Along with the begonias that you sent me last fall, I also potted up the bamboo that you were sharing at the swap last June. Of course I can't forget the pregnant onion. ha-ha Love the name of that one.

Liz, sorry about the uncle. Will look forward to your stories of the next few days. I enjoyed the car trip one that you shared recently. ha-ha Poor thing. You now have me wanting to find some bowling balls too. I have seen some really neat things done with them. I love your ladybug ball and am looking forward the seeing the catepillar one that you have planned.

Judy, it sounds as though you are a real trooper. If I had the problems that you did with a project, I would lay it down, never to be touched again. You show real fortitude.

Cool stuff from secret pal Jeannine. You and I are having the same sorts of weather. The wind here blew especially hard late yesterday too. My oldest dog was so upset for several hours. He is terrified of the wind.

Laura, what outrageous prices for the fur for the bear you are making. Isn't there a cheaper substitute that you could use? You are motivating me to get out my sewing machine pretty soon. I have never been known to be a seamstress, but I am going to give it a try after house is straightened. Speaking of which....you folks didn't think that I would let a day go by and not mention my organizing project did you? What aboring life I lead, when cleaning house is what interests me most. ha-ha

Oops, first.....GREAT news Shar about being on the mend. Yep, you sound as though things are looking better for you. Poor sweet lady. Don't over do it too soon please. You are still going to be weak for a while. Am glad that you were able to get down a little food and that you are getting enough fluids. Those things are very important.

For anyone else that I may not have spoken to, sorry, but I refuse to try and go back and see who I missed. Too much of a chance of losing this post.

This is long enough....I will update yesterdays organizing progress later this morning. I hope that everyone will have a wonderful day.

Pacifica, CA

morning all,

oh boy sitting here in anticipation for sil to arrive so the fun can start.....
and on top of all her antics now she wants to stop at super walmart this morning on the way up.

jeannine, oh daphne i have one i look foward to this time every year
i have mine next to the frount door the aroma is devine! it is not the easiest plant to find here, i had to order mine from a nursery i put mine in a large oriental pot.
i heard it was a slow grower and did not like to be moved? had you heard this? your ice plant the mini one? oh they are beautiful when they take off in clumps the flowers are so pretty and bright and your sp was so nice look at all the goodies.

betty, well the sniviling worked didnt have to do to much all i did was say look betty and judy are working on theirs :( first i got the good for them, then he said im going out to hang out in the garage where it is safe.
then curious as i am i snuck out in the kitchen crawled to the doggie door and peaked oh guess what i saw he was looking at the pine for the birdhouse but when i went out there a little while later he didnt like the wood so off to home depot we went.
when we got back our neighbor across the street came by to say she loved it and wanted a pattern so we gave her one.
now mr trouble maker said lately his manly talents are becomming a purse maker, a bowling ball taper and a birdhouse maker think i have to buy him a mussel too.
lol oh and the best one a few days ago was he was going to buy me a pay phone grrrrrr now what do you suppose that was all about!!
so the birdhouse is all cut, he wants to finish it up at mil because there is a nail gun up there so im going to have fil work on the stained glass peices for the icecream wind chime to.

shar, verdigo to, oh you poor thing i have been hoping for a speedy recovery for you so you can enjoy the warming weather, i saw rachel was getting ready to have a working party at her home maby its taking up alot of her time, perhaps that is why she has not posted. i hope so.. well glad your able to eat, and just to think how nice to have such a neighbor like you have that is wonderful.

Okay....I found a little clipping in the papers that I was going through yesterday. I want to share some thoughts on it here and hope that each of you too will have a little to say about it. Whenever I hear things that I know that I can use on down the road, I make a note of it. I am not sure where I heard or saw this, but the note says:

I AM.........the most powerful words in the universe. Whatever we put behind them, becomes our reality. Without giving it too much thought, I know that I want my fill in the blank to be something positive, because I spent way too many years being negative about myself. I was literally in my very late 30's or early 40's before I was able to begin liking myself, despite all of my flaws. I think that is the beginning of wisdom. When beginning to like and accept ourselves, we free ourselves of so much worry and stress. I guess the thought is that if I am happy with myself, it doesn't really matter much what others think.

Anyway, giving a few minutes thought to this question, the first thing that comes to mind for me is the word HELPER. Oh yeah, I want to be a good wife, mother, mother in law, grand mother, sister, aunt and so forth. I want to help those in my life in any way that I can. Others who have selfish ambitions or a cruel streak running through them are often leary of someone coming along who does things out of love, with no expectation of repayment. The whole concept of helping others is greek to them. They are suspicious in nature and have a hard time receiving help offered freely.

I am just thinking out loud folks. Would anyone else like share how they would fill in the blank?

Ruby

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wow that sure is powerful..must be a day of reflection..will think more on it. Funny you should post..someone recently asked me what I get out of doing things for others? It's not a fault nor is it a great trait, it is in my opinion very simple..it's just to make someone's day a little more special..not to receive the glory, not to feel I'm better than thou just feeling good about oneself...I receive many of the benefits of friendship because I try to be a good friend as well..Just finished watching Creflo Dollar and his ministry today was on being a friend and what friendship means and a few plus and negative portions gave me time to reflect as to what I offer in a friendship...Here were a few notes I took!!!

A true friend...

. comforts and supports you during times of difficulty
. ardently loyal to you, will even change their plans in order to help
you
. a friend regardless of what you've done, no matter how great the
incident is
. a friend who does not gossip about you
. a friend who always has a smile and act of kindness for you
. a friend who speaks constructively, no matter if it hurts
. a friend who will listen to you and will never gossip that
conversation to another
. a friend who picks you up and doesn't beat you down when things
are hard
. a friend who protects you from other who want to do you harm

These are the things one should look for in a 'true friend'

Some of the reasons you 'friends???' are not calling you:

. you always enjoy gossiping
. you continually drag up 'dead bones'
. you are always harping on the most miniscule things
. you are always directing the coversation to you and not your friend
. you never see the sunshine in a day..always seeing the negatives

Guess along with Ruby's 'thought of the day' or 'reflection of oneself?' it gives one food for though!

Ruby, thanks for sharring ...

Hey There Betty- Today hasn't been as productive for me as yesterday was. I am getting a few things done though. Your birdhouse is cute, cute, cute. I don't want to make one myself, too hard and don't have the concentration, but would love to have someone make a couple or three of them to hang. We have two feeders in front of our living room window and we really enjoy watching them eat and play. I might say something to hubby about making a couple and I might have to come back here and get the directions from you then.

Man, I feel for you in all that snow. I thought that I wanted to see some snow this year, but it has now gotten too late and I hope that it stays away. I will take a sun shiny day like today anytime.

So far, I emptied and sorted a legal papers drawer, cooked a venison roast with potatoes and carrots, ran the vacuum and took dead leaves off of a huge spider plant that I have. It is now time to go and take a shower. I have two doctor appointments tomorrow morning. One is to just pick up medication and the other is maybe the last time I see the plastic surgeon who performed my breast reconstruction. I might set up one more visit to have a nipple tatooed on to implant breast. Looks really strange with out one. ha-ha

I will most likely check back in again later too. Yep, this particular thread is addictive.

Good Day all,

Well finally got my wood cut this AM...Gluing the base and the roof pieces together. Will take a bit to dry so thought i 'd come on and say hello. Got a busy day today, laundry going, MIL arrived last night. DH tired from driving so thought to give poor guy a break and not bug him...Worked well because first thing this morning asked me if I was ready to make the cuts!! So sweet.
So MIL here because she had to have surgery on her foot. Will be here till Monday or Tues. SIL took her home and dropped her off, watched her fall down trying to get into house!! Infuriated me she didn't think to help guide her in. So We talked about it decided we didn't want to be worring about her should something else while alone...So Dh scooped her up and she is staying in Breenie's room. Anyway i am playing nurse too, LOL don't know if i will drive her nuts or she me. Man she is heavy...got DS to help move her around.
Ok off to prepare her seat to read and stuff, plus she needs to have hair washed sooo take care of all that maybe pieces will be dry.

Ok I'llo be back in a little bit...

Ruby, I love what you wrote, That is how I try to veiw life everyday. Works well for me.

Liz, no pointing..Good luck with sil, bite your tongue girl!

Shar, Great to see you!! Hope the rest of the crud disapears today.

Hi to all...oop got to fly.

Glenview, IL

Hi, Everybody...Birdhouse feed coming along very nicely.
Betty i am so excited...I had to sneak (LOL) but i played with table saw. Watched very carefully what DH did. hehehe, anyother time i would have gotten angry cuz a couple pieces had to be slightly trimmed, was going to use the jig but then ohwah, left the table saw.
Soooo, very carefully i made the four cuts, i needed....Ohoh, now i am have a new bug in my system, hmmm going to start begging for a little one!..OK ran into snafu, as forgot to make the Lips on an angle, thats a different tool now...got to pull out chop saw LOL have to figure out which one that is..

Had to laugh, MIL watching tv very loudly!!! OMG I swear the DEAD could here it. But she is comfy and doing well, hair nice and clean and got all the junk she needs, paper book, etc etc...Number one weapon...ROFL the Phone!!

Ruby, sounds like your organising the paper is going well, we do it about once a year. Hahha, I get more frustrated on some projects, some i leave until i figure what the heck I should do about them...I figure eventually they will get done...Then some project like this one, I will jump through fire to get it done just because it's Stuck in my head...and for the most part I am having a ball with it.

GG, wow you got some really neat stuff...Secret Pal strikes again, heheh. Hope you have fun redecorating bathroom, LOL seems to be on everyones agenda...

Betty, Will not hound you about the doc, but I will say...You my friend are from Stupid!! Please don't say that about yourself, You are learning about different food so just chalk that up as something you can't have. The ladies, here gave good advise about eating bland.
Geeze you must be out and about...guess everyone is quiet here today. Thank you for post the birdhouse feeder, thinking now that I know what I am doing will be easier to make a few more.

Hey Laura, hope you enjoy your visit with DD. LOL, glad your still enjoying the sewing, I can't wait till your SP receives it so we can be delighted with your work.

Well, Gee Liz...hahah, guess you will have to play catch me if you can..LOL almost done!! Oh Your Ladybug is just so cute, will be cool to have the Bumble bee too...what a neat way to reuse bowling balls, I like where you placed it too.

See you later...got to go again.

Look at that sweetie...how wonderful Liz that everyone got along..must be stressful just worrying about it..you've been busy cutting glass for the windchime..looks as though you've been quite busy..

what a quiet day..I dug myself out of the snow, painted the birdhouse, worked here and there on my stained glass piece, watched 2 movies and vacuumed the entire couch for cat hair and I think Sailor has been resting well on it as well..and that was my day..almost time to call it a night...

Ruby the birdfeeder is much too big to be hung..must be attached to a 4x4..know I'll have a few visiting squirrels but that's ok they must be fed as well...

Best..just a quiet day relaxing
Worse..snow is not fun anymore...much too much..I'm tired from shovelling..
What did I learn...that I can relax...somewhat...2 movies, feet up and enjoying..

Oh, I love the birdfeeders Betty & Liz. So cute!!!

So have been very busy today - I think! Woke up and of course my whole day has been off because of daylights savings time. I decided to get right to the painting this morning instead of showering since I'd get - painty. touched up some areas then decided to go run a couple of quick errands. Hit Pet Smart and bought one of those "Furminators". Has anyone used one before? Let me tell you, it cost $50 and within 10 mins I had enough fur from Murphy to cover a small dog! I haven't told DH how much it cost yet. Figured I'd try to get as much of the shedding off of Murphy before the bill comes in then he'll see how good it is! Also hit Lowes again and bought some oak pieces to make a needlework frame I saw at the quilt show. They were selling for $50 & $60 for a 4x4" frame and I found the gripper stuff on eBay for $26. I'll have enough to make two - one for me and one for my sister. Just have to get DH to cut the wood to the right specifications then stain it.

DS had his first baseball practice today so DH took him and I stayed home with DD. I actually got some time to just sit on the couch and veg for a bit. Was dosing until the cable guy called and wanted to come early to switch out our box. He was a talker!!! Couldn't shut him up or get him out!

Well, hugs to everyone out there. I'm off to lala land!

Ciao!

Just wanted to do a quick post before I head to bed. I am exhausted. My parents and two of my nieces arrived on the train on Friday. They're staying until next Friday and we've been having a nice visit. Also, on Friday the school had a winter carnival/playday. It was the first time they tried it and it went really well. I hope they do it every year.

Today I went ice fishing for the first time ever. The people I babysit for took me with them. We went to a lake that you have to fly into. It was really exciting. We went in a little plane with just enough room for the three of us, the pilot and our gear. It was so windy at first but thankfully the wind died down in the afternoon. I had on lots of layers plus my -100 degree boots. Last year one of my friends gave me a nice down parka that she didn't use anymore so I had it on too. I was so thankful for it while out on the ice. It has a nice deep hood with fur trim to help keep out the wind. I still have windburn on my cheeks though - I made sure I put sunscreen on before I left this morning. Anyway, I caught 3 pike and 12 or 13 walleye. I released all of the pike and most of the walleye though. One of the pike was about 3 feet long - very cool.

I'm off to bed now. I need to recuperate from all that fresh air.

Glenview, IL

Oh My Gosh!!
What wonderful reading tonight!!
Gilli, how cool was that!! Nice catches you had too. Whaaa!

Liz, yay...Bird house feeder is great, Oh I love the pedistal..

GG, Yay, always comfy to be couch potatoe..LOL.

Well, got to report..I am pleased as punch!!
...all that is left: sanding and water seal!!!

Betty, very cool project! hehe, few ups and downs but You should do this for one of your craft workshops!!

morning all,

ruby, what came to my mind was a giver.. powerful statement.
well on the way up to mil it was dh,dd, and sil so it was pretty normal, actually typical brother and sister nonsence, bickering nothing unusual lol
mil and fil were getting along, although someything really did aggravate me and it was sil!!
i find it a bit odd that we were the only one who brought a rose plant for mil for her loss
and while mil was cooking breakfast, i was the only one who bothered to get up and help.
i guess she is cluless..
although dh wins the award at one point in the day sil mentioned that she see's two men so dh poped off with so what are you telling us you run a dog shelter for strays? in a sick sort of way fil and myself laughed ahhh poetic justice.

betty, look at your yard, i cant believe how much snow is still there, now was it you that was mentioning a frienship garden? i just cant remember, i have a new dove at the frount door and two eggs, their just so cute! now the family is doing the oddest thing they told dh that there is no service for uncle john they will put him to rest in the family plot and will only have a immediate get togeather in sacramento at one of the sisters house and that is that. i guess people do things different nowadays im so use to tradition.

Liz - one warning - DO NOT brush the dog in the house (like we did!) And do not wear clothing that the fur will stick to (like we did!). I had fur in my mouth by the time I stopped. And all Murphy wanted to do was eat his fur as I pulled it off. Hopefully, your dog will stay still for the process if you get one! Check out eBay first - much cheaper!

Morning, blue sky and -29 here today..even the car didn't want to warm up..put the furnace higher and turned the 2 fireplaces on so the painting group when they arrive will be toasty..

We left earlier this morning so we've been here almost an hour already..I'm just so very tired..

Must tell you why..went to bed at 9pm last night, got comfy, wanted to watch a movie but fell asleep, woke up twice and watched but a few minutes and off to la la land again..telephone rings at about 10pm so because the boys were out snowmobiling thought I'd better answer because 'moms' first instinct is something must be wrong..

Answer the call, say hello about 5 times, there is static but mega arguing going on..just wakening up I'm wondering if it could be one of the boys??? So I listen for awhile longer and I recognize the voice, it's a young gentleman who does some work for our firm...he's having a mega fight with his wife, talk of some violence so not wanting to listen to it I hang up..so now, I'm shaken, first thinking it's the boys and secondly that this young couple is having such a time...so after a long while I fall asleep once again, at 13:30 telephone rings again, I answer, hello/hello and the same thing is going on..fighting, screeming etc. so I hang up again..now I can't fall back asleep..but eventually I do..3:20 phone rings again, this time I don't answer it but now I toss, turn, upset stomach and by 4:30 I decide I might as well get up..so virtually no 'sleep'...now because of the storms and I put the phones to the house incase of bad weather for Mondays I can only assume this young man (in drunken stupper) wanted to talk to 'Paul' and has the office number on his cel. but he was so drunk he wouldn't have noticed that it's weekend time and office is closed..I don't know, couldn't be hitting cel in error because he hit it 3 times and didn't even realize he called a number and didn't shut off his telephone...rats...so, that's how my Monday morning started out..

You girls did me proud..look at those birdfeeders...I'm envious Liz because I know once yours is painted it will be outside...you'll have to post photo of the flowers in it..just a reminder .. on the top section that goes down, did you drill about 4 drill holes along the bottom part so when you water the water can escape...that's a must or it will rot...

Judy, you've the bug for tools..Mother's Day is just around the corner, get a 'must have' tool..leaving tool magazine or sale flyer around might help..I'm brazzen, I just call and say, I'm looking for......on Mothers' Day! Always works..that's how I got my stained glass Taurus 3 cutter..major expenditure but then I'm worth it..lol

Gilly, not only did you get a rest for the day away from family but a flight in a plane..how marvellous is that..bet you are having 'fish' dinner tonight...how did the family get up there? Did they drive and take the train or could they have flown in..that would be quite an undertaking, driving with all the blizzards we've been having..but then it seems we're getting more snow here than further north..snowbelt area I guess...you tell those children of yours that I loved the drawings they made for me...

Dawn, how far would you be from where Liz lives...have you started your pavers yet? We need photo's of the finished trim as well..what color did you finally do it?

Jeannine, spent at least 1 1/2 hrs. going through the cough, drapes, under furniture cleaning excess dog/cat hair yesterday..Sailor is loosing her coat..lordy I need one of those..have a good comb and it works, often end up with bags of fur, but that looks even easier..will check Pet Value and other animal supply companies and see if they have it..you are so funny with regards to not telling DH about cost till you have to..lol
I remember, not that Roger gave me a rough time, but he was like most men, 'why do you need it, couldn't you have found it cheaper' etc.etc. so when I bought something I would always lesten how much it cost then he'd smile and say 'is that your cost or my cost'..always knew it was too much of a bargain....brought back some memories...good luck on the frames..seems were all in the 'construction' phase..

Liz, think the times are changing with regards to funerals..I've seen a few people of late die and it's like they never were..no ceremony and that's the way they wanted it..personally, the 3 day service we had for Roger (as with most) kind of brought some type of acceptance, closure..was hard enough as it was that I couldn't possibly imagine how I would have coped had he been here one day and then not! Important part of the grieving process..when we spoke of death and arrangements in years prior to my fathers' passing he just wanted to be cremated and that was it..maybe a small ceremony..no open casket..but I talked him into at least having a few hours of viewing ... so when he passed, we did exactly that..1pm - 3pm viewing and then he was cremated..church mass was held in the funeral home directly after the casket was closed...
so guess it's entirely up to the individuals request...every time I want to talk to the boys about what I want they freak out..so I do have everything written for them..better change the subject..

Cat..you feeling ok...know you were down and out for a few days...

Ruby, you keep up this pace and you'll have everything tip/top shape before spring actually hits..

Shar...feeling better this morning? How's your weather..

Trop..how's the greenhouse going?

Laura..guess you are sleeping, Monday over with..any packages???

Jeannine, Sailor absolutely loves it when I comb her..her haunches are so thick with hair that I thought I might have her shaved somewhat this spring..maybe this tool will save me doing so..if I can't find it, I'll be ordering on-line..
